George was very helpful finding me my lightbulbs, he was also full off energy and very talkative, making customers feel very welcome

George was very helpful and helped out where he could was very happy and chatty and a pleasure to be served by.

Been to Wickes 3 times this week and happened to be served by him 3 times. Really helpful friendly staff member, even interacting with my 2 young children, making them laugh. Asset to the team. Well done

We were served by George at the Littlehampton branch. George was very friendly and helpful.

Served by Harry Diplock who could not have been more helpful. He pushed the trolley out to the car and loaded all the bags for us. Always very courteous and polite. All very much appreciated

I had excellent service from Harry at Littlehampton store. He was so helpful over making sure I purchased the right light bulb for our outside lantern. Thank you so much for all your effort it was much appreciated!

Paula in the kitchen department went above and beyond to help us with an issue! Thanks so much for your help Paula, it’s really appreciated and we can now finish our project.

Purchased a tube of filler. When I got to doing the job a couple of days later the filler wouldn’t come out. Customer service was useless.. not helpful at all.

Selling faulty products and then not taking responsibility is low for a well known brand. Don’t bother buying wickes branded products.

I arrived at the store and was advised to go to the side of the store and meet someone who would give me my order.
I entered the gates and no one was there, eventually a fork lift driver appeared about 30 mtrs away and shouted at me to get out of the yard when I said I was collecting he continued shouting at me to leave as I was not wearing a Hi vis jacket !!
I retreated to behind the gate where he followed me and said I had to leave the carpark aswell. I replied that he said leave the yard and he started shouting at me again. He shouted I had to wait until he had emptied the hgv.
I went back to my truck and had to wait approx 35 minutes sitting in my truck behind plastic barriers that kept falling over in the wind. This left my truck in a slightly dangerous position as it is so close to the main entrance to the store.
Eventually when the hgv was loaded my 20 bags of multifinish plaster were dumped in a far corner of the carpark on a pallet, the fork lift driver then left and shut the gates of his very precious yard.
I am a gas engineer since 1986 and have never been treated like this before, thankfully I can stand up for my self and will not be bullied by silly people, hopefully no elder customers get treated this way

I want to massively thank Josh, who works in the Littlehampton Design department. He is incredibly kind, helpful and always thinking of the customer - as well as installers. Josh is a great asset to the Wickes team!

Wickes messed up my click and collect order for an item they had in stock. They told me they had an issue with their system, and as such I could not get my order.. despite them taking the money for it.

Roll forward two weeks, and I still have no product and no refund, despite multiple attempts to get a refund. All e-mails are ignored. Phone calls to customer services 'promise' a refund, but nothing comes.

I have had to resort to raising a claim against them using PayPal (thank god I paid with PayPal), as they are simply stringing me along.

TLDR
Wickes will take your money and take advantage of the fact you are just a small fish in a big pond, knowing you are basically at their mercy for how and when you might recieve your money back.

This whole thing has wasted hours of my days, and they don't give a damn.

ALWAY pay with PayPal if you can, these grifters will fleece you if any 'issues' are encounter on their end.

EDIT:
Despite the seemingly nice reply to my post from Wickes, below, no communication has been received. They have no intention of solving this issue in a timely manner, instead, letting the timer run down on their PayPal dispute. PayPal have said they have until the 25th July to respond, and if no response by then, I will receive my money back. I'll put a bet they respond just before, so as to drag this on until the final case date of 4th August.

Still nothing from Wickes. Not a peep.

I would like to say how very helpful and efficient Kelly is, so much so that even my parents come into the store and ask for her advice on kitchen and bathroom fittings to which she can’t do enough. For me she is an asset to the store always happy to help , thank you Kelly
