GREAT PROPERTY. EASY CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT. LOVED THIS CABIN.

Honestly it’s a very gorgeous house from the front yard and backyard but the inside is way too dated for 2019. The rooms are the okay part of the cabin. I liked the fact that the home has it’s own washer and dryer which Is very convenient if you’re going skiing and other sports. The kitchen was fully equipped and spacious, We had no problem with that just that the table is pretty old and with only 4 seating chairs and old chair cushions. I mean I looked at the photos before booking and the home Was as described when we showed up, but we just didn’t think it was going to be THAT bad. The couches seemed like they went through war. As bad as it sounds but with all honesty it just wasn’t what we expected. The living room is supposed to be the comfiest room when you’re vacationing whether summer or winter. There you have a gorgeous view towards the front porch but the Couches really killed the vibe. They really uncomfortable and wobbly- I like to sit comfortably but it was mearly impossible when the couch is falling apart and with coffee stains/saliva residues..idk but the stain looked brown and what not. I’m not a germophobe but even then; If i took my infant niece or toddlers then that would become a problem because they crawl and put their hands everywhere and can ingest some bacteria that can later be fatal. We all just spend so much money on cabins yearly to be treated like the host doesn’t have our best interest. Cabins are supposed to be family friendly and the anemities like TV was really 1998 20 in tv with couple of channels. Thank god we took our own board games and that we were only there for 2 nights. For future guests I would recommend looking for something else once the pictures don’t describe what we experienced. Seek options first if you’re looking for cleanliness, comfort and satisfaction. There’s really not much to say about the cabin other than the back yard has a nice view too.

Please have a member of the management team contact me. I gave a full review of the accommodations to the woman at the desk when we checked out. The place was unacceptable.

Cabin was excellent. Staff was very kind and greeted me when I went to pick up the cabin key. Cabin was so beautiful I didn’t want to leave! I recommend going here. We will go here in the summer

Excellent service, the company was actually very accommodating. We had an issue with the garbage disposal at 10pm, and a serviceman was out to fix it within a half hour! He was very polite and helpful, and fixed the issue very quickly.

I think it's more of a management and owner combo problem. First the bed, sofa, carpet, and tv were so old so that needs replacement. I guess it's not management fault, but the floors were dirty especially under the sofa and dresser and that is a management issue.

The cabin had very poor lighting, it was very dark up to the point that it was very uncomfortable.

Also management did not provide any extra trash bags other than the ones in the trash can. I called regarding this and they answered they only provide 1 trash bag, which is strange cause some people require more than 1 trash bag, specially since we have to haul our trash out to the dumpster ourselves. What if there is a hole in the trash bag, don't want anything leaking in the car right.

1. Overall ok. However, kitchen was not the cleanest when we arrived. Plates, utensils,and drawers in the kitchen need some TLC.

2. Pillows and mattes weren’t too comfortable.

3. Did not appreciate how we had to lug all of our trash at the end of our trip in our car to a trash dump 15 min away.

Nice cabin in a great location. Easy transaction.

The cabin was fine. The hot tub was dirty and we weren’t able to use it. Number one reason I wanted this place so that was a bummer birthday weekend. There was old open soap and shampoo stuff left in the shower. I reported the complaint about the hot tub and never got a call back. They did fix it the next day but it was too late. Other than that the location was great and it was great that we got to take our dogs.

Friendly staff, great cabin, great atmosphere for my first time ever going to big bear! I will continue to bring friends and family.

property was in bad shape and not well maintained. submitted work order for repairs but it was still not resolved and found more issues.

The property we stayed at was dirty and falling apart. It needs some serious TLC. Door knobs we’re coming off and most of the locks didn’t work, a lot of the drawers had extra parts and screws in them, the vanity door in the bathroom was falling off, the baby changing pad was torn up, one of the dressers had mouse poop in the drawer, the backyard had trash all over, the fence in the backyard was broken and the bottom of the bbq was being held up by a cinder block. The game room flooded the day before we got there and was unusable. The property could be nice again with repairs and deep cleaning. Not at all what we expected for our yearly family cabin trip. We would not stay at this property again.

On the plus side, there were plenty of rooms and beds. There were nice tvs with lots of accessories too. Big Bear Vacations handled the flooded game room really well, they let us know ahead of time and gave us a credit for the loss of the amenity.

I checked into my vacation rental at 8pm Friday. Come the following morning at 7am myself and the other guest woke up with ants crawling on our faces and bodies. I am extremely disappointed I have payed over a thousand dollars and was given a rental with a bug infestation. The more we looked around the more ants we saw in the food in the beds all over the floors . We’ve contacted the leasing office and was told a person was coming shortly to perform an inspection.They did an inspection and that was it. The guy clearly saw ants everywhere even took videos and photos.... They still did nothing. This has been a really bad experiences seeing as no one would like to wake up with bugs on them. Make sure before renting to clarify with them and read the terms and agreements CLOSELY.

Also, it is the following Thursday and still no call from them after they told us they would be in contact.

I could also tell that the cleaning crew did not even clean. There was dirt, dust in places that couldn't have just accumulated over a couple hours.There was a hairball on the shower wall and Little to no towels. Also, The house was wide open when we got there, we had instructions on where the lock box was and keys and so forth but the house was not even locked when we got there. Clearly, the cleaning people either left it wide open, or they did not even clean and it was from the last people. I would recommend them sending same day photos or walk through before renting a house from them. Enough said.

The House Negatives:
1. When we arrived we soon discovered a problem with the cleaning. The cleaning crew had only lightly gone over the house, leaving it filthy under the furniture, corners, etc.
2. The towel situation was lacking. No washcloths, few hand towels (there were nine of us,) and only one bath towel per person.
3. The main, large-screen TV was also found not to be working. Unfortunately, it was Academy Awards Sunday, and that’s a yearly tradition for our group of middle-aged women.

The Fixes: Big Bear Vacations was contacted, and they went above and beyond to make it right. Tim and Christina’s response was commendable. They were pleasant, apologetic, and ‘on it’ to make sure the problems were corrected to the best of their ability.
After an original snafu the towel situation was corrected. The house was expertly cleaned the next day. And a tech was sent to address the TV— unfortunately he could never get the TV to work.

The House Positives:
1. It was a great Big Bear location, close to shopping and skiing.
2. The roads were clear and drivable in snowy weather.
3. The property was great for sledding and building snowmen.
4. The home had a lot of space for all nine of us.
5. There was a large dining room table, so we could all sit together for meals, and the dining room table was perfect for games.
6. The nice kitchen was a spacious gathering place as well. It was great for cooking. However, the kitchen didn’t supply much, so be sure to come prepared. We suffered for lack of corkscrew, but somehow we managed to get the wine open-LOL!

Even with the difficulties, we had a wonderful time and would not hesitate to use Big Bear Vacations in the future. Things can fall through the cracks, especially in the busy, snowy, Big Bear winter season. In today’s world, stellar customer service is hard to come by. Again, Christina and Tim at Big Bear Vacations went above and beyond to make things right.

The staff was very nice and accommodating. However the place was not fully functional. The hot tub was not working which is one of the main reasons the specific cabin was chosen. We asked to have it fixed and the guy that came said there was nothing that could be done. We let the front desk know on departure to have someone call us back but no one did to follow up. That really frustrated me and still looking for a discount or reimbursement.
