Riah Bennett was my consultant and with her I achieved far more than I ever expected in getting close to a final plan for my kitchen. About six weeks early!
She understood my budget and the specific scope of my project and stuck precisely to that throughout our conversation.
Riah was delightful to deal with, professional, friendly and entirely knowledgeable about the detail of the products.
I came in, well before I was really ready to put a final plan together - expecting to have an initial chat, pick her brains and then go off and do some more thinking/planning. Instead, we put together pretty much a final shopping list for my kitchen and agreed a schedule for placing my order in a few weeks when I’ll be ready to take delivery.

I called the store yesterday as my local store was showing out of stock for a shed I wanted to buy. Kiera was so helpful - after checking the stock and confirming it was available, she then arranged to have one put aside for me even though I wasn’t able to pay for it over the phone or use click and collect. I didn’t end up coming up (from Newcastle!) because I decided to go with a different shed but Kiera was so helpful, she said it was fine to call again before I set off to make sure everything was ok and I felt confident that I wouldn’t have a wasted journey if I’d gone. Nothing was too much trouble and she was so friendly and polite - she’s an asset to the store. Thanks again Keira!

So far it's been seemless. Riah came to see me at home to measure up. Riah was very patient I must say. Also has great vision and helped us pick out an amazing kitchen. All in all it was a lot easier than I first expected. 3rd Wickes kitchen bought and still won't go anywhere else for one. 👍

We've been toying with the idea for a new kitchen for a few months now & finally took the plunge with Wickes due to their excellent ranges & prices on offer as opposed to their competitors. We chose a Tiverton shaker kitchen in sage green & are looking forward to it being installed around April/May this year. Riah from the Dumfries branch assisted us through the process, measuring & finalising our design making the process nice & easy for us. Very happy customers.

Kim A - needed almost 300 pavers loaded into my pickup, I wasn’t expecting any help to be fair but Kim went above and beyond busting a sweat to help me load them all, great service 👍

Awful!!. Went and purchased 3 doors from wickes, due to being unable to get them in car I told them someone would be down later that day. When I told the woman at the till what doors I was requesting she then billed me for them and needed who was collecting and in what vehicle?. When going to collect nobody knew anything about such an order or who was collecting or what vehicle?!. I had to go through several details and around 10 mins later they were found, thankfully. After receiving them ( 3 doors) I wasn't even offered a hand to get them into vehicle ( several staff around). The next day it was found that 1 of the doors were the wrong size!. Therefore back down to the store to change over. Once there I approached main desk where I was told I could change it ( I had invoice of proof of purchase) but had to go get this myself, when plenty of staff available again!. There was a price difference on invoice after I had changed the door and was happy to pay difference, but charged double this at the tills? ( invoice stated prices so i knew what the difference was as in black and white). I brought up the fact that I knew the door I was changing was slightly dearer ( per invoice ) and was happy to pay difference ( of what I had been charged yesterday for them, as not my error). Kiera the " supervisor " stated she needed details from the person who purchased them ( joiner on my behalf who had finished for day and how i wasn't getting it for nothing!!! The cheek!! I Didn't want it for nothing as all paid for the day prior, happy to pay difference!!). After several failed attempts to get contractor on phone and que starting to form she stated she would do it this once!. Even though was their mistake initially and all 3 doors and prices being on invoices!.
No wonder they get such bad customer reviews. Sad really as it seems to be a customer service incompetence from start to finish and could have easily been rectified without some of the hassle. Save yourself time and hassle along with calls and trips made to store by going ELSEWHERE. 😕

On my first visit I was looking for a design for a new kitching. Riah was very welcoming and talked us through different options. We then decided on the kitchen we wanted. Riah was amazing!! She put t all together so we could see what it would look like and it looked amazing!! We then left and my husband and I had a chat about it. So we decided to go for it. We went back to see Riah and she was just as friendly as the first time we met her. She put everything together and the kitchen looked fab. So we got a beautiful kitchen at a good price. Riah did all the paperwork and talked us through all the paperwork. Very happy with both visits and Riah was fab so lovely and friendly. I would highly recommend Wicks if you're looking for a new kitchen. So a big thank you to Riah you're a star.

Not entirely sure why I continue to attempt to shop in my local store.
Staff are uninterested in helping customers, polite but unhelpful.

Asking for particular door handles for a kitchen - ‘we don’t sell them in store they are luxury handles’
ok great… would have been lovely to have information on how we could get to purchase instead of staff turning to continue conversation with colleague.

Asking a staff member if something is in stock - ‘not sure best to ask at the desk’

Asking for anything actually - ‘dunno it would be over there (points) if you can’t see it don’t have it’

Really think sales could have been made if staff were more willing to check, order and just generally be more helpful.
