I am truly sorry to hear about the strain these charges have caused, and I completely understand your frustration.
Because Acorns Early is a subscription-based service, a monthly fee is charged to maintain the specialized parental controls, chore tracking, and financial learning features on the account. These membership fees are automatically deducted each month from your stored payment method until the account is fully closed.
Using the details provided, I located an account and attempted to call you directly to help resolve this, but I was unable to reach you. I have just sent a detailed follow-up email to your registered email address with more information and options to assist you.

The experience and interface could be better
The interface could be better. It should give real banking and financial management tools like wealthfront or an advanced online banking platform to get them ready for the future. It offers no crypto exposure and by the time they're adults it will be mainstream and they will have missed the opportunity. I'm trying to figure out how to just give my kids my coinbase account so they can learn to invest and lose money and learn everything they're supposed to about management and risk by the time they're an adult, how can they do that in acorns mow my lawn for $10 like it's 1950.. It's supposed to pay their allowance on Wednesday but for some reason your app skips that and then wants to process it on Saturday. Lots of people on Reddit complain about these silly issues as well. The normal acorns platform is just as bad. It gives you 12 stocks to invest in and almost no crypto. You guys are going the way of the dinosaurs 100%.

Regarding investment accounts we offer the Acorns Early Invest. You can find out more by following this link https://www.acorns.com/early-invest/ Additionally for exposure to crypto and learning more about Money, the history of money and Investing in Crypto we have a section in the app called money missions, which are lessons on how to manage your finances.
You can find the Investing in Crypto lesson on the Level 2 money missions in the Investing Basics folder. To locate the money missions please follow the steps below in the child app.

3. Scroll through our money missions and tap on the mission topic you would like to complete

Watch your bank account if you cancel!
I tried out Acorns Early / GoHenry. After creating the sub account, I got completely locked out of it. I attempted to resolve with support to no avail. I could access the parent account, but could not access the Go Henry side. For other reasons, I made the decision to cancel everything, delete my banking information, deactivate all accounts. I received the confirmation email that GoHenry/Acorns Early was in the "cancellation process" and I received all the funds returned to my bank account from the parent account. They didn't actually cancel my account, but it was deactivated. Continued to debit $5/mth every month post cancellation from my bank account even though my bank details had previously been deleted and my account deactivated.

3 buisness days to load funds
It takes too long (3 buisness days) to transfer money into my account so I can fund my kids. If you haven't got your wallet loaded when the kids need / earn some cash, it's already too late.

If you'd like to make faster payments into the Acorns Early account, I advise using a debit/credit card in your name instead!
You can add a new payment card via the app:
1. Log in to your Acorns Early account on the app
2. Tap ‘Account’ at the bottom of your screen
3. Tap the ‘Payment Methods’ option
4. Tap ‘Debit or credit card’
Please note that the details of the card you wish to load the account with must match what is registered on the Acorns Early account. We accept most debit/credit cards linked to mainland US brick-and-mortar banks!

Its a great app for kids to learn how to manage money,use a debit card and how to save their money. My kids love using their own debit cards and it keeps them from spending too much on my debit card... lol. With my kids if its their own money they know they have to budget and cant just spend whatever they want. Its worth the $10 monthly fee.

Everything is great! Only critique I have is being able to add funds quickly is difficult. The auto fund is great for maintenance but if I want to add funds to be available immediately it’s not a user friendly process to figure out and do
