I had a wonderful experience in the Elemis area on Friday, April 17. It was a little after 12 PM, I found some beautiful fragrances on sale. As I was checking out the young lady Jacinsu ( she was so beautiful) offered me a free facial. I took her up on her offer. She used the rose fragrance cleanser, moisturizer & a wonderful lesson on keeping my skin healthy. Thanks for being so kind & keep up your positive energy.

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!

Having ordered goods online for collection on arrival at Heathrow Termibal 3, I was told by the duty free shop that I needed to collect from the excess baggage counter in the main terminal. I went to the baggage area and was advised that I should have been sent a 4 digit code for collection - I had not been sent one. They then checked and had no orders in my name. I raised this with customer services who advised that I should have collected it in the world duty free shop - where I had initially gone. The purchase was a present for the person who’d looked after my dogs. Really annoying and would not use again.

Most airports have a duty free sales area on arrival, usually after passport control and before baggage collection. Makes a lot of sense, right. No carrying heavy litre bottles onto planes, maybe forgetting them in the overhead locker. LHR have a different system. They have a shop after the baggage carousels just before exiting into the arrivals hall which will sell a very limited choice of chocolate and alcohol, only this is not duty free, no matter what the 10p plastic bag states (which you only find was not "gifted" but was charged when you read the receipt), or the branded sales area sign "World Duty Free". That's when you realise the bottles are not litres but typical supermarket 70cl bottles and you just paid 30% more than your local Tescos, Sainsbury's, Lidl, Aldi, Asda, Waitrose or Morrisons.
It feels like a duty free but it's a duty paid retailer with an additional levy for the high rents of an airport retail area. After a long haul, it's easy to get suckered in for that forgotten gift but do yourself a favour, shop local, save money, and take your own bag!

Was in a rush to buy a box of chocolates hotel Chocolat choclates, which I assume aren't duty free. Asked to see my boarding pass that was on my phone that was switched off... So didn't bother in the end .... You don't need to show a boarding card at other shops in the airport.

What is the point of duty free when it is so expensive. I bought a bottle wine on 20 December 2025. Château de Lamarque 2017 for 40.49 pounds with included 4.50 pounds discount. Later I checked that the real price on the market is almost half. Honestly I was very disappointed.

A further update! Guess what? Still no response from World Duty Free. Says it all really doesn’t it?

Took my daughter’s money and not even the courtesy of a response. Disgusting!

The Dior section of the WDF London Heathrow is not very professional when a customer buy some product from them they are supposed to give away some free samples but this staff thinks that even asking for sample is wrong very rude unprofessional looks like Dior has kept those samples for their staff and not for customers to try and even more products.

Spent over £70 on aftershave. Brought item home and it wont work nozzle broken/faulty. They sell overpriced sub standard products.

Bought a bracelet from duty free Cardiff , after a few weeks bracelet broke and lost charm on it , was disappointed , paid £79 , I also bought necklace and earrings to match , I got in touch with duty free , within two weeks I’ve received a new bracelet , plus my postage back for the broken one excellent customer services , one happy customer

I bought a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses at the airport. Unfolded them when at my destination in Portugal (tennis holiday) and realised one arm (the sunglasses, not mine) was broken. They were wearable but I could fold them to put in their box. I emailed World Duty Free when I got home and they were brilliant! They even refunded my return postage for the sunglasses and sent me a new pair. Great service. Thank you.

I had to write this review because I find the situation really worring. A few days ago I tried to purchase a litre of gin at a Duty Free Shop at Heathrow airport and was told by the assistant that no Duty Free alcohol was allowed into Australia. I told her I was a fairly frequent traveller and had never heard this before so it must be a very new rule. She told me she had been doing the job for 19 years and it had always been like this and she had never sold alcohol to Australian's. She said the most that Australians could bring into the country was 100 mls. She told me if I bought the gin she would write on the packet " customer would not listen". My bag had been stolen during the trip and
I didn't have a phone to google " alcohol allowance Australia" so I gave up and didn't buy the gin. Of course you can bring 2.25 litres in so that lady has been doing her job wrong for 19 years !!!

Gill at Gatwick north terminal helped us with purchase of sunglasses. Absolutely brilliant service. Took her time helping my husband choose the best sunglasses to suit his face & just couldnt do enough.

Azra at Manchester duty free has just made waiting for a delayed flight so much more pleasant! She's helped me try some great skincare - my brand loyalty is up for grabs since boycotting Estée Lauder brands - and even had a perfume suggestion to top off the glow up. She's nailed it, and Lancome can thank her for my future purchases.

Service at Heathrow T5 was OK, although I was a little put out by having to use a self-scan checkout. As staff member put my purchase - a bottle of gin - into a sealed bag and I left.

When I returned to the UK, I was stopped by security in Greece and told that I would have to check in my hand baggage as the gin was in a black plastic bag and European regulations only allow clear plastic bags.

There were no warning or advisory notes about this in the shop at Heathrow and I consider that they should not be using processes which are not acceptable in all airports, particularly European ones.

Made an order through Reserve And Collect for 130+ pounds. Wanted to make a gift. Received damaged packaging, which apparently was opened many times and was lying in the farthest corners for months. On the box with powder there are many fingerprints of other people. It is not very pleasant to take into your hands a hygiene product that was owned by unknown people before you, it is unknown what they held in these hands before. The second package is simply dented. The other two packages are normal. If you like to buy used cosmetics with other people's fingerprints, at the price of new, then use the services of the Reserve And Collect service In the store World Duty Free Stansted
