Great customer service when things went south!
We hired an Hertz SUV for all of April 2026 in London booked through Airport Rentals (AR) in Australia. It wasn’t a great start as we were charged additional fees for breakdown assistance and additional driver, both of which had been advertised as free additions by AR. But alls well that ends well. Customer service with AR was very good. They responded quickly, and while it took a bit of backwards and forwards, eventually all additional fees were reimbursed. All communications were professional, courteous and resolution focused. I’m sure there are other stories out there that are the opposite of what we experienced, but on this occasion I was impressed with AR going the extra mile to resolve this issue in our favour. Special mention to Aaron and Amy Rosse at AR - great customer service and focus!

Online booking was easy
Online booking was easy. Staff replied to emails efficiently. Link to find pick up point was brilliant. Extending hire period was easy.
Shuttle drive to airport was great other than small issue in that the driver couldn’t pick up my luggage and load it in the van. OH&S. he was a nice guy but his delivery was terrible. I get OH&S but there needs to be an alternate option when lifting to a high shelf in the back of the vehicle. I’m 65 and have rheumatoid arthritis. The driver offered no solution. Just kept making the statement.

We had full control of what we were looking at and were not delayed at any point with questions and "customer service support." The insurance for the vehicle's could be mentioned a little earlier in the process, however it is not a major problem...

Overcharged
I am writing to formally raise a complaint about a very poor experience I have had with Budget Car rental;
I was initially overcharged $2400 on my rental , and although I was informed that a refund would be processed, I have instead been charged again. This situation is extremely concerning and has caused significant frustration.
At this point, the repeated incorrect transactions have led me to question whether my card details or Budget Car rental payment system may have been compromised. This is not something I take lightly, and I expect this matter to be treated with urgency.
I have been communicating with the manager Amanda V. However, she hasn't been able to clarify this issue yet
I request an immediate investigation into these transactions, a full refund of any incorrect charges, and a clear explanation of how this occurred.
Please also confirm what steps are being taken to ensure the security of my payment information.
I look forward to your urgent response and resolution.
