We arranged online for a home visit for a quote and plan. Paul Potter from the Halesowen branch came out and we dealt with him from start to finish. From
the minute we met Paul we felt we were in a safe pair of hands. He prepared the plan and quote and even when in store and I wanted more time to think about it, Paul never tried to force the sale. We went back again and have bought the kitchen with all the appliances and would like to thank Paul for all of his help. I would definitely recommend him.

Plumbing is not my thing. Yet I was tasked with getting some parts.. looking lost surrounded by people who obviously knew what they were doing....I thought honesty is the best policy..let's find a friendly face. Enter Debbie....I think she recognised the lost look on my face. But took the time for a cheery hello, U ok....can I help....I showed her and badly explained what I was after....we had a moment of both knowing it did not help the cause. But rather than make me feel stupid or pass me on. Took the time to look with me...we chatted ...we found what I needed. She helped turn a nightmare for me visit into a pleasant experience. A credit to the store. Calm, caring, understanding no rush....had a laugh with me. I feel I have a new friend in store!!! Thanks Debbie.

Paul Potter at Halesowen branch was very helpful in store with our first enquiries 4 a new kitchen and was always quick to respond to any email enquiries we had. He provided a design we were happy with and explained everything to us. All in all a good experience, so thank u Paul.

Customer service by the manager was disgusting. I needed help take metal beading to my car as I had a toddler with me. The manager refused to help me and said he'll be happy to refund that item. This is horrible behaviour from wikes stores.

Paul was absolutely brilliant start to finish and extremely knowledgable. We give him a rough idea of what we wanted and expertly guided us through designs and ideas which best suited our needs which we are over the moon with. Overall great experience and would definitely recommend using paul with any design.

Terrible, zero communication, complete waste of time!

Was looking to get bathroom designed and installed by Wickes Halesowen. First off our home appointment got cancelled last minute (understandable) then got rearranged and went fine, no issies there.

Made an appointment to go in and view the design. It came up as a different person so called to check this would be ok and was told there was no problem. Turn up only to be told it had to be with the same person and no design had been uploaded (after over a week as we were on holiday). Rebooked for the earliest possibility. Turned up only to be told that memeber of staff was off on long term sick now and had been for nearly a week.

No phone call or email to let us know. 2 wasted trips and both times told that the manager should have contacted us to let us know. If they cannot handle organising the planning phase I dread to think what would have happened should they have got the job!

My husband and I have just visited Wickes Mucklow Hill and the young girl Leagh was so helpful sorting out tiles for us was so pleasant and polite thank you so much . Hopefully the order will turn up as booked fingers crossed

I have been waiting over a month for a refund and despite many phone calls and emails I'm being ignored by Paul Morris the store manager. The only reason a refund is required is because weeks after taking my money Wickes informed me they could not supply the shower I ordered. I'm currently over £500 out of pocket and I'm appalled by how I've been treated after spending so much money with this store.

We had a bathroom installed with Wickes in December 2024 - we flagged issues with the installer and gave him the opportunity to fix/rectify the issues in January 2025. He did not do this - we had to then wait for an installation manager to come to look at the issues in March 2025, who agreed to corrective action and a refund for work that was not completed (i.e. the installer was supposed to level the floor, and instead tiled over 4 layers of laminate).

We are now in September, and still waiting for corrective action and a refund. Currently, we have grout that will not dry out and is growing black mould (no matter how much we clean it), holes in the grout all over the bathroom (that water is leaking into), un-even floor tiling (very poor quality), a bath tiled with sharp corners (which is not what we asked for, as we have 1 year old and a 4 year old), a loose tap, and a toilet that does not flush (flush plate not fitted properly and has disconnected). We paid over £10,000 for this bathroom - and it is beyond belief we do not even have a toilet that flushes.

I have sent several e-mails to customer services and customer relations (head office), which are being ignored - the last contact I received back from them was an e-mail at the end of June 2025, confirming the corrective action and organising to send a bath panel for re-tiling (which has been sat in our living room since July 2025). I will be contacting the Furniture and Home Improvement Ombudsman this week, if they do not get back to me.

There was no intention of her doing it she wasn’t interested how can you just say £8000 it’s a very small kitchen that’s rubbish

He was very knowledgeable and set our room up on CAD. Listened to our design and gave us a visualisation so we could see the finished room.

I had a 'returns' situation which could have become messy as it was an online order.
Sonia used her exceptional customer service skills, in addition to her apparently natural desire to be helpful and resolve problems, without fuss. She did this whilst juggling several other difficulties. She is an asset to the business.
Local management have obviously nurtured a good working environment as Jayne on checkout had the same kind professionalism. Well done all.

Tahera Rahman is brilliant. I was very nervous about replacing my old kitchen - it seemed such a massive task - but from the moment we spoke in the Halesowen showroom, it felt like a friend helping. Nothing was too much trouble - Tahera answered messages and came out to my house to review measurements when I was unsure. Tahera works really hard - in fact I had to tell her off when I found out she had made an apt with me on her day off! She was encouraging but not pushy...I love my new kitchen and I am thankful to Tahera for holding my hand throughout.

Paul Potter from the Halesowen store was amazing. He helped me every step of the way with ordering my new bathroom. He's very professional, knows the products inside out and guided me through the whole process. I have used Paul several times now and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Wickes for service, quality and value.

I am utterly appalled by the level of disorganisation and sheer disregard for customer time demonstrated by Wickes. My experience with their kitchen measuring service has been nothing short of a farce, marked by repeated incompetence and a complete absence of accountability.

The first appointment, scheduled for 21 June, was abruptly cancelled just half an hour before it was due to take place. No meaningful explanation was provided, only a vague message that someone would be in touch to rearrange. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and rescheduled for 29 June. That, too, was a waste of time. No one turned up. No courtesy call. No apology. Nothing. It was as if the appointment had never existed.

I decided to try one last time, giving Wickes yet another chance to redeem themselves. The third appointment was set for 6 July. Once again, nobody bothered to turn up. Not even the decency of a phone call. I had arranged my entire day around this visit, only to be left waiting like a fool for the third time.

This is not just poor service. It is shambolic. If Wickes cannot manage the basic logistics of a home visit, how on earth are customers meant to trust them with something as significant and costly as a kitchen renovation? The arrogance of wasting people’s time repeatedly without any form of redress or explanation is disgraceful.

I am now left with the distinct impression that Wickes simply does not value its customers. Their systems are clearly broken, and their communication is abysmal. I would strongly caution anyone considering their kitchen service to think again. Reliable they are not, and respectful of your time they certainly are not.

An utter shambles from start to finish. Wickes should be ashamed.
