Cannot get anyone to answer the phone, ever. No service after the sale!
*** UPDATE*** Since my review, Someone did get back to me and I am hopeful the issue will be resolved. In good faith I am editing review from 1 star to 3 for now.
I cannot get through by calling either of the numbers anytime I call them. I get a message saying I'm second in the queue or first in the queue and my wait time is 1 minute. Literally the four plus times that I've called, I've been on hold 45 minutes each time. That's not service after the sale to me and it's disappointing. I had to hire a plumber because I had a leak and pay him out of pocket. Now I'm trying to get reimbursement, and total radio silent and no call back.

Working with Armadillo Home Warranty…
Working with Armadillo Home Warranty has been awful. I filed a claim for a very simple, basic, running toilet issue and it took three weeks to find a provider.
Recently, I had to file another claim. I received an email that DS3 would be coming out to repair my appliance. After a quick Google search I saw horrible reviews and emailed Armdillo back that I did not want this provider coming out to service my appliance. I received a follow-up email saying this would delay my repair. I responded that I did not care about the delay. I just wanted to a reputable company to come out and fix my appliance. I never heard back from Armadillo. Instead, D3S left a voicemail saying they would be out the next day. I promptly called the return phone number which was an automated system and canceled the appointment. Unfortunately, the next day the tech showed up for the repair however, I did not let him in due to the companies awful reviews.
I have tried to call Armadillo several times, at different times of the day and it says I am either the first or second person in the queue and the wait time is one minute or four minutes. That is not the case. I have literally sat on hold over 20 minutes for a message to come on telling me, everyone is busy and to please leave a message. The only person I’ve ever spoken to there is Doreen and I’m beginning to think she’s the only customer service rep they have answering the phone. Corporate please reach out to me to resolve this or let me cancel my policy as this is ridiculous!!

I'm a new customer
I'm a new customer. I have had some problems since December trying to set up my account. The monthly amount has already been deducted from my pension statement. I am cancelling this service as I have yet to hear back from Armadillo on setting up my account. This is an indication of their response when we do have an emergency. I am passing.

They came through under extraordinary circumstances
I recently bought a century-old house in great shape. The appliances were aging but the inspection report showed they were all in good working order. Unfortunately, almost immediately after I moved in I noticed an issue with the HVAC system, so I called Armadillo, who sent over a technician. The technician identified several more serious issues on top of the one I reported. It took a while to resolve this (in part due to the service provider, I think) but when the weather got cold for about a week, Armadillo paid for me to procure some space heaters. They eventually replaced most of the internals of the furnace unit, as well as install a brand new thermostat, and the system is working perfectly now.
As the infomercials go, "But wait, there's more!"
While the HVAC issue was being worked out, our dishwasher, which we had used only once, gave out. Within a few days they sent me a Venmo payment to cover the purchase of a brand new one. We did have to pay for installation (by the store) but that's not Armadillo's responsibility.
But that's not all! Apparently I had done something to upset the appliance gods, because one day after getting the new dishwasher installed, the fan went out in the refrigerator. Armadillo will either choose a service provider for you or let you pick your own, so we decided to call the guy who initially looked at our dishwasher, since he seemed to know what he was doing. He was able to fix the problem on the spot (it helped that we lived only a mile from an appliance parts store), and Armadillo paid for the repair.
As with all home warranty companies, it sometimes takes a little time and follow-up to get things resolved, but I always managed to get hold of someone who was able to push the process along.
I highly recommend that anyone purchasing a home get a home warranty immediately upon closing. But if you're wondering which one you should go with, Armadillo is a great choice.

I HAVE HAD OTHER HM WARRANTIES BUT THIS HAS FEATURES THE OTHERS DO NOT. NO ANNUAL LOCK ON WARRANTY SERVICE. USE YOUR OWN CONTRACTORS WE HAVE TRUSTED FOR YEARS.

So far so good!
I took a chance on Armadillo as it seemed like a modern HW provider that actually did the right thing for homeowners - and they have thus far delivered! My heating just "tried" to kick in and no dice. I did everything on Armadillo's mobile claims submissions site, they let me use my own HVAC guy, and reimbursed me right away. Thanks!

Armadillo Let Me Down First Claim
I wrote a review almost a year ago, about how the CEO reached out and assured me that Armadillo was not like the rest of the Home Warranty companies out there. I gave a 5 star review because of this. 5 days ago, I submitted my first claim to have my dryer repaired. Days went by and no one contacted me. My claim just sat on the portal as pending. I reached out to CS yesterday and they jumped on it, however I waited several days and had to nudge them to get on my service appointment. Had I not reached out, I'm sure my claim would still be pending. It will be 8 days since my claim was filed before I get service on my appliance. I have a new puppy who is having accidents. I need my dryer as the weather here is cold and cloudy and nothing will not dry outside. I ended up just buying a new one, considering mine is over 10 years old and Armadillo is taking way to long to send someone out here. I also feel that my $200 deductible can go towards a new dryer. Who knows how long I'll have to wait next time? Very disappointed in Armadillo. A bunch of empty promises.

Our experience with Doreen was seamless after I called her she went to work took care of everything, I mean everything we didn’t have to do anything. I was wondering how or when to pay the deductible and it had already processed thru our bank. Lol 😆 The work was done well and timely.

I have never used a home warranty company in the past. I wasn't sure if it was a good idea. As a landlord, I would say Armadillo has exceeded my expectations. Mario has been super awesome. Very responsive and knowledgeable. Thank you guys!
