The bracelet that I ordered was exactly as described on the website and is well made. What really stood out for me was the fantastic service and high level of consideration that I was given as a customer. Poppi was really helpful.

I have shopped instore many times whilst visiting Whitby, decided on a watch I liked and Hammonds popped up, it was in the sale too!! Arrived beautifully packaged and on the date given.

Ordered a Norqain skeleton. It was on backorder so I paid a deposit. When it came in, I didn't pay the balance immediately and they sold it out from under me. I was promised the watch would be sent within 10 days. After 25 days I cancelled the order. Over 20 days later and the order is cancelled and the balance payment was refunded but the deposit was not. Their customer service person who promised "you will have a very different experience" has ignored almost every message from me. And yes, they were polite and reasonable. Ultimately had to dispute the charge,

ordered the item in Dec2024, only rec'd it in May 2025.
Comms from W Hamond was very poor, I had to chase for updates on the where-abouts of the item.
No emails to keep me informed & when it finally arrived, no apology or offer of a partial refund.

NOTE - 'W Hamond' and 'C.W. Sellors' are the same company. The items, descriptions and photos are identical on each. Not sure why they have two totally different websites, it seems a bit deceptive.

On to the website: The photos, considering they say everything is "crafted within our very own workshops" are very poor. You cannot see any detail and no items are shown being worn for scale...

I'm wary of this company to say the least.

I had to wait a long time for my Whitby Jet pendant, but when it arrived I was extremely pleased, it was worth the wait.

A massive thank you to the jeweller, Michael, who resized the ring I purchased. We visited the shop on our last day in Whitby, just a few short hours before our train departed and I purchased the Dracula signet ring. It was too big, so had to be resized. I fully expected it would need to be sent to me by post because there was so little time left before our train, but I was very pleasantly surprised by his quick and skillful work. I received a call that the ring was ready for collection not long after and was able to wear it home that very same day. The best part is that you would never even know it had been resized! Masterful work by a professional and talented jeweller.

Big thanks as well to the lady who served us on the tills as well! Sorry I never got your name, but thank you for all your assistance!

All in all, this was a wonderful experience, a treat, and a highlight of my time in Whitby.

Very pleased with my purchase. Beautifilul quality watch and fantastic service.

The watch I ordered was not delivered and according to FedEx will NOT be delivered and is being sent back to W Hammond. I have not received a response from Hammond so will have to start a dispute with my Credit Card Company.

Ordered Mondale wall clock .It was dispatched and delivered very promptly.It was very well packed and I am very pleased with the item.I got correspondence from c.s Lewis about my order which was a bit confusing however they explained this was a sister company.Very happy to receive wall clock in perfect order.

Really great service and their sister company CW Sellors were great in getting me some Montblanc cufflinks that proved rather difficult to source. Great communication at all stages of my order and as soon as the cufflinks came into stock they send them out ASAP and I received them within 1 working day
