Wickes - Colchester Anmeldelser 

Today we visited the Colchester store, 2nd time in a week, we were looking for a new kitchen which is a lot to think about, we were served by Andrew Lovlee. From the very start Andrew made us feel welcome, he was extremely knowledgeable in the products and it made our search a whole lot easier.
We placed our order today, fingers crossed that it all goes to plan.

Andrew Lovlee did a fantastic job helping redesign my kitchen and bathroom. Completely understood what I was after whilst using his expertise to help perfect the outcome. Communication was spot on from start to finish.

Will be recommending him to others 👍

James worked very hard to craft an excellent refurbishment to our en suite. Site visits, and a number of visits by us to the Colchester Wickes store, to make sure everything was perfectly designed.
Only the window was remaining.
Spires carried out the refurbishment work to the highest possible standard.

The experience of ordering our bathrooms and kitchen from Wickes was fantastic. The designer, Andrew Lovlee couldn't have been more helpful and professional. He was absolutely brilliant and thought of everything so we didnt have to. He liaised with the fitters directly if there was any questions which meant it took all the stress off of us. An incredible designer and a thoroughly lovely man. We couldnt be happier.

45 minutes to park your car, shop, queue up at the tills, pushing a trolley to your car unloading in boot ,stand on steps to tie wood to roof bars.
Return trolley to trolley park.walk back to car and exit car park. Wickes you are having a laugh. A lot of retired customers are not athletes and you should allow 60 - 90 minutes so customers can transverse the large shop to different areas where they wish to shop. There is always a queue at the tills.
I do not want a £100 fine. A good company would probably allow 90 minutes to stop older customers from being fined. A bad company which doesn't care about it's customers won't both to revise the parking time from 45 to 90 minutes.
If the 45 minutes isn't revised to a sensible 90 minutes suggest drive up to Tollgate B & Q a normal company and shop there instead, worry free.

PS there is no computer tablet available at Wickes tills either where you can enter your vehicle registration so as to have longer than 45 minutes parking 🅿️

Lovely shop run by completely unrealistic out of touch management who are certain to lose sales enforcing a 45 minute limitation from the minute you enter the car park to the time you exit the car park.
Wickes suggest you conduct a time and motion study and then when you see 45 minutes is completely out of touch with reality, change the time to 90 minutes.

I have always found the service at Wickes excellent and the staff are always very friendly and helpful.
Visited the store on 2 occasions this week and 2 members of staff were particularly helpful.

We were able to book a design appointment quickly. Having Andrew Lovlee a knowledgeable experienced and innovative person come round to ours made a huge difference.He listened and worked with us creating a great design given the constraints of our bathrooms, existing plumbing, budget and ideas.
The delivery and installation was explained and completed promptly and professionally with any minor glitches handled efficiently and effectively by Wickes.
We are pleased with the quality and finish .

We had a kitchen and bathroom designed by Wickes design Centre Colchester and they were fitted through them, they both turned out as we wanted.

AJ Thomas at Wickes Colchester has been amazing all the way through our kitchen project! From the very first time we met, he understood all of our needs, came up with a fantastic design that we absolutely love and has been super on 'it' for us! He has been so helpful, he has been on hand at any moment we needed him for measurements and questions and has all round just been a lovely guy!! Thank you so so much! We love our new kitchen and couldn't have done it without you! X

I went into Wickes Colchester branch (06/01/26) to enquire about a new kitchen, Andrew Lovlee the Design Consultant I spoke too was very welcoming and talked me through all the available options, arranged a home visit (11/01/26) to come and measure up and survey things, having done that a follow up appointment was made to go into Wickes (13/01/26) and discuss what I had chosen.
On arrival again Andrew was very welcoming, I was offered a tea or coffee, he took me round the show room pointing out what had been chosen, making sure I was happy with design, colour, fixture and fittings, answering any of my questions etc, having put my mind at rest with all my decisions he then went on to explain how things would proceed payment wise, whether I preferred a finance agreement etc.
I came away from Wickes feeling happy with my decision to have opted for them, at no point was there any pressure to buy from them, now look forward to it being fitted.

Excellent customer service from Andrew Lovlee. Time taken to create the perfect kitchen. Trying lots of options and adjusting plans until all was perfect. Would highly recommend

strongly advise thinking twice before ordering from Wickes. This company is not serious about customer service. We ordered our kitchen in the middle of summer, and now it's almost the New Year, yet the work remains incomplete. They frequently schedule appointments and then fail to show up, and when they do come, the installation is often done poorly and not up to standard.
They always find excuses for delays and never complete the work in a timely manner. We deeply regret choosing this company, as there are many other businesses that take their customers more seriously. Overall, I'm disappointed with the service and would caution others before choosing them."

We had a fitted Kitchen installed by Wicks. Supposed to be guaranteed for 2 years. Six months later the mesh storage system jammed open and blocked access to our dishwasher. The warranty team officer told us its is due to wear and tear and we over loaded it, this is totally wrong and the load was under the maximum and I had the evidence but they refused to respond to this and just told me I can complain to the ombudsman. The warranty isn’t worth a light. I would give zero stars if there was an option. Don’t buy from them expecting any kind of aftercare even with a warranty!
So it’s now a month since the reply from wicks to this post and NO ONE has contacted me. This is typical of the kind of services you can expect from the customer care team.

Andrew Lovlee, the design concultant was excellent. He had good ideas, a good eye for details and was also able to take on our ideas and include them in the design. Throughout the project he has been supportive and patient and always with a can do attitude.

I cannot recommend John at the Colchester Wickes store highly enough. My husband and I recently undertook a mini kitchen revamp, and John's support was absolutely instrumental in making the entire process seamless and enjoyable (he also helped us with our kitchen 5 years ago!)

From the initial design consultation to finalizing the last details, John demonstrated unparalleled professionalism, patience, and true expertise. He listened carefully to our vision, offered brilliant, practical suggestions we hadn't considered, and navigated the inevitable challenges of a renovation with ease. He ensured every component was accounted for and scheduled perfectly.

Thanks to John, what could have been a stressful project was instead an exciting collaboration. The communication was excellent, and his attention to detail meant the final design not only met but vastly exceeded our expectations. The new kitchen looks stunning, and it functions perfectly for our family.

If you are considering a kitchen or bathroom project, head straight to Wickes Colchester and ask for John. He is a credit to the team, and we are incredibly grateful for his commitment to delivering such a high-quality result. Five stars are simply not enough!

I found the whole experience from design with AJ to installation with Daron, and the actual fitting with Mike, to be very impressive.
AJ really listened to our needs and ideas, and came up with a great design for our very small kitchen, fitting as much in as he possibly could! Delivery of the kitchen was on time (apart from the splashback, which was delivered one day late by a different company) and we were kept informed during the whole process. We were regularly contacted by the customer service rep to check we were happy throughout.
Daron, the installer, was very responsive to our questions regarding the installation and explained everything clearly to us.
Finally, Mike, who actually fitted the kitchen was great. Kept me fully informed the whole time, was prompt, clean and tidy, and his work (some of which was very fiddley due to it being a listed, beamed building) was completed with skill and expertise.
I'm VERY happy with the finished kitchen and would highly recommend.
