Ailsa Black trained at Gray's School of Art in Aberdeen where she studied Graphic Design and Illustration. Today she works from a seaside studio in the tiny Scottish village of Carsethorn in Dumfries and Galloway. From her studio she observes and captures the daily comings and goings of village life. Today her art appears in galleries and on an extensive and growing range of gift ware available both in the UK and abroad. Ailsa has exhibited at the Royal Glasgow Institute and Paisley Art Institute. In 2017 she was listed as one of 25 top UK influential art brands to watch by a panel of over 200 retailers and business people by Licensing Biz. In 2018 her RSPB Year Planner was voted Best Charity Calendar in the UK Calendar Awards.

Thrilled with my purchases
The service was great from start to finish. I am absolutely thrilled with the calendar - a Christmas present for a friend who really likes Ailsa's work. And the hare tea towel will definitely put a smile on another friend's face - she loves hares and you can't possible not like the picture of this one!
A lovely touch receiving a hand written Christmas card in the package.

Beautiful calendar and cards.
I buy Ailsa's calendar every year, it never disappoints. It's always a pleasure to turn the page to a new month and find out what the picture is. So handy for notes and appointments. I also bought some cards and xmas cards this year, an assortment of different pictures and I love them all. Just hard to pick one to send to people! Again, there were a couple of extra cards in the package free as a wee pressie for me :))) Easy ordering on the website and delivered within a few days.

The website is very straightforward to use. Service/ delivery very quick…pictures well packaged (along with thank you cards and free card bonus). Highly recommend the site…LOVE the signed prints. Purchased prints on 15th and 20th August…I liked the first one so much!
