If you’re plus-sized and considering the Barking Bags treat pouch, save your money and your self-esteem.

I was initially thrilled about trying out Barking Bags after a fellow dog walker recommended them and after seeing their booth at Crufts. However, I was quickly disappointed.

Let’s talk about the elephant in the room – or rather, the lack of room. The pouch itself is fine quality, but the design is a slap in the face to anyone not fitting the ‘average’ size or flaunting themselves on TikTok. The belt couldn’t even come close to wrapping around where I wanted it. And guess what? You can’t adjust it. Their brilliant solution? Cut it. Because apparently, accommodating different body shapes is too much to ask.

And the customer service? It's a joke. No returns on unused bags? Come on. They’d rather make a plus-sized person feel like an inconvenience than bother repackaging something. Oh, but they generously offered a discount on my next purchase. As if I’d ever buy from a company that treats me like I’m too big for their products.

It’s a real shame. I had high hopes for this bag and was eager to recommend it to my fellow dog walkers and owners. Until Barking Bags addresses these issues and makes meaningful improvements to their products and policies, I won’t be purchasing from or recommending them again. So, congratulations, Barking Bags. You managed to make a plus-sized person feel even bigger.

I already owned their walking bag which I love so decided to buy the treat bag too at Crufts. very disappointed with this product. The belt strap was a pain to get on and off due to the clip being too big. I had to use my thinner belt strap from my previous ruffwear treat bag which is not a big deal but I shouldn't have to.

While the size of the bag is big the magnetic closure is simply not enough to keep the treats from falling out when I bend down. the magnetic closure is already hanging loose from the bag after using it 3 or 4 times.

I'm glad I didn't get rid of my ruffwear treat bag as I've given up on using it. While I love the walking bag but the treat bag is a real let down

A nice idea but everything is slightly wrong. The shoulder strap is too short, the water bottle holder only has room for a small bottle (no room for anything for the dog to drink from, except to have a bowl clipped on and dangling...annoying). Treats section folds over, every time I ry to close close the bag the treats slide into the top section and stop it folding over.

Very disappointed in the size of the standard bags for the price. They look much bigger in the photos than they actually are.

So i purchased the original bag in black and I love the bag, I like the size, it’s definitely waterproof and it holds EVERYTHING but I have one issue with it that bugs me every time I wear it. As a dog Walker I’m always bending down picking up poo seeing to dogs etc so if I wear the bag on or across my shoulder it constantly falls forward and gets in my way, I’ve tried wearing it short, long and right up under my arm pit and it’s still in the way. So the only other option is to wear it round my waist. So the strap provided with the bag is no good for this purpose because it loosens as you wear it and you end up with the bag falling down, so I have a belt of my own which is fine. However the clips on the back of the bag designed to hook onto the belt are a bit useless and I often find the bag falls off when I take it off or when I’m adjusting my coat etc. what this product needs is a waisted belt strap to be provided and the bag itself needs re designed so that it’s more like the treat pouch that they sell. That would work better and be more secure.

I have always bought bags on Amazon to hold treats and waste bags and they are poor quality and break.
Barking Bags are clearly specialists in this field. It is obvious they have researched what dog owners need. The results are amazing. The bag is high quality, it is waterproof and has pockets for everything you need. The details such as the zips and tabs that make opening pockets easy to do and it has an adjustable strap.

This is also inexpensive compared to the previous ones I have bought.

The customer service is also fantastic. Its easy to select products from the website, that have clear descriptions and you get updates on your order status etc.

I would suggest you replace ‘reaching out’ with ‘contact us’. It’s yet another annoying Americanism which is more likely to annoy than the correct ‘contact us’.

i have had numerous bags for walking with my dog but this one is just about the best when i read the advert it said pocket for this and pocket for that so i thought i would purchase one and glad i did 10/10

Quality of bag is excellent - being waterproof it is superb with lots of pocket options, made of quality lightweight material and I love the wide strap.
And the speed of delivery was excellent too, exactly as promised.
