Wickes - Bexhill Anmeldelser 

Well this is my third review as the saga is still on going. The bathroom that we decided to order and designed from Wickes started in February it was finished in June after a lot of problems. The Plummer has been back a few times since then to sort out a few problems. Now we have a toilet cistern that doesn’t work properly. So we call the customer service number. Tell them our problem she then couldn’t find the item on our invoice. We then told her it never arrived with the order and that I had to drive to our local Wickes and pick up a cistern as our Plummer was right in the middle of putting the toilet in John Haynes our bathroom designer forgot to order it. Went into the store to pick it up John was no where to be seen and was told he’d gone to the loo. (Convenient!)one of his work colleagues gave this box with no paperwork and said this is the toilet cistern. Now we are having a problem with getting it replaced. No one has got back to us for over a week now. Usual rubbish customer service as no one ever gets back to you. I recommend don’t buy from Wickes. They have been a nightmare for us.

I had a kitchen designed by George Masterton in the Bexhill branch, this guy is a superstar. He designed the whole thing at light speed and was 100% professional.

I have been going to Wickes ever since they opened it in Bexhill on sea.
There's a young lady called Emma who has been there a long time who is always willing to help and advice.
The staff in general are helpful as well.

I purchased kitchen items (cabinet, drawer, washer-dryer, and plinth) for £1757 from the Wickes Bexhill store in early August 2025, expecting delivery by August 15. The items never arrived, and my experience with their customer service has been extremely poor.

Due to a staff error, my order was placed under a previous owner's name, causing confusion. When I inquired, store staff and manager Alan were unhelpful, rude, and accused me of deliberately using another account for a trade discount, which was untrue. Customer service refused to assist, citing GDPR, despite my payment proof. A manager eventually promised a refund , but no refund has been processed

Additionally, I was overcharged—similar items on Wickes’ website total ~£800. This raises concerns about pricing transparency, possibly intentional. The ordeal has caused financial hardship and stress, with no resolution despite multiple calls and visits.

Wickes’ handling of this issue—unprofessional staff, poor communication, and failure to deliver or refund—is unacceptable. I’ve escalated to their head office and may involve Trading Standards. Please avoid .

We ordered our kitchen from Wickes because of other people's recommendations. Designer George was absolutely fantastic and took us through it all the way to being finished. And also checked we were happy with the progress. The fitter Paul was recommended by George, and we were over the moon with his attention to detail and professional workmanship. We had to wait a further week for the quartz worktop to be made and installed. But it was worth the wait. It's absolutely stunning and we couldn't be happier. Well done Wickes. You couldn't have done more 😡👌

Abysmal. Order according to DX on vehicle. Tiler arranged, 1 hour later sorry problem won’t be here today…
Wickes out rules are we refund you in about a week…. I will collect from store, ok then we will refund you in a week….,
Attitude of moron on phone beyond words, you can write to us and fill in a form to speak to a manager…..

We paid £18K for a new bathroom and kitchen from Wickes. Two different installation teams with varying levels of quality. The kitchen fitters had to return multiple times to fix issues such as failed floor (click LVT), protruding sockets from tiles, different grout finishes and other issues I cannot remember. 12-months in and the floor has failed for a 2nd time, likely due to the fact zero prep was done (which I even questioned at the time but was assured it was fine). I'm currently waiting for Wickes customer services to come back with a resolution. With regards to the bathroom, the fitters were great and had been with Wickes for many years. Unfortunately the bath sealant failed just over 12-months in. I contacted Wickes customer support who re-buffed my email and stated that sealant is only designed to last 12-months. I'm not sure what planet they're on as with the several kitchen and bathroom installations I've had over the years I've never seen the sealant fail after 12-months. I was told tough luck and they closed the case. I thought I'd try contacting the original bathroom installers and they immediately said they'd pop over and take a look. They were surprised it had failed and removed the bath panel to find some bolts were not fully tightened leading to excess bath movement and hence the seal failed. They fixed it there and then. Granted this should not have happened but the installers were on it straight away and sorted the issue. However, I feel completely let down by the Wickes customer service team who I feel judged this case incorrectly. A bath seal should not fail after 12-months and they should have investigated the fault. I was lucky that the installers were genuinely a nice team and were able to remedy. If anyone is ever thinking of using Wickes for a bathroom or kitchen install I'd think long and hard about your options. I personally will never be using their service again and will stick with an independent fitter.

So we are 3-months down the line and still no further with getting our floor fixed.

Wickes have acknowledged the flooring needs to replaced and we have been waiting for the fitters to sort it.

I asked Wickes what was taking so long and they did not know and suggested I contact the installer.

Sadly, Wickes have little to no control over the installers they use and their warranty customer support is lacking any sort of care or quality control. I am having to do all the leg work and I'm the one left living with a faulty kitchen.

Anyone reading this please AVOID spending your money Wickes and instead find a good independent installer worth their salt who can provide a quality install with a decent level of customer service.

Just want to do a huge shout out to George Masterton who has designed an amazing kitchen for me! He was at all times extremely professional and really quick getting the initial ideas over to me to look at.
When I visited to select the products and fittings he was helpful and didn't overwhelm me....or ask technical questions.
A very positive experience and can't wait to get the kitchen fitted!

Steve the Manager at Bexhill shop needs to step in and calm a situation rather than ignore and step in once it’s gone to late , first lesson in retail management discuss in private and don't let it escalate and you won’t be getting named and shamed on Trustpilot could also do with not judging folk on their accents wicks loss and B&Q gain

Kylie listened carefully to what we wanted to see in our bathroom and came up with a design which suited and worked for us, We had to chase up the exact starting date, but when it came,Pete and Tony installed the bathroom we wanted. Result!
Date of experience was 22 and not 02 as the autofill insists on putting in

I visited the store over the bank holiday weekend and following selecting items for my next project I spoke with a member of staff Aaron who was extremely helpful. Although the store was busy I received excellent service from Aaron who is a credit to his company.

We popped into Wickes Bexhill to have a look at kitchen ideas where Vicky was an amazing help! Arranged a free home visit kitchen design which we fell in love with and it came in below budget too!! Great customer service. Vicky was so friendly and helpful! We will be going back to her when we need our bathroom done.

Andy - the in-store designer at Wickes in Bexhill - has been brilliant. He came to our flat and offered amazingly practical solutions to the challenges we faced. Throughout the whole process Andy has been friendly, approachable, professional and creative with a difficult space for our kitchen

I needed materials to hang a shelf. I spoke to Ben who was very helpful and showed me where everything was as well as giving me advice on what sort of brackets and fixings I needed. Overall it was a positive experience from all the staff I spoke to at the store.

We had our first kitchen design meeting today with Andy at the Bexhill branch. We were blown away by the professionalism and knowledge of our designer. Andy made the whole process enjoyable and simple. Highly recommend!

I spend a lot of money in Wickes while doing renovations. Very disappointed that they did not allow me to return 3 unused door latches in original packaging unopened for an exchange without a receipt, within 28 days. Surly staff, unwelcoming environment. Will be the last time I will shop at Wickes.

Asked this wonderful gentleman if he thought a 2.4m piece of wood would fit in my car. He was busy at the time and immediately stopped what he was doing.He carried the wood to my car to check for me, he was the most amazing, friendly, thoughtful member of staff I have ever experienced. He even came outside to check I was ok getting the other 2 pieces of wood in my car. Cannot thank Aaz enough, wonderful man.

Vicky is a credit to Wickes - she did a home visit to measure up and discuss a new kitchen with me. She was punctual, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and professional. She answered all my questions and made helpful suggestions about how to solve any problems my small, odd shaped kitchen presented. I would have had no hesitation in buying a kitchen from Vicky, but unfortunately Wickes don't stock the kitchen I wanted.

I am a nervous and shy person.
Usually my wife sorts things out for me but on this occasion she was ill so I came to the store.
I was in a bit of a panic but Emma was so kind and helpful she put me at eas and I can't thank her enough for her professionalism.

Emma at Bexhill was amazing!
After a disastrous leak in our bathroom we had to rip the whole room out! As it is our only bathroom time was of the essence and to save time I went to Wicks Bexhill on a Saturday to get the majority of the materials so my builder could start first thing on the Monday morning! I found myself with a list in my hand written by a builder that may as well have been written in Chinese. He said to me “don’t worry just go in there and give it to someone and they’ll know what to get”. I may add… it was a BIG list! So I went in and with my two children in tow went to look for someone. We found a guy who took one look (with wide eyes) at the list and said “I’ll go get Emma for you” “she’ll know what to do”! In steps Emma confidently and precise who marched us up and down the store grabbing everything on the list and adding it all to the three large trolleys and one small basket! She even took us through a separate till to manage it all herself and then even helped us out to the van with it all. Thank you Emma! I hope your branch look after you as much as you look after them.
