Amazing course materials, Very easy to understand and easy to book and cancel test days

Walbrook failed to deliver my course as promised, despite students raising concerns about the extremely poor academic, administrative, and pastoral support.

Despite promising changes, halfway through my second year (May 2025), they announced that all online undergraduate programmes were being withdrawn as they couldn’t guarantee service delivery. It is now the end of August, and my student loan hasn’t been refunded as agreed.

The whole withdrawal process has been chaotic and disorganised. I had a formal complaint mishandled, which resulted in me being paid compensation.

The delays and disruption to my life and the lives of other students have been significant. In many cases, students have found their academic careers and graduation delayed by years, as they are unable to or are struggling to transfer to different institutions.

I am extremely disappointed with my whole experience at Walbrook, and I can only describe the service I received as shambolic.

I studied with them before they were acquired by IU, and they used to be excellent.

Many of the positive reviews you will see relate to their on-campus degrees and professional qualifications, which are delivered in a completely different way to their online courses.

If you are thinking of studying for an online degree with Walbrook, I would strongly urge you to reconsider. My experience has been genuinely dreadful, and for much of it, I felt isolated, unsupported, and alone.

Do yourself a favour and sign up with the Open University or an institution that actually cares for and supports its students.

I recently completed my Level 6 Diploma in Advanced Financial Advice with Walbrook )London Institute of Banking & Finance) and found the whole experience to be excellent. The study support was clear, straightforward and very easy to follow, which made the process smooth and manageable throughout. The resources provided were intuitive and well-structured. Overall, a very positive experience which I would highly recommend.

Over the course of my career, I have completed most of my financial services qualifications through LIBF/Wallbrook. From the very first module, I found their learning materials to be exceptionally clear, practical, and easy to engage with. Complex topics were broken down into manageable sections, supported by examples that made the content feel directly relevant to day-to-day client work.

Their exam process is equally impressive – well-structured, fair, and designed to test not just theoretical knowledge but how it can be applied in real-world scenarios. This approach made the study process feel genuinely valuable, and I could see the direct benefit in my professional advice work.

I’ve been consistently impressed with both the quality of their resources and the support available throughout my studies. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend LIBF/Wallbrook to anyone serious about building a strong and practical foundation in financial services. As a footnote I started out with CII but I found LIBF to be an easy way to learn and I switched the remainder of my qualifications to LIBF.

I recently completed the Certificate in International Trade Risk (CITR) with LIBF, part of Walbrook Institute London, and it has been a truly rewarding experience. The course content was comprehensive, practical, and highly relevant to today’s global trade environment. The learning support and resources provided were excellent and easy to navigate. I would highly recommend LIBF to anyone looking to advance their expertise in trade and transaction banking.

My experience has been really good. The content was very informative, to the point related to topics and with good user interface.

My experience with Walbrook (formerly LIBF) has been deeply disappointing and frustrating. I was withdrawn from my course without any clear or fair reason, despite fulfilling my academic responsibilities. Afterward, I was promised a refund in writing — but to this day, I’ve received nothing.

What’s worse is that they now ignore all communication. I’ve sent multiple emails, tried to call, and followed up for weeks — with no reply, no explanation, and no refund. Their phone line often doesn’t work, and no one replies to emails. This is unacceptable behavior from any institution, especially one involved in financial education.

This situation has wasted my time, disrupted my academic path, and caused financial stress, as I now need the refund to pay for another university. I also still haven’t received my Certificate of Higher Education, which I’m fully entitled to.

Sat Financial Planning in Retirement exam. Easy study material, good structure and interesting way to be examined. The tech behind it also worked, which is great.

Really pleased with the course. Even though it was challenging I'm glad I was able to push myself to get over the line.
Course material all came very promptly

Recently took LIBF's Pay Cert course, it's well designed for someone who's new to the payments world. Probably, more designed for Product Managers, Product Owners and someone in seniority roles.

CITF was an amazing learning experience, and it will not be the last one with Walbrook

My learning journey with Walbrook has been inspirational. Despite having several setbacks that sometimes threatened to derail my progress, I have had great support from my tutor Wendy Chowne, and the Walbrook team. Would definitely recommend them as a learning provider.

Despite multiple calls and follow-ups over the past few days, I have received little to no clear response from your team regarding the course fee structure, payment procedure, and the agreed exemption modules. This lack of communication has made it increasingly difficult for me to proceed with confidence.

Based on my experience so far, and after reviewing feedback from others, I have decided to withdraw from pursuing my education with Walbrook Institute London. I will be continuing my academic journey with another institution that offers more reliable support and clearer communication.

I want to be transparent: the repeated delays, lack of responsiveness, and instances of your staff ending calls mid-discussion have left me disappointed and disheartened. I now realize that this experience has been a valuable early lesson in what to expect from an institution—and unfortunately, it has not been a positive one. I appreciate your team member ‘xxxx’ honesty; she was right—this institute is not the right fit for me.

Thankfully, I have not made any financial commitment yet. I now have the opportunity to invest my hard-earned money in an institution where I feel respected and supported.

The content in the courses is up to date with Industry practises and this helps you to apply principles learnt easily. I enjoy the flexibility in the study model, which allows me to study at my own pace. I have completed 2 Certificates so far and look forward to my next.

Really good learning material provided for CeMAP, I like how some topics offer videos/audio and the knowledge tests are so helpful to understand where you are at with your studies. Cannot fault the experience and already looking at a new course to take. Would encourage anyone to use their services for learning.

Such a bad organisation as a whole. Terrible at contact via phone and email, problems get totally ignored or danced around.

I recently completed a certification through Walbrook and was impressed by the quality of the study materials and overall structure of the course. Website and topics were accessible and in an understandable format, but not enough past papers or even any available to purchase.

I've recently completed CeRER & CeMAP with LIBF and am taking DipFA now. I've found all the course materials to be excellent, and the customer support has always been great. I've taken several online-invigilated exams and the set up is easy to follow and works well.
I'd recommend LIBF to any aspiring advisers, the course content has prepared me well for real-world client scenarios, both with mortgage and equity release cases.
