I had the pleasure of being looked after by Storm and her team Emily and Anna. I found them to be exceptional, the challenge we faced to complete in 6 weeks before the stamp duty increase was made to look easy when the reality it was far from it. It was the hard work and commitment to do their best for their client that made this happen.

Issues with restrictions imposed by management companies and their poor communication and overall lack of engagement was negated by Storm through her knowledge and experience and clever use of her professional network in the industry.

Very simply put if it wasn’t for her impressive skill set as a lawyer this deal would not have happened so quickly and cost me thousands as a result.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend AFG Law and Storm particularly she is personable, professional, creates solutions to problems by thinking outside of the box and is patient in explaining the technical legal elements of the conveyancing process.

Avoid at all costs!!!! Nearly £600 for sending a court letter late and a consultation, no communication what so ever, it’s like getting blood out of a stone trying to speak to someone, you get put through to answer machines that know one rings you back. Still awaiting a refund which court sent over to AFG and I still haven’t received it, when I do get a reply it’s with an excuse of they have been on annual leave!
Iv been waiting for the £600 refund from court for nearly 2 month which is not even money paid to them. They have done nothing for the money they have had, which I have no problem with them keeping.
For my refund from the court they have asked me for bank statements to authorise this for some reason and then has to be signed off by the “director”.
When contacting my solicitor directly about the issue, he just tells me not to contact him as I will just get charged for this.
Absolutely no help at all, if anything they make situations worse and take your money no problems.
Unfortunately I have had to take this further.

I just want to say that Rebecca Mannion, Rebecca Coles and Billy Makin did a great job in representing us on the sale of our old home and the purchase of our new home. As a client, you don't always realize how hard your conveyancing team are working behind the scenes on your behalf but I can say with certainty they really fight your corner and it was a pleasure dealing with each of them. They were friendly, professional, communicated well and I will be recommending them to anyone I know who needs a conveyancing team they can trust.

We engaged AFG Law (specifically Abigail and Greg) for conveyancing services and found the service to be pretty average, seemingly standard among conveyancing solicitors.

What truly left a sour taste, however, was their overall communication and tone when dealing with us, their clients. For a company that relies on client revenue (and keeping those clients for future legal requests) I'd have expected a stronger focus on building a positive client relationship, which can be easily achieved through respectful and courteous communication.

Some of the interactions were rude, dismissive, and outright patronising. One email in particular stands out that we received from Greg, managing director, which was not only rude but also added unnecessary stress to an already challenging situation. I'd also question whether he would have sent the same email to a male client.

We would not recommend using AFG Law for conveyancing.

Made an appointment to meet with solicitor in their offices in Cheadle - waited and waited but were then told he had mistakenly thought our meeting was in Bolton, then told to wait until he came over to meet us. After 40 minutes further, were told he had gone to Bury by mistake! - walked away because if they cant get these things right, I would not trust them with a complicated legal situation?

Highly recommended AFG. Rebecca Mannion, Rebecca Coles and Billy Makin worked very hard at my parents Sale and Purchase. They communicated with us really well throughout the process and we felt they were working in our best interests at all times.

I have just sold my first house with AFG Law and Billy was the solicitor responsible for my sale. I couldn’t recommend Billy more, he was there with help and advice every step of the way. Five star service.

I highly recommend Becky Mannion, Bec Coles, and Billy Makin. They made the home-buying process incredibly smooth and efficient, with no lengthy delays. I would definitely choose their services again in the future.

If you want anything done in an efficient & timely manner…these cowboys are not the ones to use. Go elsewhere! Still waiting for a simple transaction that should have taken a few weeks to be finally completed 5+ months later. Completely incompetent & couldn’t do anything with any haste if their lives depended on it. Avoid at all costs!!

I can't reply to the response from AFG Law, but it is definitely the correct company...we had the displeasure of dealing with Greg & Abigail. If we'd actually been the customer paying them...we'd have fired them, unfortunately we were on the receiving end of their lack of care.

This firm data breach after being involved in a dispute. I have complained to the SRA about this organisation data breaching. Very poor on GDPR regulations!

There is total exemplar professionalism across the whole of Bolton's AFG team with the standouts being Rebecca and Billy...thank you so much for making the sale of our property as smooth and stress free as possible.
