We recently had warranty work carried out on our kitchen by Clemi and Michael on behalf of Wickes, and we couldn't be happier with the service provided.

From start to finish, they were exceptionally professional, friendly, and courteous. Their workmanship was superb, and the quality of the repairs exceeded our expectations. They took great care to keep everything clean and tidy while they worked, treating our home with respect at all times.

Most importantly, all the issues were resolved efficiently and to a very high standard. It was a pleasure having them in our home, and they are a real credit to Wickes.

We would highly recommend Clemi and Michael to anyone. Thank you both for an outstanding job!

I was so happy with my kitchen that I didn't hesitate going back to Wickes for my bathroom.

I had a great experience with Amy Hudson from the Hailsham branch. She listened carefully to what I wanted, offered great ideas and explained everything clearly. She was patient, knowledgeable and went the extra mile to make sure I was happy with the design, even messaging me back while she was on holiday!

I also really appreciated that I never felt pressured to buy. Amy was genuinely helpful and focused on making sure I was happy with my choices rather than simply making a sale.

I would highly recommend Amy to anyone looking for help designing their bathroom. Excellent customer service from start to finish!

We had a fantastic experience with our first kitchen, designed by Amy Hudson at Hailsham Wickes, that we got her back to do our second kitchen and she didn’t disappoint! She was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and professional throughout the whole process. She took the time to understand exactly what we wanted and came up with a design that was both practical and stylish.
She was patient with all our questions, offered great advice and helped us make the most of the space while keeping our preferences and budget in mind. Nothing felt like too much trouble and we always felt that our requirements were genuinely listened to.
We’re really pleased with the final design and would highly recommend Amy to anyone looking for help designing their new kitchen. Excellent service from start to finish, again!

Clem and Mike recently installed our new kitchen. From the start we were very impressed with their work and tidiness.

At every stage they explained what they were going do and at the end of the day they showed what they had done to make sure it was satisfactory before moving forward.

They did a great job of the installation and their workmanship was of a high standard.

A lady turned up, went away and I haven’t heard anything since! 2 weeks have passed!

Our new kitchen was installed by Clemilson and his son Mike. They were very professional but at the same time friendly and approachable and were able to interpret perfectly what we had envisioned our finished kitchen to look like. Clemi identified an issue with uneven flooring which he corrected before installing the new ceramic floor tiles . They answered all our questions and were always punctual and respectful keeping us informed of their progress along the way. Communication was excellent throughout and we are very happy with the finished kitchen. We have no doubt that this was achieved thanks to the adaptable skills and experience of Clemi and his team. Thanks Clemi for making this a positive experience.

I accompanied a friend to purchase some more paint for a local community project. He had volunteered a couple of days in meticulously prepping and painting a very old door and had previously received a 10% discount on the paint purchased at Eastbourne branch.

On asking for the same discount, the request was passed to the manager as my friend had mistakenly picked up his bank card receipt and not the Wickes receipt that showed the breakdown of the 10% discount received before. The manager was quite unfriendly and said that the person who had given the original discount should be 'found' and that there should not be discounts given out like this. In the end there were 3 additional members of staff at the till with the manager asking my friend to justify the original discount. I walked away a couple of times as the manager was quite overbearing and insistent there would be no discount. My friend apologised for not having the right paperwork, but the managers attitude was still unfriendly and abrupt. OK its a community project and the discount would have been about £3, but my friend is acutely aware of not wasting valuable community funding and did not deserve to be treated as if he was trying to get something for nothing.
Its not the discount, it was the attitude of the manager in his insistence the discount should not have been given and making out that my friend was in the wrong that was at fault.

Was charged for donation, when clearly told checkout staff member 'No. ' When looked at receipt ,pointed this out and she tried to say my partner had said yes to it which was untrue , plus was charged twice for one item . Now refund is costing my company through no fault of my own . And no apology given for her mistakes. Very bad customer service.

Clemilson and is son, has made an absolute fantastic job of fitting my new kitchen, very professional, tidy and excellent attention to detail, thank you so much Clem!

I needed help in finding some bricks. I approached a member of staff whose name, I later discovered, is Daryl
He went out of his way to help
me (I am disabled and not in the first flush of youth). He was so kind: helped me find the bricks, fetched a trolley, loaded the bricks, took them through check out with me and then loaded them into my car. He is an absolute asset to the store and next time I visit I know that if I need any help I should feel confident in seeking him out.

We were met in the Hailsham store by Niki who showed us around the kitchens. She was very helpful and informative showing us a variety of units, covering different budgets. She then made us an appointment with Amy, who would visit our home to measure up and design a kitchen for us.
Amy arrived on time.( along with her visit slippers :) ) She was very polite and professional. We were surprised at how much she already knew about our request. Obviously there is good communication between the colleagues.
Amy measured up the kitchen, listened to our requests, asked questions and suggested ideas. She confirmed that she could design a kitchen for us for our low budget. She made us an appointment to meet her in store to discuss her designs.
Amy sent an email to us within a few days to say that the design was ready and attached a computer design of what our kitchen could look like. She explained that once we ordered we could ask Wickes to hold our order for up to 6 months, until we were ready.
We met Amy in store. We discussed her designs, which were brilliant! and made a few alterations. Amy was able to show us the units in 'real life' so we could visualise how we would best use the space.
We are very pleased with the design, especially the upgrades, and can't believe that it fitted in our budget.

This review relate to the conversion of a utility room to a shower room. The process began with a visit to Wickes Hailsham on 14th January a design was agreed and an order for the flat pack units etc placed and paid for in full two week later.
The project did not complete until 1st June when Carl arrived to apply silicone to the joints. The skip was removed from the front lawn two days later.
It has been difficult to decide upon a star rating, as the whole project was a mixture of good and bad experiences.
Bad Experiences
Wickes failed to arrange delivery of all the components, some had to be ordered by ourselves during the final week of installation when boxes were opened; for some, refunds were made and we ordered these directly from the supplier. Others were new and were additional to the maximum costing referred to below. The basin delivered was the wrong model, its replacement on arrival was found to be damaged and had to be re-ordered.
We were nor given an itemised quotation by Wickes' nominated Contractor; instead we were given a maximum costing which excluded some items that hadn't been allowed for.
Good Experiences.
The standard of of the components and workmanship was excellent and the shower room is excellent
All the trade staff involved Stephen, Alfie, Liam, Reuben and Carl were excellent and I will happily call on their services again but only to a fixed price and agreed programme.
Conclusion
Due to the foregoing, deciding on a star rating was difficult and a three may be generous and I certainly would not use or recommend Wickes in the future

Our kitchen was transformed by Luke who was our installer. After an initial introduction phonecall he came and discussed with us what we required, which included a new ceiling, flooring in 3 rooms and new internal doors throughout the property.
He explained all aspects of the installation including plumbing and electrics and came up with excellent suggestions and solutions.
Even though we were away for the majority of the install we were kept up to date with the progress. On returning we were thrilled with our dream kitchen, flooring and internal doors.

With Amy Hudson it got so much better for me. Once I had dealt with buying my new kitchen, I told Amy I'm worried about kitchen fitters and she said "Alfie, I have the very best one for you." Well, Amy was right! His name is Luke Dash (South Coast Kitchens) and Tony his working partner. Fantastic fitters from start to finish, so prompt, very tidy, they both worked so hard and in 3 days took the old kitchen out and put the new one in. Plus Luke made a fantastic job of re-routing my pipework underneath the sink, no more nasty pipe work, special mention to Luke's tiler, Dave. Like Luke and Tony, Dave's also a professional of his trade! If any one needs a kitchen or a bathroom fitted, I really recommend Luke Dash and Tony, both great guys!

Having read Amy Hudson's reviews, I plucked up the courage to to enquire about buying my very first kitchen in 80 years. I am so glad I met Amy, she designed and managed everything for me, so she is so professional and friendly and put me at ease straight away. Also Niki, a trainee designer - what fantastic help she provided me with! Niki chose my units and colour scheme, she chose my flooring and picked out the right wall tiles for me. They both organised my delivery dates on everything for me and Niki always made me a nice cup of coffee! I can never thank Amy and Niki enough, for going above and beyond for me. A big thank you to you both!

We were looking for a kitchen which did not break the bank and Niki went through the options with us and sent us a design within a day or two. She made the changes we wanted and sent another design and quote with a different range. She was very patient and made great suggestions. Thank you Niki

After our initial meeting with Amy Hudson we did not bother to look elsewhere as we felt Amy really understood what we were looking for. Amy listened to what we wanted to achieve and gave helpful, friendly and practical advice. We have not yet received the kitchen so cannot comment about the final product.

Made an order for delivery of nearly £1000. Was informed the night before (1900hrs) by text that delivery would be on 24/4 between 1300 and 1800hrs.
Had made arrangements with staffing and creatures to accommodate this. Received a phonecall from Antonio (manager at the Hailsham branch) that the lorry had broken down so unlikely the load would be delivered until after 1500hrs and may be later than 1800hrs. I was then told later that the driver could not fulfil the order? More likely he wouldn’t work past his finish time. Antonio then called and stated that the earliest delivery date would be a week later on the 1st of May. He did apologise but this seemed to be purely functional rather than genuine. He then said he with refund the £35 delivery charge. However then he added that he couldn’t do this but with do it later and ring me when it was done. He didn’t and the delivery charge has NOT been refunded. Just received a text today 30th April telling me that delivery will be between 0700 and 1300hrs tomorrow. This is appalling as we have a very busy day tomorrow as it is the start of the Bank Holiday weekend and a delivery will inconvenience our customers, plus the fact that the staff and builders are not available tomorrow. All in all very poor service. I was reluctant to order from Wickes as last time there were items missing that never arrived but I was still charged for them. This time I have been inconvenienced and with little recourse. Why do Wickes wait until the night before to confirm delivery times? I accept the lorry breakdown was not necessarily anyone’s fault but why then do I then have to wait for a week. Surely fulfilling the order should have been a priority. I have another large order but based on this I shall be using a rival company to receive my monies. Poor. One star because I can’t give zero. Order number 695160430.
Update - delivered today at 0845hrs. Driver was very professional (not directly employed by Wickes). Thankfully it was delivered just before our customers started arriving. Wickes have responded to this review but with the usual ‘not our expected service’ phrases and ‘we’ll look into this further comments’ but like most of the companies that reply nothing ever happens.
I was correct in my summary of their customer service. Sean gave me the usual flannel. I then received an email asking for more information which I provided.
As of the 4th of May I received an email from Amy K. More sorry flannel but nothing of any substance, basically to sum it up stating that the delivery was now done so there you go.
As of today the 5th May still no refund of the delivery charge as promised and no effort at any goodwill or appeasement.
I suggest to Wickes that they send Sean and Amy K on a customer service course. It’s easy to cut and paste the usual platitudes but you can’t get away from your appalling customer relations. As for Antonio just shows the standard you’re dealing with.
It’s now the 17th of June and no refund, no apology, nothing which goes to show that the responses to reviews on here are just lip service and nothing happens/improves/gets resolved. Appalling.
