Good Morning, I have spoken to our sales team and nobody in our office was aware that the edging hadn't turned up and we cannot find any correspondence with regards this problem? my colleague has contacted the manufacturer this morning and requested some be posted out immediately

So I was really skeptical about…
So I was really skeptical about ordering as I had read the reviews online. I decided to risk it and order my Egger Worktops (They were significantly cheaper than anywhere else I could find as they were the only place that did 2m lengths) on my credit card so incase any issues i'd be covered by the credit card companies product protection policy. I was expecting delivery to be an absolute palaver after reading the reviews and it wasn't at all, it was great ! I got a text asking what day I wanted delivery, a phone call an hour before and the delivery man was great and really helpful with unloading the products with my uncle. Ordered Thursday, delivered Tuesday morning... literally cant complain ! :-)

This company is mis- selling
This company is mis - leading customers on their website. They advertise 2m x900 mm work tops and after you order and pay, they then ring to say their couriers refuse to carry 2m but will carry 4m!, so we had to pay more. The truth is that the courier used to cut the 4m into 2m but under H and S rules, now don’t. Worktop city has known this for a while, so knows that customers cannot buy 2 m lengths, but still advertise them. Apart from the fact that we, in our 70s, had to help the driver carry the extremely heavy work top up our drive, we now have 2.10m of surplus worktop.
This is mis - selling at its worst.

I don't know who supplied you with information regarding health and safety but it certainly wasn't anybody in our firm and this is not the reason behind us not been able to supply a 2mtr length to your delivery area. The depot which services your area do not offer half boards (2mtr lengths) they don't have the facility to facilitate this. As a company we do supply 2mtr boards although only through depots which have the facility to cut the boards. This was explained, we apologised and refunded. You then continued your mission to source a 2mtr and came back to us to re-instate the order and make a change to a 4mtr length when you found this was the situation amongst our competitors also who use the same distribution channels.
I am sorry you are dissatisfied on this occasion
Shoddy firm with no customer service
BE AWARE OF WORKTOP CITY AND WORKTOP DEPOT. One of the worst firms I've ever dealt with. Very poor communication from start to finish. Not delivered on pre-arranged date and, as they are simply an online broker, not their problem. However, they didn't even know of any delays, nor were they bothered, not their problem appears to be their motto. Worktop arrived two days later with a scratch but only found that after board had been cut so, under their terms and conditions, not their problem. No offer of any goodwill gesture. WILL NEVER PURCHASE FROM THEM AGAIN - NOR SHOULD YOU!!!

I have investigated this matter and find this review a little unfair our website clearly states with the egger products the we don't have full UK coverage on delivery of this range and to call the office prior to ordering to check we deliver to your area prior to placing orders. Upon receiving your order no contact had been made prior to check if we cover your area and in this rare instance we don't have coverage of this range in your area.

Shame I cannot go less than 1 star.
Ordering online was easy enough.
The price was reasonable.
Then the problems started. I received a phone call telling me my earliest delivery date was about 11 days away.
Fine, I arranged for my builder and carpenter to be present to help unload and then begin work at a cost of £220.
Due to the cost implications, i called at 0830 to ensure my delivery was arriving that day. I was told it was and the driver would call an hour before arrival. I called again about 1130 to ask if I could get a rough ETA. I was told some body would call me back but they didn’t.
I called AGAIN at 3:30pm only to be told my delivery had not been loaded and was not about to be delivered. I asked for an explanation, I was told it wasn’t loaded on the lorry.
I was offered a delivery 4 days later, with no room for negotiation.
I was offered the delivery charge of £30 as a refund for an order of around £900 which was a joke.
Harry told me he was in charge and there was no other supervisor I could speak too. Harry was unmoved and unapologetic.
I asked Harry to have the manager call me the following day.
NOTHING.
APPALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE. APPALLING STAFF.
I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY WHATSOEVER.
THEY SIMPLY DONT CARE.
I am out of pocket by £220 and an extra 7 days living on a building site.
DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND LOOK ELSEWHERE.

Mr C, I have looked into this issue and it appears that in this instance the range you ordered was been delivered directly from the manufacturer, they had confirmed the delivery date to us in an order confirmation and looking at our call log had confirmed it was out for delivery. Upon receiving your call at around 3.30 my colleague put in another call to Multipanel who at this point and no sooner informed us that there had been a processing error at their end and it hadn't been loaded onto the vehicle, we where in the unfortunate situation whereby we had to then relay the message to you. Having spoken to a manager at the manufacturer we where informed it wasn't logistically possible for them to deliver the panels any quicker than the revised date they had come up with. Upon relaying this information to you and offering to refund the delivery charge as a gesture of goodwill at our cost you had stated you wish for the order to be cancelled and immediately refunded, to which this was actioned immediately as per your request. Unfortunately in this instance we also feel let down by our supplier (the manufacturer) for their error and miscommunication. Deliveries are all day deliveries between 8-5 and As per our terms and conditions we do recommend not booking tradesmen / fitters in for the day products are due to arrive should any unforseen circumatances arise.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Excellent service with a call on the day to say they were a hour away which was great.
I found this worktop in Leekes and loved the design but not the price!
I think I have used worktop city in the past and found the design at a brilliant price, I highly recommend them and would use them again without hesitation.

Thoughtless and very uncaring
At no point during purchase did I read that we would need an able bodied person to help unload. Being pregnant I cannot help lift a 4.1m length of worktop, therefore a month later I am still waiting for my delivery. They will not help despite offering to pay extra. Careless and thoughtless.
Edited: I have been in contact 4 times so the untruths in the reply below just sum it up. As for telling me they have cancelled the order, well, customer services ??????

I have looked into this for you. Firstly I must point it you placed your order online. It is clear in our delivery terms and conditions that delivery is a one person delivery and that assistance is required. Furthermore our shopping cart system will not let you proceed with an order until a box is checked staying this is understood. On this occasion the delivery is direct from the manufacturer therefore we couldn't possibly put an extra person on the delivery for you. As for waiting 4 weeks you had left it with our office that you would be back in touch to organise a delivery date and haven't been back in touch with us until this morning.

Ordered around a dozen samples to choose worktop. This costs £1.50. Received an envelope with just 2 in there. Emails asking where the rest of my samples were remain unanswered.
Spent my £2k elsewhere and told several friends currently kitchen shopping to do the same. If they can't actually send the right samples for £1.50, or answer emails I wouldn't trust them with anything more.
*edited to add* Samples may be sent out by manufacturers but emails were sent to you and ignored by you so not an excuse.

absolutely terrible customer relations
absolutely terrible customer relations! cancelling all my future contracts with these and will advise all my contacts to do the same. these have lost out on a vast amount of business with me now all because they wouldn't change a 6ft length of worktop they delivered damaged and after you've paid £40 delivery. If you're in the trade as i am, avoid at all costs. Thanks for taking my money and leaving me to scrap the worktop you damaged!

Dear sir, I have looked into this issue for you in regard to a half length of worktop which was delivered two weeks ago I can see you called this lunchtime and reported a large 'dent' in the item. For damage claims these must be reported within the outlined period and as the item had been sat at your customers site for two weeks we could not persue any damages in transit claim because it cannot be concluded where the damage has been caused after such length of time. As with all suppliers there are guidelines and timescales for reporting issues. This timescale is indicated in our terms and conditions and also the delivery note signed by the recipient on delivery.
