Wickes - Chester Anmeldelser 

I wanted a Kitchen for one of my rental properties so called in the Chester Branch. Lee Prince the Design Consultant had an appointment booked with another customer but still gave me time to start planning the kitchen. The other customers didn't turn up and Lee completed the kitchen and I left the store. He forwarded the plans and gave me a courtesy call to see if I had made a decision. At no time did he hard sell or try make me feel uncomfortable but another problem came up so I never got back to him. I contacted him on the 7th January ( a couple of weeks later ) to go through some changes and he did the changes and I ordered the kitchen.
It looks amazing and ai am really happy with the service I received. Wickes should be very happy with Lee Prince he is excellent.

Had kitchen fitted at cost of £17000 I had problem after problem some have been resolved like broken floor tile dishwasher not level dent on door. I have a list of problems but as of yet not resolved I am getting passed from piller to post no one taking responsibility. Latest update I’ve been passed to progression team told they will contact me within 48hours a week has passed now. I’ve been left with holes in wall pelmet cut too short raw edges and butchered decor panels. I can go on

I needed to change my bathroom to make it more accessible for me as I could no longer manage getting in and out of a bath. My design consultant, Martin Jones from the Chester store, was excellent start to finish. He made sure he understood my accessibility needs and helped plan the bathroom accordingly, making the whole process very easy for me.

Everything was delivered on time, the delivery men were brilliant, couldn’t have done more for me. Everything placed in my flat where I wanted, no issues at all.

I couldn’t have asked for a better fitter. Paul Helm and his team have done a fantastic job on my bathroom. It’s the little things that make such a difference. He even thought to measure my house wheelchair against the new sink so that it would be in a good position for me (I didn’t think of this and was staying elsewhere while the bathroom was done). The whole job was done in 5 days, the floors were hoovered and washed before they left which was a huge help to me. All in all a very smooth process and I would use Wickes again in the future if needed.

Martin was amazing. If you can, have Martin visit your home and manage your project. Fantastic work

Firstly, I was impressed with the personal service and care provided by Design Consultant Karen Byrne who took a very personal interest in my project throughout. Secondly I was very pleased with the fitting of my new kitchen carried out by Alan Skirvington and his colleagues. Thirdly, in tiler Liam Adams, I experienced possibly the best tradesman to ever visit my property. The only negative point was the failure of the warehouse to deliver my units on time; following my representations this was quickly solved with a delivery the following day so no real problem.

This is my personal experience of Wickes for a shower room installation. Many problems experienced. Poor design advice. Poor communication. Stock on order discontinued and had to select alternatives at short notice. Deliveries of stock made on wrong dates. Customer services team difficult to reach and slow to respond. So called "approved installation team" are sub contractors and second rate at best! Items damaged during installation. A request for a site visit by a Wickes employee to discuss installation problems was ignored. A formal complaint was raised against Wickes with photographic evidence but this was lengthy and protracted. I had to threaten involving the ombudsman. I thought I was dealing with a professional company. How wrong I was!!!!

Went into initially browse and bought my dream kitchen I could not have done it without the sales team member Martin Jones at the chester branch. I had previously browsed other big brands wrens/ b and q but the price and the efficiency was second to none. I was very nervous of the big lorry getting up a very narrow lane to my cottage and Martin sorted a small van so no stress and everything was delivered and packed in it's own box. If you haven't looked at wickes you need to you will not regret.. thanks team

Following on from my previous comment about the poor delivery. I do have to comment on the initial design with Martin Jones at the Chester store, to the fitting by Adam and Graham, our installers, the kitchen is exactly what we were after and the layout works really well. Any changes we wanted to make to the design were made by Martin until we were happy with the end result. The installation hit some delivery snags which was so annoying and poorly handled by wickes, but Adam and Graham altered any other installations they had to come back to the house to finish. If there were any issues they returned promptly to rectify them. Overall, not including the delivery issues, which I mentioned in my previous comment and the way it was handled, we are very happy with the finished result.

Fantastic service from start to finish from Martin Jones based out of the Chester Wickes store. Really happy with the kitchen design and the guidance given from start to finish to make the whole process as smooth as possible. Thank you.
We used our own kitchen fitter who was really impressed with the quality of the products as well which is also reassuring.

We bought the kitchen from Wickes just for the service provided by Martin Jones. The moment he did our first initial home visit we knew we would be buying from him. He was very friendly, helpful, professional and supportive in our vision. Visited the Chester store to choose our kitchen - again good range of options available. Our installer Dominic was super. He again was very friendly, professional, very clean- you wouldn't say we were getting the kitchen done. The kitchen is gorgeous and we are so glad we chose wickes. Have been telling anyone who listens to go to Wikes as the customer service is great. Thank you

Karen Byrne was helpful, creative and thoughtful. Our bathroom is tiny. Karen had to pull the stops out to make it work and it does. Cannot wait for it to be all insulated. Very positive experience. Thank you Karen xx

We bought our new kitchen from Lee Prince at their Chester store. Lee was amazing every stage of the kitchen project, from our very first enquiry in store, designing our kitchen, dealing with our telephone queries and changes, a very patient Man. Lee has a wealth of knowledge of all things kitchen and has a wonderful way of explaining everything to his customers. We recommend everyone we know who are looking for a kitchen to deal directly with Lee Prince, an absolutely asset to Wickes. Thank you once again Lee for all your time, we are 100% happy with our Wickes experience and can not rate you high enough.

Local store (Chester) called and asked what I was looking for prior to a virtual design appointment made. I explained a wall (around 2.5 metres) of fitted cupboards with a desk coming out the side for an office. I was told on the 5 minute call £6000 without knowing any measurements, style or design. When I questioned this I was told £3000 of this would be for the fitting. 1 day (2max) worth of work for £3k? Obviously business was not wanted.

Apologise for the long review but these guys deserve every credit!! We have recently purchased a new bathroom from wickes of chester. From start to finish the experience has been faultless. We were allocated a designer to visit our property Lee Prince. Polite and friendly very professional and new his stuff ( asset to the company ).our bathroom was not like for like needing specialist work.The builder allocated was Gerallt Davies and his team. Expectional quality in his workmenship.professional, reliable ,highly recommended to anyone and any of his team . Great customer support from Lee and Gerallt right throughout the job. Any issues resolve straight away👍
