Very nice people they knew exactly what they were doing

I have been an ATT client for over 20 years. I have never seen such bad service from a company. I've been trying to UPGRADE my service and it has been a hassle. They've cancelled my appointment at home twice without even letting me know why. Every time I ask to speak to a manager or supervisor, no one is available. This problem has been going on since March. Still no positive outcome to my issue. If I could, I'd switch companies in an instant.

I ordered internet service, and had to wait over a week and on top of tjat told i had to pay for a technician, when i opted for self install. Have been an att ustomer for years, very disappointed and i cancelled the order request.

The installation was on time and fast. Installer answered all my questions. He connected some of wireless devices.
I had some operator error after his departure but he left me his phone number. He answered right away and solved my problem.
Great technician/installer.

When I called to set up my service I was offered a package/special of 450 channels with internet at 45mbps and an amazon prime gift card for $116 which the price was good for TWO YEARS with only one of those years supposedly under contract. Also I explained I had to leave for work at 11am so I needed a 9am appointment which is what she told me she set. Some how the install time was 11am which made me late for work but the installed did install the 450 channels and the internet but said nothing about the Amazon Prime. (I did forget to ask the installer about that.)

When I first logged into the system (My AT&T website) it showed a package of 300 channels with the 45mbps internet and no mention of amazon prime for $116. Also it was only good for 12 months.

I then spoke with someone in chat and expressed my concern that the channels were listed wrong and that it wasn't listed for two years as I wanted that two year special price. The representative in chat basically changed my service to the 450 channels and the 45mbps internet for a lower price of $106 and it was only for THREE MONTHS. I did not want a three month package, I wanted the special you guys were running that I was told about for the 2 years. He also mentioned Gift Card which I had to tell him again that I had wanted the Amazon Prime. He said he took care of it but I have my doubts.

So now here I am with a package for only 3 months in which he told me I would have to call back and ask for another promotion, which I told him I did not want to have to call back every 3 months and keep dealing with promotions. It was the whole reason why I signed up for the two year promotion in the first place. I have no idea if I will even get that Amazon Prime membership now. This whole thing has me regretting choosing this over Time Warners service.

When I placed my initial order to start internet service I was very clear with the sales person that I needed a modem. He explained all the options and pricing and said that it would be shipped 2nd day air to me.

5 days later when the box arrives there is no modem. Upon calling sales/technical service they tell me that the order was never placed. The real kicker was that it couldn't be shipped to me for another two days meaning it would be at least another 5 days till I received the modem.

When I asked for expedited shipping or a discount on the modem the manager on duty told me that the situation did NOT warrant any action on their part. He then threatened that all phone calls are recorded and he could prove that I had not order the modem in the first place.

After I asked to speak with his supervisor he transferred me to a different region's sales/tech support department who naturally couldn't pull up my account. When they transferred me back I reached a machine that said "call be during business hours, good bye."

I will never use AT&T for anything ever again. Not a home phone, a cell phone, or internet. The organization is riddled with employees that failed business ethics.

2 of the 3 customer service people I dealt with were very nice and genuine. The third was indifferent/rude. I can't say whether the Internet is good or not but setup has been very difficult. I was stood up for my setup apt. - after calling custome service they had scheduled for a day 4 days after the day I had scheduled (on a day I would be out of town) at a completely random time. After requesting the service be turned on same day they said even though it was their error they wouldn't be able to change the apt. Unfortunately it took threatening to cancel my service altogether in order for them to offer coming earlier in the week. While they eventually did do what I asked I hate that it takes extremes in order for them to care enough to do something small in order to keep a customer happy. Hopefully once it's set up everything will run smoothly. I'm still willing to give the u-verse and att a go.

We have had and enjoyed u-verse for many years. Thought how much trouble could it be to switch to our new home? After 2.5 hrs on the telephone over 2 days and 4 different representatives giving us 4 different monthly costs, we decided to switch to Direct TV. Unfortunately we will still have to deal with AT&at, which I'm very unhappy about but no other choice. You guys really need to fix your custoner service, it's broken!!!

The technician showed up on time, was very polite and answered all of my questions. He was very patient and everything is working great so far! He called in advance when he was on his way and he callled later to follow up on the service. He provided great customer service and so far, don't have any complaints on my service.

Timothy was very nice and completed the install in a timely manner. I didn't at all feel uncomfortable being alone with him. He set up everything, showed me how to work it, went through all the channels, and left contact info!!! Great experience!!!!

I was able to move my appointment to a day earlier in the week and the gentleman who set up the WIFI showed me how to set up my computer and even walked me through making payments online. My experience was positive, everyone I was put in contact with was helpful and professional.

Wifi service met our needs and if faster than expected!

After taking a day off to have service installed and no service. Called tech support only to get nowhere. The guy arrived around 10:45 and left around 8:30. Three other techs and supvs came and numerous phone calls yet still no service. Got the run around about what needs to happen. Inside supposed to be complete and according to the records the outside is supposed to be complete. According to the tech the work to do is on the outside. No one is available during the day as I explained to them. So having that wasted a day no phone no internet. Called alarm company to have method of monitoring upgraded... More money. ... Cancelled ATT service!

the gentleman that came to my house was very professional and courteous I would recommend him to anyone

Overall the service over the phone & on the Internet was just OK, it took way too long, too many questions for ordering a simple cable service and the setup time was switched on me without anyone asking if we would even be home that day.

No one ended up showing up to the installation.
I called MULTIPLE times to contact the company and figure out what was going on (because no one showed up) and I was not helped with at all.
I was transferred two-three times and every time the call would end or they would give me a number that was useless!

Professional and timely installation.
