Great experience
The consultations have been great and the medicine prescribed has been high quality, haven't had any issues sleeping because of my pain level. May have to ask for a day strain as I would struggle to work with the stuff I currently have.

Longer wait times than expected
They said it would be a 3-4 day wait for MDT meeting but it was actually 9 working days before I heard back. They then sent me a message to say my prescription would be sorted that same day if I provide my discharge letter from my previous clinic. I provided the clinic letter but am yet to hear back about the prescription. That was nearly 5 days ago now.
I do understand that things take time, but if you’re going to give time scales then make them realistic. When you’re living in pain everyday, it’s quite important I think to be transparent.
However, the actual process has been fine the whole way through and the nurse and consultant I spoke to were both friendly and informative.

⭐⭐ Great doctors, but let down by poor communication and delays

My experience with Alternaleaf has been very disappointing overall.
I have to say that the initial consultation with the nurse and doctor was excellent. Both were lovely, professional and helpful, and the appointment process was quick and straightforward. Unfortunately, everything after that has been a completely different experience.
I am transferring from another clinic and am now 21 days on from my doctor’s consultation. Despite being accepted as a patient and approved for a prescription, I am still waiting to hear from the pharmacy and have not yet received my first medication.
Communication has been extremely poor throughout. I’ve had to repeatedly chase for updates, send emails and contact support just to find out what is happening. At times, I’ve been given very little information and left feeling that nobody was taking responsibility for progressing my application.
What makes matters worse is that I’ve now received a notification through my patient portal telling me it’s time to book a follow-up appointment to discuss how my treatment is going. I haven’t even received my first prescription yet, let alone started treatment!
It’s a shame because the nurse and doctor were genuinely excellent, and the initial experience gave me confidence in the clinic. However, the administrative and pharmacy side has really let them down.
A good consultation is only part of the service. Patients also need clear communication, efficient prescription processing and a reasonable level of support afterwards.
