Highly recommend A&E leisure
I wanted to share our experience with Joe at A&E Leisure, as his customer service was genuinely outstanding.
We purchased a Camp Tech awning through A&E Leisure, but unfortunately it ripped after the very first use due to a fault with the awning poles. Camp Tech refused to accept any responsibility, which was incredibly frustrating.
However, Joe at A&E Leisure stepped in and completely turned the situation around. Despite the issue being with the manufacturer, and while he was still in the process of disputing it with Camp Tech, Joe handled everything professionally and efficiently. Most importantly, he ensured we weren’t left out of pocket and arranged a full refund for us.
It’s rare to come across this level of customer care, especially when the fault lies with a third party. Joe went above and beyond to support us, and we’re very grateful for his help.
Highly recommend A&E Leisure based on this experience alone.

Waiting for a delivery that never came................
I ordered an inflatable mattress from A & E on the 27th March 2026. The mattress wasn't cheap but I thought it was exactly what I wanted. There was a slight delay in the mattress being shipped out but about a week later, I believe, the mattress left the supplier and was picked up by Fed Ex. Fed Ex let me know when they were going to deliver, but the package never arrived. I contacted them, and asked them to deliver to a local pick up point, and that got refused too. So I changed the delivery back to my address and waited. In total I waited in for 4 days for the mattress to arrive over a period of 2 weeks. I eventually contacted A & E (a rather apt name I believe) and asked them what was going on. The customer adviser I spoke to said that she would get the mattress sent out that day to me. However, it wasn't. I e-mailed the adviser and she apologised and said she would get it sent out the next day. The day before we were going camping. It didn't arrive. So, I notified A & E again requesting a refund, and they refused stating that as the mattress had left their warehouse / facility they couldn't refund me. I then went through my credit card and asked for a refund as they package had never arrived and I wanted to use the funds to buy a mattress elsewhere. I then get a rather arsey e-mail from somebody at A & E almost threatening me because I asked for a bank refund and almost insinuating that it was my fault as A & E have a Trust Pilot rating of 4.9 apparantly. I explained it was my only way of getting my money back for an item that I had never recieved and I don't know if it had even been attempted to be delivered. And to this date A & E are disputing my refund! I had to buy another mattress elsewhere, and we missed our original camping trip and lost money accordingly. Also, I wasted 5 days waiting in for a delivery and spent loads of time trying to contact them and Fed Ex regarding this. In my view, I wouldn't use A & E if I were you. This is my own experience and I would have given them no stars if I could.

I would like to provide some clarity on it for other customers, certainly because you are alarming them not to purchase from us.
After investigating this issue, I would like to provide a chain of events below:
- Your order was placed on a Friday 27/03/2026.
- There was a shipment ETA provided of 5-7 business days.
- Your order was shipped from us on Tuesday 07/04/2026
I will now provide the event logs of the shipment once it had left our warehouse via the FedEx tracking system:
- 12:54 AM Wednesday 08/04/2026 - "Package on the way"
- 1:45 PM Wednesday 08/04/2026 - "Delivery option requested
Hold request received – Check back later for shipment status"
- 3:39 AM Thursday 09/04/2026 - "At local FedEx facility"
- 10:23 AM Thursday 09/04/2026 - "Delivery exception - Delivery was refused by the recipient"
The package was then left dormant with FedEx waiting for you to collect the item for a week.
- 9:33 AM Saturday 18/04/2026 - "Returning package to shipper
Return tracking number 870809381856"
You then reached out to us out of hours at 6.28 on Friday 17/04/2026 requesting cancellation.
It was not shared to us that you had already opened a section 75 against the order before we even had the opportunity to respond to the cancellation and refund request.
I have reviewed the email that you have labelled "arsey" and "threatening" and can't agree with this. I would also like to point out that in your email prior to the response in question, you confirmed that you were going to leave a review on our Trust Pilot.
The response advised that we couldn't provide a refund to you until the goods had actually been returned to us after your shipment rejection but once the goods arrived back, you would be provided with a refund - a reasonable stance.
There was no threat due to you asking your bank for a refund, simply confusion because you had already raised the Section 75 without even giving us the opportunity to respond to the cancellation and refund request that was reported out of hours.
With regards to them referencing the 4.9 Trust Pilot rating, they were not insinuating that this was your fault due to our Trust Pilot rating, that is disingenuous. They were simply advising that they would provide the necessary information to respond to the review that you had already confirmed you would be leaving, in order to give a clear picture of events to customers. They simply made reference to the 4.9 Trust Pilot rating to counter your assessment of our service as a company and advised that if it was as poor as you described it to be, it would be reflected in the rating.
I would like to respond directly to your claim that the only way you would get your money back was through a section 75. This is simply untrue. It was clearly confirmed in writing that once the item returned to us, that you would receive a refund. Again, for clarity on this issue, the item returned to us, only yesterday. We are unable to process a refund due to the Section 75 that you raised - we are blocked from doing so.
I have responded to your customer support ticket with evidence that the shipment has returned back to us and also that we are unable to process the refund due to the Section 75 that you raised.
Finally, had the shipment been left to be delivered to your address, I imagine this would have arrived with you without issue. This is not bias opinion but there are multiple reviews from other customers, reviewing specifically the delivery service we offer as a company.
I would like to clarify that the shipment was diverted from its original and intended address by yourself.
I appreciate that this is quite a lengthy response but I had to ensure that complete transparency was provided to anybody reading and saw it essential to refute your claims regarding events.

Best prices for the 2 chairs I ordered and they were delivered in 2 days. A and E Leisure know me as the Elddis water probe man because they did not stop trying to resolve the probe issue until it was resolved.
