For a few years we had a nice cooperation, but then their accountant department started re-invoicing orders that had already been paid for years ago. Then they put so much pressure on us that we paid, and they didn't transfer the money back... These are very strange business practices. And worst of all, they simply don't respond to emails. That's very unprofessional.

This company abuses the trust of its workers and does not pay them.

If you're a translator, or some sort of linguist. NEVER work for these guys EVER! I've worked for them on and off for 12 years, and had sworn to myself to never do it again, because they suck at paying people!! I've got my money eventually, but it always takes me a gazillion emails, and sometimes years of nagging for them to pay me.
Now I worked for them again in early January 2025, because they gave me work thru Outlier, so I was sure this time it wouldn't be any problems with the pay... and they were supposed to pay me in early February... 🙄 They just keep lying and saying they'll pay. But I'm guessing I'll have to keep emailing them for a couple of years again to get paid! I'm so annoyed by these people!

If you are a translator, I strongly advise you to not accept any assignment this agency might offer you.
You will end up working hard for...nothing as they don't pay.
I worked for them some 16 years ago and never got paid.

Stop working for them! You won't get paid!! I have not been paid since August for work completed. Rate/word is scandalous compared to other companies and deadlines are unrealistic. Also, I never received any PO's and you can never find out if they paid you the correct amount for work performed. Sascha Wagner, you are a disgrace but karma will deal with you.

I also did freelance work and they have also refused to pay or respond. It was only one project but I am filing with the New York Attorney General and NYS Department of Labor.

I never received a payment for the work I did for them. Please be aware of that before you begin to work for them, make them pay beforehand if necessary.

Till now March 2023, I Never received my payment since I sent them the invoice in May 2022 and request payment form in July 2022. I am wondering what kind of business! Really unprofessional and they just don’t care about us who help them complete the job and they get paid from clients!

Avoid like the plague, Wagner-International are thieving criminals.

I ABSOLUTELY warn anyone from either working for or buy any service from that bunch of amateurs and incompetent wannabes that call themselves "an international translation company".
They are low key, uneducated people that can barely write two words without misspelling either one of them and they operate that business as it was some lemonade bench on the street, mail-bombing their co-workers with ridiculous assignment and unpredictable deadlines.
I have asked to be removed from their databases and to never hear anything from them again yet they keep sending me their pathetic quests as if I had not said clear enough what I think of their company.
To those that wish to roll the dice, one simple advice: ask to be paid in advance and in full; do not invest one single second of your life on those amateurs unless the money is already in your account.
Needless to say, today some ignorant guy that qualifies himself as "project manager" David Castillo (imagine the guys under him, unless this Wagner is nothing but a one-man con firm...) sent me another request to translate some text with a 12 hours deadline.

Hello, this is Sylvia Barsoum. I am an Arabic translator. A few months ago I was contacted to work with Wagner International and started my first task on February 10th, 2022. Today is April 21, but unfortunately, the full amount of the projects completed by this agency was not paid. I kept sending emails to the project manager, but I received only half of my payment. I also sent an email to the person who is responsible for financial issues, but he doesn't reply to my email at all. I don't know what's going on or why it will take forever to get paid. I need to talk to the manager to discuss what is happening.

In January 2022, I performed an extra-urgent huge (65 p.) legal translation in 3 days. I felt exhausted. The ultimate rate that they offered was not high enough for such a task, however, I agreed. I was never paid for this task. Today I wrote an e-mail to the PM and I gave an ultimatum: if they won't pay me in 1 day, I will refer to the client, whose task I performed (the UK-based court). I'll see if this works. Will keep you updated, colleagues :)

I did a couple of jobs for them in February and March and they are not responding to my messages and they’re not paying me my money, about 300 dollars. I have sent the invoices to them and nobody seems to be in charge. They said the will pay March 10 but no they don’t. I should have checked the company before working for them but I didn’t this time, regret that. Never work for them!!! They won’t pay you!

My 2021 was well up until this company gave a project. They did not pay me. They do not respond to my emails either. STAY MILES AWAY FROM THEM.

This company does not pay its translators. Please take care. I have not been paid for my job back in July. They only send me an automated reply!

The most awful company I have ever come across with

Do not spend your time and effort on this company. They find someone who responds to their proposals, the one who does not know about their unfair cooperation, and send their projects. When time to pay comes they disappear and do not respond to your letters. However they can send you new proects as if there were no problem between you.

LOOKING FOR NON PAID TRANSLATOR FOR GROUP SUING
They owe me too. I started working for them in May and have never been paid. I looked up on the Internet and I found many many people who never got paid. I have spoken with labor lawyers in NY, where Wagner International is located, and they said I can start filing up the case even if I am in outside of the USA. I can't believe this company has been working over 10 years. As a broke translator (because of this @hole non paying company), I want to make this a big deal. I want to make this as a group suing case. My lawyer is willing to start a group case. So, translators whoever Wager owes money, please please hit me up. I, We need you. I already have some people who joined me. Please join us.

+ I have a similar experience of group suing which ended up getting paid. Please trust me.

+ In my personal opinion, I think writing reviews of Wager won't really help. We need to let their clients and future clients know they have worked with a terrible company so they won't work with them again. It's a funny thing that my PM Qudrat Ullah never responded my email until I said " I will directly talk to your clients". He responded me in 11 minutes.
