Hmm.

They don't take sellers seriously. And their faulty systems make sellers come across as "scammers" even though theres confusion from the app from both buyers and sellers which Yaga doesn't bother to intervene with when contacted on multiple occasions. Rather sell on a different platform.
Poor customer service - Update your website
It's ridiculous that they don't update their website to have bundling enabled automatically from one seller. Where you don't have to try figure out how to bundle multiple things by yourself as a first time buyer. You message the seller, they say they think it works out like this... You try it that way and suprise surprise there's a glitch on Yaga's website you get charged for delivery twice. You send a message to support they respond with a list of more complicated than it's worth steps that the seller needs to do. It's not that hard to update your system.
YAGA is great!
Wow, Yaga is amazing but there's a seller on there that's extremely unprofessional and hateful. I very politely asked @shireenm-2 if I can buy an item separately as there were 2 on display. She responds with "Yes sure". Only for me to realise afterwards that she was being sarcastic and had no intention of doing as she'd promised. Professional sellers know it's their responsibility to be transparent about their items so if she didn't want to separate the two, she could've told me and I would've bought both. Simple as that. Wow. People are really on here wasting each other's time like that???
Do yourselves a favour and please avoid @shireenm-2 aka Penchi. I've never had such a horrid experience before as the other sellers are really awesome and professional which is all I ask for.
The sh*t storm that is YAGA
I want to take a minute to write about my years of experience with Yaga. I was so chuffed to get on the Yaga train early on when they began, I think it was either in 2020 or 2021 (I remember learning about and using the app around Covid). Over time, my initial excitement has completely dwindled to the point of literally HATING their business model today. It all started when they began introducing "fees" for using their platform..this was not the case at all when they first started up, no extra hidden fee was charged, it was literally just a transaction including the price of the item and the courier fee.
They introduced the seller fee's first..charging the seller a percentage of every sale, that didn't last long, as i'm sure you can imagine it's because they came to their senses about potentially turning away sellers, who are essentially the back-bone of their platform. Fast-forward to where we are now with the "buyer protection fee" - excuse is that it's for their support team (which I must mention, was always there from the beginning, except you didn't have to pay for it) and the cringey "we are still the cheapest online shopping platform" tag line- which is a pretty bold statement because that would depend entirely on what the seller would be charging right?! Also, no other online shop expects you to pay a "buyer protection fee" when shopping online.
Anyyywaaays...cut to..it doesn't make sense that only the buyer should foot the bill for this service, doesn't the service go both ways? Surely it should be split down the middle and both seller and buyer should be responsible for the required "fee"..if they MUST charge it?
This is just one gripe. What has actually been the catalyst for this review, the straw that broke the camel's back, if you will, is the amount of times that I have purchased something from a seller and then without warning or a f**king courtesy message, they just cancel it...no reason, just cancel and ghost...WTF is that?
Imagine my excitement of treating myself to a little something (overlooking the extra fee, mind you!) only to have some flaky seller decide actually nah..I want more money now...BRUH..are you for real? Where is the accountability?
And it's not like you get the money you have just spent back in your account..no! You have to go into your yaga wallet, release the funds and wait 3-5 business days before you get it back!! HAIBO!!
And please don't even get me started on the scammers!!!
I'm clearly popping off here..and I know it...but maybe, just maybe, the Yaga team sees this review, and thinks long and hard about how to improve their model and customer satisfaction.
Peace.

I'm a seller on yaga
I'm a seller on yaga, There is an issue i encountered whereby a buyer bought an item from my shop within 10 days of advertising. When the buyer received the item 48 hours later they claimed that the quality of the item is not in good condition, whereas yaga has a policy for returns that states that the buyer is able to return the item to the seller if the item received doesn't match with the advert. In this case the item is exactly the same as shown on the advertisement as per photo. They buyer claims that the quality is not the same, I asked Yaga to investigate into this matter because I've sold many items on yaga and never had such issues. Yaga did not bother to dig deep finds the root cause of this matter, they elect one party which is in this case the buyer because I believe that they make money through the buyer and no money through the seller. Forgetting that if the seller is absent there will be no business. I'm very frustrated and pissed because i can guarantee all sellers that Yaga isn't responsible for their safety, they will always protect the buyer without following protocol and the policy that they put in place.
Protects scammers/fraudulent sellers
I recently purchased an item on Yaga that was listed as “Like New”, but it arrived in a terrible damaged state.
While Yaga’s Buyer Protection promises protection when an item is not as described, I was disappointed to learn that I would still be expected to cover the return shipping costs, despite the issue arising from the inaccurate listing.
The most frustrating part has been the lack of support and communication throughout the process. As a buyer who paid a Buyer Protection Fee, I expected a smoother resolution when receiving an item that was materially different from its description. They seem to side with the fraudulent seller instead of protecting buyers
I would encourage buyers to carefully review Yaga’s return policy and understand that even where an item is found to be not as described, additional costs may still fall on the buyer.
Yaga protects scammers !!!!!
Yaga protects scammers !!!!!
I was sold a faulty item and when speaking to the buyer
She helped me fix it with a few solutions however those solutions only worked for a short while and when wanting to send the item back,Yaga instructed her that she should not accept the item back .I now have the faulty item that was perceived to be not faulty and no refund .Complete scam how you can back buyers like that and not receive a refund .Absolutely disgusted
Had a great experience with Yaga
Had a great experience with Yaga, purchased books and it arrived safely and well packaged - the courier was a bit slow, but nothing major.
They favour influencers and popular…
They favour influencers and popular accounts. Some accounts are selected as editor's choice on weekly basis. One has better chances of selling on FB marketplace because some people's offers om Yaga are ridiculous, you might as well give the items for free. There's a new app in town and I hope more people move to it. Yaga has become a joke.

Since joining Yaga
Since joining Yaga, I’ve loved the platform — there’s truly nothing else like it. It’s user‑friendly, easy to navigate, and has become my go‑to place for buying and selling secondhand books. I trust the app and enjoy using it, especially because of the buyer protection feature, which gives me peace of mind in every transaction.
✅ What I Love
Smooth buying and selling experience
Reliable buyer protection that builds trust
A strong community of sellers and buyers
User‑friendly design that makes listing and shopping simple
⚠️ Suggestions for Improvement
Search results: Relevant items should appear at the top, followed by related ones.
Shop filtering: It would be great to filter within a seller’s shop. Scrolling through 100+ items can be tedious and time‑consuming.
Return policy is a scam
Apparently return policy is selective, and is not guaranteed as it's stated on their website. Bought a dress that a seller advertised as a size Large (fits size M). The dress is a size Small petite at best. YAGA refused to assist with return, even though their own policy states its 48HRs. Beware! they are very selective with their policies and its changing all the time now apparently as well.
My shop was shut down allegedly for…
My shop was shut down allegedly for selling counterfeit items. I in turn sent and email explaining to them that there must have been a misunderstanding as the items i had posted were second hand items that i bought from a thrift market. I went on to send the exact same pictures of the the items that i had posted for them to at least review the issue but got response saying that i could not get a review of the issue. To make it all worse the shop went with all my funds for the sales i made over the festive season. I am no longer able to withdraw from there.
Im not sure if closing down sellers with no just cause is their way of making extra money. Im heartbroken really.
I had an extremely disappointing…
I had an extremely disappointing experience with Yaga's customer service. The representatives demonstrated a poor attitude, and I could feel the arrogance coming through in their email responses.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company to anyone. If you do choose to use their services, be aware that you may face significant challenges if you need any assistance from their customer service team. Proceed at your own risk.
Scammed on yaga
Apparently Yaga is strongly against sellers selling fake products but when a fake products was sold to me they were acting as if their hands are tied when there were still time to reverse the payment or not paying it out to the seller. And rather telling me to get in contact with the seller who was not even responding to messages...
Prices are almost as much as new after…
Prices are almost as much as new after one adds up all the hidden fees plus delivery. Clothes look crumbled and hard to tell the condition!
I’d rather donate to charity and buy from charity stores like Vintage with Love!
Their ads are awful!!!!
vältida!
Olen Yagat aastaid kasutanud.
😭😭
