Being new to the world of UX, I wanted to find out more and this workshop was a great way to get an insight into the process. Everything was explained clearly, thoroughly and concisely working in small teams also helped. Great job!

Excellent task based overview of all stages in UX process. Clear, simple and engaging. Constructive advice for portfolio building. Relaxed atmosphere and welcoming to all ages and background.

Being new to the world of UX Shaun and Michael really helped explain the entire UX lifecycle through in-depth presentations and workshop tasks. If you want to get into UX and UI these are the guys to speak too.

Following up a previous UI/UX workshop, I wanted to find out a bit more about the UX side and this workshop was a fantastic way to do so. Split into teams to work through a process to define our user and the problems they might find before coming up with an appropriate solution. Shaun explained everything thoroughly and concisely and gave really helpful advice.

Another insightful presentation with a great opportunity to work through the principles in a workshop format. Highly recommended to anyone with an interest or desire to get into UX or UI.

I would definitely recommend this workshop its good as a insight to UX or a UX recap. Shaun made it very engaging and interesting. Even though I already had knowledge about UX it was a great reminder and practice of the process.

The practical element was fun where we had the chance to work on a real life problem in groups. We even had the opportunity to talk and network with a recruiter which was really good.

All the advice and tips given about how to get into UX where really helpful!

Nice UI/UX workshop - So much information explained in a simple manner with a step by step action plan which makes it very useful for people like me with not much UI / UX experience.

I confess I didn't know what to expect from the workshop when I heard it was free. Upon arrival in the room, I was introduced to James, Jennifer and Michael. They offered some snacks and drinks. Everyone was very friendly from the moment I step foot in the building. The place is cosy and elegant.
Michael was very professional, but also casual which made everyone feel relaxed. He talked about his professional experience and gave us some insight about the market. He told us what software to use, the steps to create UI projects in the software, how to build a portfolio and job interview which it was reviewed by James and Jennifer both recruiters from Ecom.
I would 100% recommend this workshop. I knew few things about the industry and the field, but I went home with a lot of knowledge. There were many things that I didn't know.

It was a great evening where you could've learned a lot about the basics of becoming/being a designer. Not to miss if you're just starting!

Michael was succinct, funny, extremely generous with his advice and most important - genuine. So grateful for the opportunity to attend this workshop and definitely inspired to take UI to the next level! Thank you Michael.

A comprehensive step-by-step introduction to becoming a UI designer. If you don't have the time or money to spend on a long course, this will teach you everything you need to know in two hours. The rest is practise.

Also good for myself, a copywriter looking to better understand and collaborate with design colleagues.

I thought this was an incredibly useful introduction to UI and UX design, I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere to start. Michael has a candid way of explaining everything that is just very realistic which I think is important to help manage expectations going into a new discipline.
The talk covers all the basics. Design processes, exercises to help you get running, like design iteration workflows with some general advice about work/life that really added value.

It all felt like an open forum, where any questions could be asked and advice freely given that was really supplemented by the attending recruiters.

Went with little understanding of UI/UX and left with the tools and the training plan needed to launch a career, through Michaels honest and thorough guidance

Entertaining and informative evening. Thank you - I learned a lot about avenues into the worlds of UX/UI, and am (as an older developer) enthused and excited to embark on a new journey. Thanks again.
