Added Solar Panels Installation by Zest
The salesperson was pretty clear on most points as far as I recall. Chris and his colleague worked well in difficult weather conditions and worked late in the dark to finish. One negative.The Salesperson maybe did not know or realise that my tiles are a bit fragile. Luckily for the fitters and the contract I had recently bought a number of tiles which are very hard to obtain as no longer made.That could have been a problem!!!!!!!!!! Also I had to bear the cost!!!Archie in the office was very helpful in guiding me in how to set up the arrangement with SSE and Octopus. As I was already with Octopus that part was easy and then I had to contact Puredrive to check that the set up for the Export tariff was correct.

Problem solved
Had a quote from Zest to fit a battery as back up to my solar panels. It was before Christmas and I paid the deposit and after thinking about it changed my mind the next day and phoned and emailed my change of mind to Zest. It was Christmas and it was the New Year before I contacted Zest chasing my refund. Due to holidays etc it was delayed but I would like to thank Archie for being there to listen to me and keep me informed and get my refund processed. It took a few weeks but it was eventually sorted. Thanks Archie for being patient with a grumpy pensioner.

The work was done quick and clean.
Everybody is very helpful, and the customer doesn't have to worry if there are still questions later on.

Zest is almost impossible to contact. There was no follow up, including, and most importantly, paperwork, following the installation. We haven’t even received acknowledgement of our payment.

Thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry that you feel frustrated.
For clarity, your GivEnergy battery installation was completed on 8 January. We allow up to 10 working days to issue the full handover pack, and we are currently on the third working day following installation.
We also spoke with you at 4pm yesterday regarding the Wi-Fi connection to the battery, which was required to complete system setup. I understand this has now been boosted, and we will proceed accordingly.
We remain in contact and will ensure the remaining documentation is issued within the agreed timeframe.

Buyers remorse
I have extreme buyers remorse after paying nearly £6,000 for a 4.5kWh battery to replace an old one that wasn't working properly, which I will never recover in reduced electricity costs. Sales technique is to close the deal without time to evaluate the information given. My own stupidity.
Having said that the installation went smoothly and the guy who installed it was very helpful.

Our aim is always to be clear and transparent about how a system is intended to work and what outcomes can reasonably be expected, and we regret if this wasn’t fully clear at the time. Battery systems are designed to help reduce peak electricity usage and increase the value of solar generation when matched with the right tariff and usage pattern, and results will naturally vary between households.

I apologise for the brief confusion on-site — our installers contacted the office to confirm the exact scope of the remedial work, as storm-damage corrections can vary and we wanted to ensure everything was completed exactly as required.
In terms of timescales, we have had a high volume of remedial requests recently, but I appreciate your patience while we arranged your visit.

CONSTANT PESTERING PESTS WHO DO NOT LISTEN
I was receiving calls from a mobile number I didn't recognise, when I answered they would instantly hang up, I would call back to be put on to an answer machine from Zest Energy, this went on for weeks, I would estimate at least 25-30 times I was called, each time when answered I was cut off. I blocked the number & they started dialling on a different number, finally when I answered & someone was on the other side I explained to the guy I was not interested in dealing with a company that treats customers like that, I explained clearly for him to take me off their call list & never to call again or I would go on trust pilot & leave a terrible review warning others, he took some offence to this thinking I was threatening but I was polite & clear, do not call me again! so less than 1 week later another call from Zest, "I believe you were speaking to my colleague & you are looking to book in an appointment for a survey for solar panels" so this is the review! DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY, THEY DO NOT LISTEN TO A WORD YOU SAY

To clarify, we do make outbound calls from mobile numbers, and if a call isn’t answered our dialler system will automatically retry. However, once someone answers and says they are not interested, the system is designed to stop calling that number for at least 90 days.
It is possible for duplicate entries to exist within data supplied by external lead providers, which can occasionally result in additional calls being made even after a number has been marked correctly. This is not intentional, and we apologise if that has occurred here.
We would really like the opportunity to investigate this properly, remove your details from all data sources, and make sure there is no further contact.

Your recent order was placed on 14 October, and our installers attended as arranged. The payment terms were clearly outlined in the purchase contract, which you accepted — with payment milestones based on deposit, delivery of goods, and final payment upon commissioning.
Unfortunately, we’re unable to deviate from those agreed terms once installation is underway.
We’re confident you’ll see the benefit of your new system once you’ve had a chance to use it, and we remain available if you’d like to discuss any aspect of your installation or payment plan directly.
