Excellent staff to care for our wishes and needs. From room service to food service to excursion assistance, all was excellent!

We chose the Romantic Rhine cruise and were not disappointed! We enjoyed every minute, the ship, the tours, and the food! We are now planning a second cruise for this year.

This was the first time I'd traveled on a "new" ship - The Alegria. Very nice! The "Happy Hour's" were fantastic! Do not think I've ever had better! Great food and service. The only downside to this trip down the DAURO, the ports weren't walkable; lots of busing and couldn't get out at night. BEST tour director ever! Loved the visit to the "wine estate" with Marie. The Sunday in Salamanca, Spain was well worth the two hour travel. Lovely place, would definitely go back there! This was a trip back to Portugal for a longer, more in depth visit. First one was just two days after visiting Spain. The three day stay in Lisbon before the cruise was great. Loved the "flea" market across the street from the Tivoli Hotel. Great little "pop up" restaurant down the street. Good Hop on Hop off bus tour as well. Nice city. The country was very clean and all of the tour guides spoke very good English! Nice trip, recommend. Avalon is the only company I've used for all of my "four" River Cruises! No complaints!

Captain and team were amazing and made us feel right at home. Room was very nice and comfortable. Excursions were amazing with great tour guides. The only thing we experienced that could be improved was the meal selection, especially the dinner menu which needs improvement.

I have traveled with Avalon four times. I have to say I have never even had the smallest complaint on any of my trips. Each trip has been wonderful.
I do hope to travel again with Avalon.
I can’t think of a nicer way to travel. The service, food and comforts are all wonderful.

Very comfortable cruise line. Excellent accommodations and food. Wine expert on board gave informative talks and the wine tastings were very good. Excursions during daily stops were interesting and tour guides were well-informed.

We had 3 great days in Prague pre cruise. However, the trip to Budapest was not great. It took us 11 hours with an unnecessary 2 hour stop in Brno. We arrived at the ship at 7PM! We were exhausted. However, the 15 day cruise was awesome. Tours were excellent. Dinner choices were very heavy, mostly German selections. I would have enjoyed more fish choices. Overall, a great cruise.

If it isn't Avalon. I'm not going, period.

The people. Every staff member we encountered was fantastic.

Our cabin was comfortable and well appointed, food was wonderful and a life threatening allergy was dealt with very well, all staff were friendly, and the excursions were timely and informative. I have already booked another trip with Avalon in May. Very pleased and am recommending to friends and family.

The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. They took care of our needs before we knew we needed something! Meals were delicious and plentiful. Everything was well-organized.

We've sailed on Avalon Waterways twice, our most recent trip sailing on the Seine River, to and from Paris, France (Paris to Normandy) with three nights in London, UK. The trip was excellent from start to finish from the ship's accommodations, to the transfers, excursion options, food and beverages and wonderful staff members who clearly went above and beyond in terms of customer satisfaction. There were no glitches with our sailing (i.e. the river being too low or too high), however we have every confidence that, should something had happened, the Avalon team would handle any changes seamlessly. We'll sail on Avalon again in the future without any reservations!

We were a party of 6. We have all agreed, Avalon made this trip a memorable one. Two weeks total with one week cruising.
From the cleanliness of the ship to the stellar service this was a very satisfying vacation. Avalon took care of everything from our early hotel stay in Budapest to the 6 day cruise to the last 5 days in Munich. I will be traveling with them again and I can think of nothing I would change other than wishing for more time in some ports of call. Well worth the expense as we never wanted for anything - Avalon was guest experience first, always.

This cruise ship was beautiful, the staff knowledgeable, and friendly. Food was excellent as was the service staff. All the stops were lovely and exciting!

Our Egyptoligist/Tour Director was absolutely the best. Ashraf Mansour was our leader, host, protector, and cultural expert. The hotel accommodations were top tier at Marriott and Hilton hotels. The land tours were amazing and exposed us to incredible sights at every visit. The scope, scale, and precision of the structures were jaw-dropping. The Nile Cruise portion on the MS. Farah was wonderful with spacious accommodations, great food, and an incredibly attentive crew. My only complaint was that the trip had to end after only 12 days.

Amazing Cruise! The scenery along the river, and the picturesque towns we visited were magnificent. The service on the ship was fantastic, the food was stellar, and the crew were the best. Our Cruise Director Mihaela was awesome. I highly recommend taking an Avalon river cruise!

We had an exceptional experience on Avalon, as always. The ship was beautiful and well equipped with everything needed. The crew was fantastic, especially our cruise director Tony. He went above and beyond to make the trip an awesome experience. The food might have been the only letdown. It seemed that the chef was trying too hard. Way too many herbs in most dishes.

This was our first time doing a river cruise. In fact, this was a bucket list item to do a Christmas market cruise along the Rhine river. We loved the relaxed atmosphere which started from the day we boarded the boat. Avalon's come on board when you arrive approach made the embarking process so simple with no crowds or waiting. We literally went from the drop off at the dock to our suite in 5 minutes or less. Our luggage was delivered within 1 minute of our arrival at the room. Our suite was very modern and had a great layout that allowed you the option of sitting in the bed and watching the world float by, or we could sit on the couch or chair.

The ship and the common areas were very modern and super clean. The crew was great, the food options were excellent, and overall the cruise was a very pleasant experience for us. One of the key reasons we selected Avalon was the fact their ships have fitness facilities on board and they have a reputation for excellent service overall.

We will certainly do another river cruise in the future with Avalon.
