Great experience.

The reason for the rating I have provided is due to the following: Cleanliness, & Maintenance.

Upon arrival to the cabin I inspected all dormitories, kitchen, living room and I found a few things out of place that I believe should of been taken car of.

The restroom near the living room had a horrible stench/smell and as I opened the toilet seat there was left feces and noticed the toilet was clogged. I called the help desk and quickly sent a maintenance employee to fix, but still inconvenient as there is now vent in that restroom so the smell prolonged for the next two days. There was trash bags left in the same restroom and in the laundry room.

One of the restrooms in the bedrooms had a shower door out of place so I had to lift and pop pack in (dangerous) and believe that is a wear and tear issue and should be checked. Shower doors do show a little more water stains than it should have and gunk growing in between where the door slides.

Kitchen fridge has a filter that NEEDS to be changed and it clearly shows you (red light) that it needs to be replaced.

Big Bear Vacations has THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE, But the product provided was not in adequate condition to exceed the 2 star rating.

Nice place. Just gave four stars because the down stairs area stunk so bad. Come to find out when I was checking out I looked in the trash cans in the garage and someone had left trash there. This should have been taken by previous residents and/or at least by the property manager. Good thing no one stayed in the downstairs bathroom.

To whom it was concern:
    I’m writing to inform you how truly upset I am with the rental. I had a woman  show up to the cabin in an angry attitude. We actually felt scared by her attitude. She informed me that a neighbor reported us for noise and too many people. but the neighbor asked why we were leaving. She stated she never called anyone or police. Woman also said police officers were called but never had a police officer show up to the door. She kept saying she was going to keep coming back to check the house and us. That we needed to be inside the house and no visitors after 10pm. We are enjoying a family vacation with family and our children. I don’t understand why we had to be sleeping by 10 pm. The woman also informed us that the neighborhood had a bad issues going on ( why not disclose this before I sign a contract?) . We had children why would we not be informed of the unsafe neighbor. The woman also said she wanted to come check. I felt she wanted to check our IDs . I don’t understand the reason behind this. She was not an officer of the court or part of the police. Was it because we were Hispanic? Was it a racist issue? All I will say is that I’m upset and I will inform all family and friends of this issue. Post it on Facebook and Instagram the issues we had . This will not go unsaid and will ask family and friends to not book thru this site. We paid and were treated like we were doing a crime. After what happened no one wanted to stay, they felt intimidated too. There was no refund or credit even offered poor treatment.

I was overall happy with the location and the cabin however there are some areas for improvement: the carpet in the bedroom was very very dirty. I had slippers and the buttom of the soles were black after walking on this carpet. Also all the floors were sticky and dirty. Bathtub was not clean. One kitchen sink was licking and pots and pens were so burnt that they were not usable. One TV did not work and some of the remotes had no batteries. It was ok since we had another TV to watch. Overall it was not bad but the cleanliness of the floors and bathtub could be improved.

Pictures don’t do justice! While I appreciate having my pets with me while I vacation I don’t appreciate a place that basically is filled with old pet orders and stains! This cabin was in a very nice neighborhood.The cabin itself hasn’t been taken care of. The door knobs were either loose or missing,the cabinets were filed with things the owner left which weren’t usable.The furniture was old and dirty. We had arrived to our vacation here at two pm and we preregistered however when we returned at four pm which is the check in time we were told that we would have to wait an additional two hours for our cabin to be ready,yes,we were given a dinner voucher however it was so cold we just wanted to be in our cabin and getting warm. There were no brooms,mops Or other cleaning items.We knew beforehand we would need our own dish soap and laundry soap for which we took.I think t is wrong to expect someone renting a place to bring their own vacuum,mop and broom! If so it should have been explained in the rental.

Great customer support, was quick and easy to check in. If there was an issue at the cabin a customer support rep would be on top of it.

Great experience. Like that we could just leave the key in the lock box, made the check out process a lot easier. Only down fall was the check in time was 4pm and when I check in at 3:45pm I had to get back in line (which was another 20mins) and wait until 4pm or after to get my keys. Staff was very friendly.

It was a great place to stay at. Nice people helping us out..only wish we could check in earlier than 3pm (it’s a big place to clean so I get it)but other than that it was awesome!

We had a great Time.

Only advise- we were in the front unit with 4-5 more behind us. during our stay we had 3 different people try to unlock and come in our cabin because they were not given unit #'s just the main address which was on the front unit. Make sure people know what unit they are supposed to be in!

AVOID THIS BOOKING COMPANY AT ALL COST! To begin with, we were promised a cabin with a hill. The girl said she lived right there and knew there was a hill. That was a lie, the hill part anyway. Then we paid for early check in to find out we could pull in drive way due to the snow and ice covering it, and would have to wait for a service to come. Meanwhile, it is illegal to park on street. Then we get into cabin, and the chairs around the dinning area are about to fall apart. All of them wobbled and most had major cracks in them. Not to mention the broken beer bottle in the back yard my 8year old son found. Lucky he didn’t get hurt. Then I went to take a bath and it leaked to the floor below.

When I asked several times to speak w a manger, I was told one would call me. It’s been three weeks. (I asked before we even walked in the cabin.

This property is pretty close to the slopes, that was the upside. But there are about 100 properties in that same neighborhood, I would choose one of those over one representatives by Big Bear Vaction Rentals. All
They care about is getting your money. They do
Not take care of property or you and will lie to you to get you to book w them . And once you do, they will lie to you to get you to go away. I was told every time I called (probably 5 times), the manger wasn’t available and would call me back. LIE! Just like the agent who took our money over the phone promising the hill. It was my only requirement to booking. I didn’t mind driving yo the slopes. I wanted a hill where my six children could sled together or individual and not force everyone to do same. That girl LIED! And this company knows it because they record their phone calls. Not one person tried to make this lie better.

We are going up again in a few weeks and we will NOT be using this company. They flat out suck in customer service, ethics, and professionalism. Do what you will, but read the reviews! We can’t all be wrong.

We were so lucky to of had such a fun easy relaxing weekend, the cabin was super homey and made us seem right at home! We had a blast playing in the snow, adventuring throughout the town, snowboarding, and most of all the hot tub!! Who wouldn’t want a hot tub in the cold. We were so lucky had such an amazing experience with our time up there, thank you Blair for everything!

Cabin was not the most comfortable with a pretty run down bathroom, not enough utensils in the kitchen and very "drafty".... could use some TLC

Our little cabin was what MADE our first family Big Bear Trip a successful one. It was a new experience staying in a house instead of a hotel room, but having room to spread out and a kitchen took some of the stress out of traveling. Our 6 & 3 year old kids were very cozy.

Very disappointing, we arrived to a cabin that had not been cleaned, we found poop next to one of the beds. A lot of the utilities barely worked. Overall a very disappointing experience.

Pros:
The employees were very nice.
Called maintenance regarding the heating system was not working and the guy showed up within 30 minutes and was very nice.

Cons:
The cabin was not ready at 4:00 pm,
The bunk bed didn't have safety rail to protect kids from falling.
The extra blankets in the closet didn't look clean at all.
The mattress in the bedroom was one of the cheap types where you move and everything shakes in that bed.

what I noticed is that there was no standards in these cabins. it depends on your luck. These cabins are owned by regular people and big bear vacations just rents them and gets their commission. I wish they would have set a standard on certain things like mattresses, sheets, blankets, etc. so that they can control the cleanness of the place.

Your classified ads for housekeepers requires staff to build relationships with your owners... Rhonda goes above and beyond to fulfill owners needs all the time!
When housekeeping is too busy with "Back to Backs" Cindy has Rhonda drop off a bag so owner and friends can set up #800 so it will be ready for Wednesday and Thursday bookings!

Failed to return items I left at the house even after I called to check on them. I guess the cleaning staff just took the items? Disappointing.
