I purchased an installation from the Edmonton branch, the designer Rowshan was dishonest with his approach, which has left me out of pocket. The designer/Wickes is so dishonest and lack integrity that the designer blamed the 1st installer saying he is wrong that the designer measured incorrectly. Turns out the designer was wrong. He then blamed me saying I refused to accept what he said (directly calling me a liar). He then blamed the 2nd installer for not factoring the toilet. When the incompetent one is the designer. He fraudulently mis-sold me the service to get his commission and dropped the bomb on the day of the installation, after the installers ripped everything out! He knew what strategic tactics he was playing

1. He came to carry out a home visit in Feb and scope the job. First question I asked are, timelines of completion. He said 4-6 weeks after the installer has visited. The installer started the 27th May (3 months wait) add the installation maybe over 4 months. I am out of pocket by 6k in rental income.

2. I informed him of what I wanted, which was a kitchen installation and toilet (The toilet is part of the kitchen). He said that can be done. He took pictures and measurements. Ask me to come in store to do the finance, design and pick my goods for delivery.

3.. Chasing for updates all the time. 1st installer came 3rd week. The installer came and said the measurements were wrong. The designer will need to measure again and re-design. The designer said he doesn't know what the installer is talking about, when he came the 2nd time. Turns out the designer didn't measure correctly Another 2 weeks goes by and I chased again. Designer said he is looking for another installer for me. Now it's the 4th visit (lack of competence here). Second installer didn't have the design and details for the toilet. Contacted the designer and he said he gave the information to the installer.

4. Prior to this I received a generic email with the timelines of 4 months. Contacted the designer to confirm if this is true, as I will cancel my agreement. He said it's a generic email and he has informed the installer to do it sooner (A lie).

5. 12th May the installer didn't turn up and I took A/L. Chased the whereabouts of the installer and nobody could find him. Next day I received a call to say he is running behind on another job. Then I was informed by another, his van and tools were stolen! Installer eventually turned up 27th May.

6. On the 27th May 09:30, the installer asked me (the customer) do I have the designs and measurements. To which I said no and I will contact the designer for it. The designer responded at 4pm to say he has sent the plans across and it doesn't include the toilet. I will need to pay for this separately. This is where I was conned and mis-sold, so he can get his commission. He was told of the requirement of the job at the visit, he was told this when I went in store and put the finance in for both, as one job and one price, because it is one job. They clearly don’t understand the meaning of scope of work. On the day of the installation he said it's not included after the installer has ripped out the kitchen and the toilet! Now I don't have a functional kitchen and toilet and I won't be paying extra for the toilet, which I scoped in from the start. A job which costs 10k (which is over priced and a rip off to being with), will cost approx 20k. The installer added their extra over 5k and Wickes have said I need to pay for the toilet separately. Avoid Wickes who are a dishonest company. I have contacted the customer relations team. I now need to contact the ombudsman, trading standards and seek legal advice for being mis-sold a service. My kitchen is very small, you can only have 2 people in the kitchen and you cannot have a door which opens out. The toilet was once a store cupboard in the kitchen. It's small! you have a small sink and toilet. That's all you can fit in the space.

- Wasted time in complaining internally/ externally, then seeking legal advice for court. Everyone posting reviews, should report Wickes to Trading standards & FCA. Time for TS to get involved.
- google search complaints on Wickes you will see a lot of people are complaining for poorly fitted installations, delays and legal cases against Wickes. If you don't have the money, go to the bank for a loan and go to an accredited local trader. Less issues and cheaper.

Update 1- Edmonton store manager has said they do not accept liability. If I book an appointment with her, she 'may be able to accommodate the installation' So it's an 'accommodation'. I really can't make this up even if I tried!
Update 2- Tiles were delivered damaged.

I redesigned my en-suite with Wickes and was pleased with the overall experience. Alannah in the Edmonton store was extremely helpful, competent and friendly throughout the design and purchase process. The installation process was also very smooth with experienced and friendly installers. I also appreciated the service provided by the customer support centre, where you are provided with a named individual for any questions or issues. The only issue I had was with the delivery of the bathroom and materials, as I had to rearrange a number of deliveries due issues with couriers. Nevertheless I found the end-to-end service to be very convenient and would use Wickes again for future projects

We had a meeting with Alannah De Leon at Wickes Edmonton recently and we have to say the service was excellent. She listened to what we had to say, came up with solutions to every problem we had and was not pushy to sell but gave good advice and solutions. It was a pleasure to work with such a great professional consultant.

Great service, reasonable price and good product. I had great service from a young lady called Kiaya who was very efficient and had a lot of good ideas and advice. I don't like paying stupid prices and after a lot of research went with Wickes.

The kitchen experience with Jadeen Delanbanque at the Edmonton branch was very good. She was well prepared, helpful, quick and listened to us. We liked that she wasn't "salesy" and didn't always try to upsell us, plus she was very patient when we changed our mind at various points. Email communication could have been a bit better, but otherwise Jadeen was brilliant and the kitchen turned out very well - thank you!

Martin in the Edmonton store was super helpful this evening. I came to collect a click and collect order and had ordered the wrong thing. He helped me find what I needed, refunded my original items and helped me carry my items to the my car. Thank you!

In January my husband and I decided to go with Wickes for our bathroom on the understanding that this was a reputable company and everything would be handled in one place from start to finish. Wow, was this a gross misunderstanding. Firstly we had to chase the so called “customer experience” team to actually get installation dates booked. This team were supposed to project manage the job but transpired to be a waste of space. I was never able to reach our designated coordinator on the phone when problems started to arise. They did, however, call me some six weeks after the project was due to be completed wondering why they didn’t have a completion certificate on file. The appointed installer repeatedly didn’t turn up and, on the days he did, he would spend swathes of the day elsewhere. A 10 day job turned into a month and he left without finishing. Another three months went by before a remedial installer was able to finish what we had paid for. The customer relations team are robotic, patronising and answer perhaps one in three questions. I would say you have to be a particularly unhappy person to have anything to do with Wickes customer services, being actively complicit in the stress of customers that simply want a service they have paid for. Inevitably this company will go under, which already seems to be underway given the redundancies announced. Please don’t bother reaching out to me, as responses on Trustpilot simply give the illusion that something is being done, when it’s actually a self-serving attempt to save face publicly. Spend your money elsewhere.

She kept us update with regard to deliveries and product stock if there were any issues or changes. I would 100% recommend to anyone.

She listened patiently to me and took notes thereby ensuring, she fully understood my requirements. This came into play:-

I encountered a few problems with the central customer service re: parts, delivery issues + a problem with the 1st potential installer: whom I rejected because of his unprofessional comments. I requested for another installer – to be given the run around over several days. ‘We’ had reached an impasse: the saving grace was Jadeen, who went over and above to resolve the issues. She resolved matters within a couple of days.

Jadeen is the epitome of professionalism and competence which was reflected from the initial design, purchase and completion. I would highly recommend her.

I must all commend the 2nd installer: highly skilled; worked diligently and was very respectful. I absolutely love my kitchen and am very grateful to Jadeen for project managing the process and also to the 2nd installer for the great craftsmanship.

I have an existing Wickes kitchen that I was relocating to a new room with a very awkward layout. I needed to re-use cupboards, get some new ones and rework the layout. I'd tried a few times with kitchen designers at another Wickes location but kept getting the runaround because it was a complex redesign.

I had a good experience with Wickes in Edmonton when I initially bought the kitchen so went back to see if they could help. After a false start, I very luckily met with Jadeen Delanbanque.

Jadeen took my ideas and elevated them to something which was both useful and beautiful. She took the time to make sure we reused as much of my original kitchen as possible and made very helpful suggestions on the layout.

We had some back and forth based on feedback from my builder but through the whole process Jadeen has been patient, communicative and extremely competent. I now have a beautiful kitchen and that wouldn't have happened without her.

There were some issues post delivery but these were all handled promptly and efficiently by Jadeen and customer services.

I am a long time builder and kitchen fitter, But when I meet with Jadeen(my Wickes designer) at Wickes Edmonton it was on a cosmic level. She listened my kitchen idea, it was not small (20+units including specific problems). My meeting with her didn't extent more than 30 minutes!!! For me TIME IS MATER! And she sorted out all specific problems. My kitchens are not easy. Definitely, this girl has very good spatial orientation and can solve any task in your project. She saved almost 100% of the storage space. I stand firmly behind her and her colleagues in crafting you a perfect project! I recommend you to meet them, no time will be wasted!

We came to Wickes for a bathroom consultation. We had requirements and a rough idea of what we wanted but we really leaned on Wickes for their expertise. We were assigned Jadeen Delanbanque as our consultant. From the beginning she listened to our needs, captured everything we wanted and demonstrated empathy. Jadeen is extremely knowledgeable, guiding and probing where necessary. There was a lot we hadn't even considered and she guided us through the process step by step. We felt reassured and grateful for all of her input/recommendations. The design she created pulled together all of our ideas perfectly. In- person, she provided a thorough walk through and adjusted based on our feedback. No question was left unanswered and we learnt a lot from the process. I would definitely work with Wickes again if the opportunity arises, especially Jadeen, she's a credit to her store and we were fortunate to be assigned to her!

Wickes were superb! Clear communication and largely, the whole experience was seamless . We now have a beautiful bathroom, thanks to Wickes and in particular, Jadeen Delanbanque, our bathroom designer. 100 % recommended.
