Ordered online received call to say stock was wrong and I would receive a refund that was the 1st of the month then I started to receive messages saying that it was ready to collect good job I rang first as it was a computer error no problem can you issue a refund no! Because they can’t correct the stock problem with the computer but they said that they would get someone to fix it and refund me this was a problem that would keep happening until one day a message came through saying collected? I called again for a fifth time and demanded to speak to a manager after a long time on hold I was left trying to explain the situation and then tell him to fix the computer and refund me eventually he said that the refund was issued however I contacted customer services on the first of the month and had to wait nine days for a response only to hear were sorry but not get any help or answers as a builder of 30 years I have never come across such incompetence a lot of hassle and not worth my time or effort eventually on the sixteenth of the month customer service messages back still with no answers but yes I did receive a sorry
Avoid at all cost I will not return after this

There was a young red haired girl who helped me today when i came in with my husband. She helped us find what we needed and she even laughed at my husband’s bad jokes. She was very lovely, polite and she did not stop smiling she was a very pleasant to be around.

I went to wickes in bishops stortford today and was served by Sally, she was very helpful and friendly, will defo be returning

Upon returning for a second visit today to the Bishop's Stortford branch, I urgently needed more ballast working late into the evening. It was 1940pm and the ballast pallet bay empty, and young Harry the assistant was helping another customer get some items from the stock area. I thought the worst as it approached 1950pm and I needed to ask Harry the same request - please can you get me X10 bags of ballast from the back area. He checked and confirmed there was some. But he wasn't trained for the fork lift, and customers aren't allowed back there. I was preparing for the 'sorry, please come back tomorrow ' but no! Harry took my trolly and loaded me up the 10 in 5 minutes. Really admired his attitude and de deserves recognition for helping customers out so close to closing time. I'd have been stranded without his help at near on 8pm as I had left site with concrete going off and would have been a nightmare if it wasn't for Harry....thank you!

Excellent service from Matthew at Bishop's Stortford, Branch. I am a Artist who had quite afew paints needing made up and l found him to go the extra mile!

Came to Bishop’s Stortford and Neil helped me. He was so funny, kind and helpful. I went back the next day to finish my project and he was just as kind. He did make me laugh. At the till I was also assisted by Soz who was lovely too.

Amazing service from Connor. My fence and it's post were damaged and needing replacing but didn't know how and this chap walked me through it and it's now standing strong. Was shocked to learn he's not a manager with all the knowledge he has.

Had a wasted journey to my local Wickes to buy a garden item. On the website, it said that the store (Bishop's Stortford) had 20 of these in stock. When I got to the store, no sign of any, so the lady at the till looked it up: yes she said, it shows 20 in stock. She then asked one of the other chaps at the counter, who said, oh, no, we haven't got any of those, (he was confident enough that he didn't go and look). How can a store operate properly with such poor stock control? There is no point in having stock levels available to check on the website, if they are not accurate.
(On the positive side, I have to say that the till lady, was friendly and helpful)

I found the whole experience really good. From the initial survey through to choosing the bathrooms and the fitting itself, the customer service was excellent throughout. I had a few minor issues, but they were fixed straight away with no hassle.

The customer service team also called me several times during the process to make sure everything was going smoothly and staying on track, which was a really nice touch. I also had a direct number for the team whenever I needed anything, and it was great being able to speak to an actual person straight away.

Lastly, my fitter was amazing — professional, friendly, and did a fantastic job.

First time buyer with zero clue on how to renovate bathroom and kitchen. Hassan bent backwards to help me in the most honest way. Endless patience, humble and friendly personality I would go again even if the price was higher.

I saved money I couldn't have saved had it not been for him.

Often is about who you deal with rather than what company.

I would recommend friends to go to Wickes mainly because of Hassan.
Give this man a raise!

Hasan is an excellent designer and we now have two bath/shower rooms that make very good use of the space available, with no unsightly gaps. The Wickes furniture is well made and should last many years. Why not five stars? Unfortunately, there were several errors in the delivery of furniture and fittings, which almost caused the fitters to lose a day. However, customer care staff did everything possible to keep the work going without interruption, so thanks to them also. But it was stressful.
Incidentally, we used our own fitters, with whom we had been very impressed in the past. Recommended.

I needed help replacing a kitchen sink pipe that had been misthreaded. I asked at the counter if someone could advise between 2 products. So glad I did, because I met Connor (aka employee of the month!) he looked at the products, took my old pipe and with magic hands unscrewed the pipe! Well, I was gobsmacked, having spent a depressing evening spraying it with wd40 and blowing on it with a hairdryer all thanks to you tube. They did miss out on the sale of said pipes although I did buy some plumbing putty. But they gained a loyal customer. Give that guy a promotion or a pay rise. Very cool.

Always a pleasure to visit Wickes B/Stortford, usually have lots of stock, fair prices and staff are always very pleasant.

Conor was extremely approachable, kind, helpful and knowledgeable during my MIL’s visit. She was very happy with the service he provided.

Tried to design and book a kitchen through wickes, had multiple issues throughout the process, delivery for the wrong kitchen was arranged, called 4 times to cancel the delivery due to design delays, they still tried to deliver the wrong kitchen. Called 4 weeks ago to cancel and obtain my 10% deposit back, after calling 9 times to chase, I still don’t have my deposit back due to ‘IT issues’ because of a proof of delivery of a kitchen I never got. Would not recommend in any case, looking forward to when I get my deposit back for a service I did not receive.
