Wickes - Swansea Anmeldelser 

1. Ordered and paid deposit February 4th.
2. Delivered May15th.
3. Installation day May 19th. Installer never arrived.Numerous calls to WICKES, no help.
4. They then suggested they come and pick up the kitchen and return it to the Depot for redelivery in 3 to 4 weeks.
5. We suggested that we could get our own fitter to Scott and Chris.
6. New fitter started job on Monday June 2nd. Found 500 larder unit on plan was actually 600, and 2 were delivered. The 600 unit would not fit. Phoned June 3rd (Ryan) to ask if the unit could be cut down to 500. He said he would have to ask his manager. No reply.
2 new doors were ordered for 500 unit, arrived but did not fit. New one ordered still waiting..
7. June 5th, had phone call from Swansea depot to discuss the situation, they gave permission to cut larder unit to 500. Went to fit decor panel, green not grey.
8. Back panel on 900 floor unit cracked.
9. Door missing from 900 wall unit. Replacement ordered delivered damaged, replacement ordered again delivered damaged. Replacement ordered July 9th, still waiting.
10. Wrong sink unit ordered, had to return it and had to purchase correct one from other supplier.
11. Had to purchase a new ceramic hob due to the worktop being thinner, surely this should have been noticed by Designer.
The only help we have had is from Katie who took over the order as original Designer was on holiday.
Been down to WICKES today and asked to speak to the manager, he was on a video call and would phone back when he had finished. That was 4 hours ago and no call.
I have numerous boxes in my garage waiting for WICKES to pick them up(wrong delivery).
I just want to have my kitchen finished and get back to normal.
Been a nightmare from start to finish

Asked where in the Swansea store I could find the product I was looking for. Steve on the checkout gave me instructions like a Satnav. Perfect, I was in and out in 5 minutes to carry on with my day.

Shout out to Mateo. We didn’t get to the kitchen stage for other reasons. But can’t fault the guy for his presentation. A great enthusiastic character. He explained everything thoroughly like it was his bread and butter. Clearly knows what he’s doing. I’d recommend his services. An all round interesting guy also. Ask him about kite surfing. All the best.

Just recently had a fitted bathroom supplied and fitted by Wickes in Swansea. I won’t go into the problems and delays for this project now but I will say I would never use Wickes again.
Just 4 months after the bathroom installation was completed it has developed a fault with the fill valve in the toilet cistern so the toilet cistern will not refill with water after it’s been flushed. There is also a problem with the extraction fan that will not turn off automatically.
The fitter of the bathroom has called and confirmed the valve needs replacing as it’s defective, and the fan doesn’t work as it should yet Wickes customer service seem to think that it’s up to me to supply video and photo evidence before they can be bothered to order what is probably the cheapest components in a very expensive bathroom.
So over the last three weeks I have sent Wickes customer services many emails with video and stills of the cistern not filling and I’m not sure they would appreciate days of footage of an extractor fan that won’t turn off, but they insist they can’t open the videos and they need evidence before they will do anything, even though the fitter they employed to fit their bathroom has inspect and confirmed the problems.
Wickes seem not to know or care about the consumer act of 2015, and as for their two year warranty it just doesn’t seem to be worth the paper it’s written on.
That is a shame as their supposed warranty was the main factor in us using Wickes instead of a local bathroom company.
I am extremely disappointed with Wickes I will never use this company again and I wishes I hadn’t fallen for their sales patter in the first place. The whole experience with Wickes has been a let down.
I would just like warn people who are considering using Wickes to fit a bathroom, just don’t do it, it’s not worth it, use a local reputable installer that will honour the warranty.

Initially all was good, staff directed us to wall tiles & we selected a suitable tile. We then went to arrange home delivery, but we were 2 miles out of coverage. Having made a special journey we wasted time & fuel on this trip some 50 miles. As Wickes say home delivery but thats not the case. All the staff were polite friendly & coueteous, even offering me a chair as i could not stand for long. At least Wickes could state limited distance home delivery. They lost the order for 20 sq m & new bathroom/ shower

Getting a kitchen designed is quite a journey and there are a bewildering amount of options along the way. We got some designs from more than one kitchen supplier and compared them with what Wickes could come up with.

Anna from Wickes in Swansea came up with some very helpful ideas and guided us every step of the way.

Revisions, measurements, product choices were all reviewed from time to time. Even when we changed our minds on an item, Anna helped us with the changes and ensured our total was ammended accordingly.

Anna was professional, courteous, patient and friendly. Things needed altering even after our kitchen installer quoted us for some additional works, but Wickes customer care team do what they can to put you at ease.

Nearer the installation date, the customer care team run through delivery dates and ensure that any items being delivered separately at different times are on a day that is convenient.

Whilst we did not want to compromise our kitchen, our budget was not open ended and Wickes helped make sure our kitchen and utility room were designed to a very high standard.

Note: this review has been submitted in June, ahead of the installation date scheduled for 11th August.

After two months without a shower due to unsafe electrical work completed in my home, and no correspondence from Wickes in the last month they've left me with no option but to escalate matters. Please avoid this organisation because if something goes wrong your methods to contact them and complain are virtually non-existent.

Mateo Nilsen came out to our home,to design a new kitchen for us.
Unlike other kitchen designers, he actually listened to what we wanted.
He came up with some ideas we hadn't considered, he changed the layout of our kitchen, giving us far more storage, at the same time, making it much more ergonomic and user friendly.
What's more it actually saved us money, on the number of units we thought we needed to achieve the extra storage.
Having our follow up visit in store with Mateo, he showed us all the products, and gave us a range of choices, in worktops and flooring.
He was very professional and friendly through out our visit, he dealt with our tweaks and changes with good humour and patience.
Having decided on the finished product, he explained the process and time scales,we would be working to, and provided us with a comprehensive breakdown of costs.
If the fitting of our new kitchen, will be as easy, and as pleasent an experience as the design, then I can't wait to have my lovely new kitchen installed.

Anna was very polite and friendly, very helpful with the kitchen design and also sorting any changes or issues. Would definitely recommend 😀

A big thank you to Scott at Wickes in Swansea. His help today was invaluable and nothing was too much trouble. I purchased decorative stones for my garden which he loaded on to my trolley and put the bags in to my car. And he arranged delivery of a kitchen sink and taps that I bought. Thank you Scott, your help was much appreciated

Katie Wells made the whole experience from designing to personalising the kitchen to how I want very very easy.She understood exactly what i was thinking and wanting in my dream kitchen,Katie i an absolute credit to Swansea Wickes team.Thanks a lot for everything Katie.

We were allocated a very good designer - Katie Wells. She took our measurements and came up with a very good design which met all our requirements. Her training as an architect helped. She assisted us choose the work top, sink and cupboards. The work was completed to schedule and we now have a lovely kitchen.

Spoke to Scott and was pleasantly surprised with the help given, he was very polite and helpful and even took me to where the item was displayed, very happy with the service, he's a very helpful polite young man. Thank you fo all his help.

The staff were very helpful. I needed paint that was low on odour and dried quickly Adam at the Cwmdu branch of Wickes took me straight to the aisle I needed and showed me all the paint that was available. After purchase he arrange assistance to help me load it into the car . I am disabled and I can't thank Adam and the staff enough for helping me.
