We are a local school and reached out to Wickes; Newcastle Extra store and was put in contact with Alana Ruddick. We applied for the community funding and Alana was in touch very quickly. She explained what we could request and was very informative. She organised the resources quickly and kept communication throughout. As a result, we have been able to use the resources to develop some of our Early Years outdoor area. We can't thank you enough.

We have just had our new kitchen fitted by Simon Ord - Precision joinery and we could not have asked for a better job or experience. Simon was brilliant from day one when he came to measure up and book us in. Everything was explained in perfect detail, we were consulted on everything and from that first day we knew we were in safe and capable hands. Simon arranged all of the other tradesmen for us (plasterers, electrician and plumber) and these were also really good , friendly guys who importantly turned up on time and worked hard to a very high standard. On the week of the installation everything went perfectly to plan and once again Simon was an excellent communicator and his workmanship is second to none. Absolutely recommend and if your buying a new kitchen from Wickes in Newcastle then I advise you to ask for Simon as your fitter, you will not be disappointed.

Simon Ord, (Precision Joinery) did an excellent job fitting my new kitchen. He is friendly, helpful, very profesional and a bit of a perfectionist and you can tell he takes pride in his job. Time management exceptional and 100% for tidying up after a full days work.
I would recommend Simon without any hesitation.

Everytime I come to my local Wickes Susan helps me out with everything I need. She is an absolute asset to Wickes and provides 10/10 customer service at all times. Keep up the good work Susan.

I have been dealing with Alana at the Newcastle - Stamfordham Road store for a project for a local youth and community group. Alana has kindly helped us with some gloss and brushes.

I came into the store needing help as wasn’t sure what I would need for the job I was preparing for. Sam ( the manager on this day) was beyond helpful, she talked me through products, letting me know benefits of each one. Very professional and knowledgeable. Thank you again Sam, will definitely come back to store again for all my house improvements.

Alana was so helpful when we were choosing our items. She got paper, pen and a measuring tape for us so we could work out what we needed. Alana also put the items away for us as we had to go and get the car. She's an assest to Wickes and we really appreciated all of her help and time.

Great service from Natalie,polite and very helpful....so nice to be served by someone that really cares about the way she goes about her work.Thank you.

Was in Newcastle Extra on good Friday what an experience it was greeted when I entered the store by a Scottish lady , was unsure where to go for stain sealer and was shown to the product, then served at the till by Susan who was very friendly , overall excellent experience.

From entering Wickes on stamfordham road, Newcastle upon Tyne we found the the staff very pleasant and helpful. They guided us to the materials we needed.
Overall a good experience.

I came in the store for gravel aggregate, two visits in the same day and was greeted by NATALIE , she was so helpful , she was very polite and far exceeded her job role to make my purchases easier to load up in my van , she is an asset to the store and should be rewarded for her professionalism

Reached out to Alana Ruddick at Wickes Newcastle for assistance with a community project. (Air Cadets in West Denton stripping down a small engine). She pointed us to the community fund and arranged for us to receive all the equipment we needed for the project. She worked at short notice and made sure her team knew where the products were when we picked them up.

Dreadful delivery. Expected 12th March as I received a text stating it would be delivered 12th March between 08:00 and 18:00. Received an updated text a short while later stating the item will be delivered between 12:00 and 15:00. No further texts or calls and item was not delivered at all. A bit frustrating as I had taken time from work to take delivery.
Next morning I received a text staing once again that a delivery would be made. I contacted the delivery company by calling the included telephone number. I spoke with the receptionist and asked how confident they were that my delivery would be received today as I had a failed delivery yesterday. She went on to tell me that the item was never sent yesterday and that they had never sent texts saying so! which is incredible as I had the texts. She stated that they never send texts and that head office at Wickes send the texts.
This was then denied by Wickes when I called them.
Eventually my item was delivered today and I asked the delivery driver why he failed to deliver yesterday to which he replied that he had too much on and the weather was dreadful and he running very late and postponed my delivery.
So basically it has been lies all round and a lot of passing the buck. I have spoken at length with Wickes who have to take responsibility as they use the delivery company.
Not a very good start for my forthcoming project.

Amazing service when purchasing fence panels. Charlotte made what would have been a chore into a fun experience. She went above and beyond was very knowledgeable, her customer service was excellent. The product was delivered in perfect condition on the same day as purchased for a small charge. We were very happy with the service and would highly recommend Wickes.

I work with the Air Cadets who are a non profit organisation. As such we applied for a grant for £100 from Wickes to buy some paint as the premises we need was in desperate need of redecorating. We were successful and contacted by a lovely lady called Alana Ruddick from Wickes Newcastle. She was extremely helpful outlining exactly what we could have and answering our queries. We settled on some paint and contacted her, it was ready for collection the very next day. We are extremely impressed with the kindness of the donation and also how helpful Alana was in progressing this. Thank you Alana and Wickes Newcastle

I don't EVER remember being so impressed with the helpfulness of so many staff members of one business as this Wickes store. Particularly, Steven (Scottish accent) and Lewis were EXCEPTIONAL in their assistance and professionalism.

Simon Ord, our Wickes fitter, was extremely professional,hard working and reliable throughout the job. He gave us excellent advice at every stage and clearly knows his trade.The quality of his work was outstanding and nothing was too much trouble.We are very pleased with the results and would definitely recommend Simon for any job.

Chelsie Broady at St James Retail Park was very knowledgeable and made the design process super quick and easy. I came in knowing pretty much exactly what I wanted, and she let me know what would work, and what wouldn’t. This is the first kitchen I’ve ever purchased, and so it was nice to have someone experienced for guidance. I haven’t ordered my kitchen yet, but will be doing so shortly using the design Chelsie made.

I was Wickes Newcastle on Monday and were served by a young scottish lady called Alana , i needed some advice on what would be the best paint to put over a stain that i had in my bedroom, Alana knew excatly what i needed and took me straight to the product and explained how to use it , she then took me to the till and served me there too very helpful and knows her stuff credit to Wickes Newcastle

What a brilliant service from start to finish. Being new to any form of home improvements, getting a new kitchen seemed extremely daunting, but everyone we've dealt with has really helped put us at ease and made the process as stress free as possible.

Our designer Chelsie Broady has been brilliant, she really took the time to find out what was important to us to give us suggestions that really fitted our needs. Chelsie's extensive knowledge shows, answering any queries we had and explaining the full process clearly so we knew exactly what was going on. Above all, Chelsie was so friendly to deal with, she's a real credit to the team.

The delivery process was incredibly smooth and the delivery team were friendly and polite. The tracking and delivery updates were really helpful.

We can't thank our installation team (Simon Ord - Precision Joinery) enough. From the start Simon kept us well informed of the planned work from start to finish, as well as any bumps in the road (e.g. being a total life saver spotting and fixing a leak from the bathroom). Although there's quite a bit of upheaval involved in getting a new kitchen fitted (especially with two young children in the house), Simon completely put me at ease. The team are clearly well experienced, hard working and fantastic at what they do, we couldn't be more grateful to them or more pleased with our gorgeous new kitchen.
