This looks like a scam, they charged me up front but never showed and then asked for more money

My suggestion is not to use this company to get roadworthy certificate. They confirmed to come do the inspection which later in the afternoon cancelled saying the inspector dont have time when I requested a refund they charged a cancellation fee of $50 despite it was their fault.
The price is higher than the company which I finally got it done from.
So strongly suggest not to use these guys for the road worthy.

I had ASAP Roadworthy do a pre-purchase inspection on a vehicle I was seriously considering buying, and it was one of the worst decisions I've made. They gave the car a glowing review, saying it was in “amazing condition” and ready to go with no major concerns.
Fast forward to just a few hours after purchase, and I discovered the car had multiple serious issues that any competent mechanic should have caught right away. We're talking mechanical problems that could not have developed overnight — issues that were clearly ignored or completely overlooked during their so-called inspection.
I relied on their professional opinion to make an informed purchase, and instead, I ended up with a car that needs thousands of dollars in repairs. Either they rushed the job, didn’t know what they were doing, or worse — just didn’t care.
Avoid this company at all costs if you’re looking for an honest, thorough, and reliable pre-purchase inspection. Their negligence has cost me time, money, and peace of mind. Absolutely unacceptable

If there was an option to rate zero (0) stars i would. This company is a scam, operating under what they supposedely only really do is 'road worthy certificates'which i would imagine wouldn't be hard for them to produce. I sure as hell wouldn't even trust them to do that.
You see, the reason we don't wait for the mechanic for 5-7 business days is most consumers would out of desperation seek this service. ÁSAP, as if there is an issue they present which needs fixing all mechanics will forward a quote and not charge, as no job was done, right?! now i can understand a call out fee, however this company has a script and the method down pat. You book for a day asap and a time. You then pay ahead. They then call you to disapoint you that during the time you signed 'their preposterous and only thing potentially holding them not liable terms and conditions'that they cannot meet your deadline and will be there the following day, only to charge you an extra $55-$60. The gentleman named robin/robyn will turn up, very unprofessional, no grease on face or hands or equipment in vehicle, reminding me worse of a used car salesman of sort as he shakes your hand. The script follows the same as all have said on here, not looking at a thing and saying your compressor is not working, meanwhile did not even inspect it one bit. A quote the following evening over $1,600 , 'THE LOT' basically every part the car airconditioning could ever have. Á Cabin filter'... hang on a second my mechanic replaced this a few weeks ago, why is this included? red flag? the guy never checked this or inspected. Clearly a fraud. I see lots of people on here explaining the same scenario and whilst some may get the roadworthy they are after the certificate...80% sound like they get dupped by which they could have just waited several days for their mechanic to tell them ''its not working' difference is those people wont waste $300.
All victims on here will not forget including myself. When in a postion of power we will all form a force to take this company down the legal and the right way in the justice of the law you shall be named and shamed. DO NOT EVER BOOK THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING.

The inspection itself was done properly, no complaints there. But I was charged twice ($606.31) and spent over two weeks trying to get my money back. My bank confirmed the payment was received by ASAP, but their customer service gave me nothing but excuses, delays, and no follow-ups. Only when I mentioned Fair Trading did they finally escalate it—then I was met with defensiveness and unprofessional behaviour. I’m now filing a formal complaint with Fair Trading and disputing the charge through my bank. Disappointed with how this was handled.

Where do you start, just an absolute horrific and stressful experience apart from the actual examiner

Absolute disgrace. Paid $500 for premium roadworthy they claim will take 2-2.5hrs. Mechanic there for 45 mins. Report rubbish. No diagnostic as claimed. Multiple deep scratches in paint and a tear in seat. All missed in report.
Cannot speak to business as they divert all calls to Philippines and they won’t put you through. I am reporting them to fair trading.

Booked a car roadworthy inspection during a specific 4hr time slot but company did not turn up or ring. Wasted entire morning waiting for them. When we complained, company would only offer a partial refund.

These guys advertise false promises and honestly it is just very unfortunate. The workers are all nice people but the entire booking process just absolutely lacked coherence. Website said they will contact seller within 30min to arrange inspection time, however, it wasn't until 3 hours later when I personally called them that they finally went and called the seller. How could they have missed my booking?? The guy on the phone was nice however he forgot to note down the details after I told him the sellers name, phone and preferred inspection time, so that the next morning some other person from the team contacted me and had to ask for the sellers details again. How could you not see it in the system??? And in the end the inspector was unreachable so now I have to wait another day to get any report from him. On top of that the promised same day full report never came through. Seriously disappointed you guys got to get your stuff together.

The service is useless . Intermittent AC problem not able to be diagnosed or repaired . Told to go to a dealer for proper attention .
Roadside team not equipped to make car diagnostics and charge extra for anything they have to do to fix if problem is obvious .

said i needed a new air compressor and i couldn't get a regas and said my car couldn’t pass roadworthy because a oil leak but the oil is dry not dripping anywhere so it can pass and when i got someone else out to do the roadworthy they passed it and said my air compressor is fine it just needs a regas. NOT happy. $337 for bs lies

Not even 1 star.. These guys are rip off. Made a false diagnosis so they couldn’t gas my aircon. $220 down the drain

Never again. The worst customer service. Before I booked and paid I checked if they were available to complete the inspection before 3pm as I was leaving for an appointment at 3pm. I was advised they would complete the inspection between 10am-2pm. So I paid. At 2pm I phoned and was advised they were running late but would be there by 3pm. At 3pm I phoned again and was advised he would be there at 4.15 pm when I wasn’t home. I had to leave the garage open so he could attend when I was not there. I requested a call when he was there instead he called when he was 30min away. I again requested a call when he was there. Once again didn’t happen I phoned again to find out it didn’t pass but he didn’t phone to tell me why as requested. I also didn’t get an email the office had to sent the paper work with what work was required. It was then an issue to re book and an another charge involved. Stay away from this company unless you want a poor experience

It took 6 minutes to "inspect" my car and deem it unroadworthy. My security cameras show a complete lack of attention to any details or any understanding of an old car. He defected numerous items (suspension, seatbelts, lights - which he didnt even know how to turn on) which has nothing wrong with them and were certified by another mechanic.
I requested images of his claims which he refused to provide. They should be held accountable and show proof of their "defects".
$280 down the drain, plus fees for the mechanic to recheck his work, plus more dees to get another roadworthy.

Wish I had read the reviews first because this place is an absolute joke. They charge triple the TMR fees and deliberately try to fail the vehicle so they can get you to spend more money.
Don't be impatient like me and go to a more reputable inspection agency instead of making a donation to these clowns.

Frauds. Thieves. Numerous issues found on my vehicle soon after pre purchase inspection which the mechanic said would have been there at inspection

EDIT: The issues were external. The mechanic who found these issues found them within 10 minutes. The car was not on a hoist and he did not pull anything apart. He found them as I drove in and parked for my original issue. I have re reached out and not received a reply...

The total cost of repairs required is 5000$ atm without anything being pulled apart at all. All body related. I spent 30k on this car and paid $360 for a pre purchase inspection to avoid all of this. The report was so basic. The owner said asap weren't there long at all. I would have had a more thorough check had I paid for a mobile roadworthy.

Book in for a/c regas. Paid it upfront. Was told by the mechanic it had a leak and to rebook once repaired. Took it to another mechanic and got it sorted. There was no leak. The fine print stated no refund. Not impressed

I had requested my booking be no later than 3pm as I had to get to the Transport Department. The reviewer did not arrive until nearly 4.30 so it was too late for me to go to transfer the vehicle.
However, the inspector (Bjorn), when he arrived was extremely apologetic and very courteous.
He was extremely thorough when assessing my vehicle.

Overcharged by 40%. Charged in advance over the phone and arrived later than booking. Stay clear from them
