I bought 3 items from Woodies in Naas on 21st November. It turned out that I didn’t need them after all, so they were unused, unopened, and I still had the receipt - hence, I decided to return them on 27th December. I presumed that Woodies had extended its returns policy for the Christmas period until January (like most other large retailers in Ireland) but I was wrong, as I was told quite bluntly by the manager of the Naas store when I tried to return the items for a refund. He scoffed when I said I thought Woodies were doing extended returns and he was quite patronising and condescending - at one point he even said in an abrupt tone, “You had a full month to return them, why didn’t you do it then?” and he looked at me if I was an idiot! I explained that I thought they had extended their returns policy until January and that was why I hadn’t returned them within the normal 30 days. He was quite dismissive and said there was nothing he could do except offer me an exchange. I said I didn’t need anything else in the store at the moment, so I asked for a credit note or a voucher for the value of the goods instead (which I would have been happy with) but he refused. He said it was Woodies’ store policy to only offer an exchange once it was over the 30 day period and there was nothing he could do. So, I had no other option but to waste my time looking for something else in the store that I didn’t need!
Aside from the store manager’s attitude, I think their customer service also leaves a lot to be desired - it’s one thing if they don’t want to extend their returns policy for Christmas (even though most other large retail chains do nowadays), but to refuse to give a credit note or a voucher for an unopened item accompanied by the original receipt (which was just 4 days outside their standard returns period) is very poor customer service in my opinion. If they had offered me a voucher or credit note, I would have gone away quite happy and returned at some point in the near future to buy something else and probably would’ve spent even more money in Woodies. As it stands, I have been a regular customer of them for over 20 years. However, because of how I was treated yesterday and because I was forced to exchange the items for something else that I didn’t really need or want has put me off ever returning to Woodies. They have lost my custom for good (and that of all my family) and I will be taking my business to B&Q and Ted Johnson’s from now on.

Recenty order an electric kettle, steam mop and starter logs. Delivery arrives and it’s only the starter logs. I had no communication from Woodies to say there is any issue or delay with my order. I gave it 2 more days in case part of the order was delayed, no issue with that. Finally no sign of the rest of my order and I email them to be told “ Unfortunately the two items you are missing are out of stock and they should of been refunded before the 15 Starterlogs where sent out to you, I will process a refund now for the two missing items.” I placed my orders on the night of the 6th Dec, got confirmation from Woodies that is was received on the 7th, updated on the 12th to say it was shipped with a courier and confirmed delivery on the 13th. One third of my order!!! Despite my order being accepted which I’m still angry about, no one from Woodies contacted me to say items were out of stock or that I was due a refund.
The emails I received back from their “Customer Service” after I contacted them yesterday was just unacceptable “ Again we are very sorry about the disappointment caused the refund has been processed back into your account.

Our Home Delivery Team is looking into this stock level issue as your items should have been showing out of stock, we will make sure our website gets updated so this issue does not happen again.”. That is just not good enough from a company of that size to just fob off their customer.
I’d give a zero star if I had the option. Unacceptable Woodies!!!

In Kilkenny for some reason you have staff on who don't know how to blow up helium balloons. We have a very disappointed 3 year old who's birthday it is today...

Never got womans name on till at costumers service in Airside today tues 19th Nov. She went above & beyond to help us with paint colours & advise us on how to get best result with what we were looking for. She's a credit to her job....the only way I can describe her is very pleasant with glasses & dark with a tight ponytail🥺

Great customer service provided by Noel and Conor at the Woodies Blanchardstown Retail park branch. Though I'd dearly like to be I'm as far from a DIY expert as you can get and both Noel and Conor were knowledgeable, friendly and efficient in helping me find and select the products I needed. Bravo Woodies and I hope you have an Employee Rewards program in place to recognize the excellent customer service provided by staff like Noel and Conor. I'll be back!

Lost my delivery and are straight up refusing to answer me. The kitchen design team were fantastic and have helped as much as they can but whatever is going on in their warehouse I have no idea. I got some excuse about a driver "disappearing" so my delivery would be delayed. Now my kitchen has been fitted with no sink and no one on Woodies end will now answer me and my point of contact now hangs up the phone when my name comes up. Stay well away from this unprofessional company to avoid headaches.

Woodies home delivery service leaves a lot to be desired, I ordered 4 items, some were unavailable for click and collect,home delivery was the only choice, I duly paid the fee, but didn't realise it would take 2 to 5 working days due to the courier company they choose to deliver their products, in total I'm waiting 7 days for my items,I expect it to be delivered on the 7th day, I suggest a company like Woodies should employ a more efficient courier service, as it's well known that the current courier employed is not capable of efficient and prompt delivery

Adam in Bray was so helpful and pleasant to deal with, he knows the paint well, i brought in a press door and he colour matched it

I checked the woodies website to make sure they had the product I was looking for in my local store in Blanchardstown. I drove to the store to find out they didn't have it in stock. This leaves me with no trust in their website. Their stock check system is not reliable and therefore wastes customers time.

I'm very late leaving this review, but better late than never!
We used Woodies's kitchen consultants in the Wexford branch to have our kitchen remodelled this year. Not only was Jonathan professional to the highest degree, he was friendly, understanding, really listened to what we were looking for in a kitchen, and made excellent suggestions on how to maximise our space. He was also incredibly patient with me, as there were plenty of changes and redesigns before we landed on something we really liked.
The team he assembled for us to have the kitchen installed were phenomenal. They were efficient, professional, and generally great to deal with. Jonathan and team were so responsive whenever we had to contact them with questions. He has taken our old, broken, and outdated kitchen, and turned it into a modern, ergonomic, and beautiful space that we love to be in and use. I truly cannot describe how grateful we are, or how much we would recommend Jonathan, and Woodies. Thank you so much!

Went to woodies blackpool cork for kitchen, met salesman but said I'd have make appointment and come back, went in 1st October went through everything, picked out kitchen and all new appliances told have breakdown of costs wed Thursday at latest, nothing came rang Friday and actually spoke to sales man who said he was with someone and would ring me back within the hour,still heard nothing so rang again Monday and he says "oh sorry,I was out sick all last week" amazing how I talked to him the Friday so he basically lied to me,it's now the 12th and still nothing, I wouldn't go back to woodies for it now even if offered me 50% off a lying useless bunch.

Bought patio furniture eight weeks ago we’re putting it away for the winter realized it was rusting from the inside brought the attention to Woody’s not interested. Couldn’t get the girl to say that it was not for purpose, even though it’s outdoor patio furniture she’s saying that you have to cover it in the rain. What kind of patio floor do you have to cover in the rain? Won’t be buying Woody anymore.

The location and variety of stock in the Wexford store are convenient, but, boy, oh, boy, will it cost you! Some items are extortionately overpriced. A couple of bags of garden compost and sand will set you back nearly 100 quid at Woodie's. Make it make sense?
