Anthony was awesome!!

I placed an order and one of my items was missed during the packing process. I called customs service and spoke with Anthony, who was so attentive and helpful-I haven’t had such great customer service in a long long time. Thank you Anthony!!

Vitamin Shoppe Lost a Customer

I decided to order from Vitamin Shoppe online so I didn’t have to drive around to find a product. After ordering a bottle of Codeage Glutathione 1000mg, I received a bottle of the 500mg. I called and complained, they resent the WRONG product again. I called again and all they could do is tell me they would have the warehouse look into it and then offered for me to either get a 48-72 hour window for FedEx to pick it up or that I could return it to a store. Who sits around their home that long?? This completely defeats the whole reason I even ordered from them. Rest assured, this was the first and last time I will be.

How is this acceptable?

They are sending items to my old address, after I updated to my new address. Customer support said they may not be able to cancel all of the order. That’s weird. So they are going to still charge me for items I can’t receive? Yep. That’s exactly what’s happening. So now I have to contact my bank’s fraud department to get my money back. How does Vitamin Shoppe think that their handling of that mistake is ok?

I recently applied for a job at Vitamin Shoppe (an unnecessary “e”, it’s just Shop). Speaking of making things complicated, I think the reason I was not considered for the position was because of racial differences. I had all the skills and experience that they asked for, the interview went really great, and I’m jutting surprised why I didn’t make it. I waited patiently and calmly but this is just not fair. I’m not saying because I got rejected and I’m hurt, it’s actually because I believe it was a perfect match and they wanted to not hire me beacuse of my skin color or my Ethnicity. What a cluster F!!

Set up auto delivery for a supplement but had to cancel it because there is no human that can help you with any problems. You get directed to a completely garbage website that signs you out once a second. I'm not exaggerating! Pathetic that a multi million dollar company cares nothing for customer service. Spent 30 mins with three different people that had no clue how to help me.

Heed the negative comments

I will echo the negative comments about their website.

The website looks modern at first glance, but it has a lot of flaws. It has an annoying banner/ticker that distracts the user. It has a poor search engine that often returns irrelevant results. It uses slow lazy loading coding that affects the performance and functionality of the site. The longer you stay "engaged" the more the ads and the more info you share. It collects a lot of data from the user, such as cookies and website telemetry, which can compromise their privacy and security.

My adblocker and other security/privacy settings prevented me from accessing the site properly. If you don't allow them to track your activity, you can't use the site effectively.

The website is very shady in my opinion. The staff at the store have to deal with this problem as well, which creates long wait times for customers when they call or visit. It's a terrible operation in my opinion.

Stores are Okay, but Online Operation Needs Improvement

I've had okay experiences in the stores for the most part, but their inventory is hit or miss these days. The prices are a bit higher than at most places, but sales are frequent; and their store-label brands are good and can save you some money.

My experiences with online orders have more often been bad than good, however, mainly due to long delays during delivery. Only a few of my online orders have been delivered on time. Most have been delayed from a few days to a few weeks.

It's a shame because the selection online is excellent, and sales are frequent. But deliveries have been more miss than hit, to the point that I just stopped using Vitamin Shoppe for a long time.

There also was an occasion when I ordered an item for store pickup, was notified that it was ready, and drove almost 50 miles to the store: only to be told that they didn't have the item.

I probably should mention that in all cases when I ordered for delivery to my home, Vitamin Shoppe actually did ship the orders promptly; but the delivery companies they used dropped the ball.

Sometimes Vitamin Shoppe's checkout page offers a choice of delivery companies, in which case I choose the one that's most reliable, in my experience, where I live.

Today, however, that option wasn't offered; so I didn't go through with the order -- even though I had a discount code available to me. Instead, I paid full-price with another vendor whose deliveries have been more reliable of late.

Because of this, although I'm dating my experience today, my experience was a non-experience. I didn't go through with the order. I would have if I could have chosen (or at known) the delivery company.

Like many companies, Vitamin Shoppe could vastly improve their online experience by ALWAYS allowing the customer to choose their delivery method (at their own cost, of course). Some delivery companies are more reliable than others in different places. It's a very local thing.

In summary: The delivery is an integral part of online shopping, and it's where Vitamin Shoppe has failed me more often than not. Let me choose -- and pay for -- the delivery method. A great selection of products doesn't mean much if they don't arrive in a reasonable time.

Poor Sale practices

I sent my friend to get me a certain vitamin as I saw it online for a certain SALE price, and when he returned with it, he was charged full price! I called and the lady said he had to mention the sale and I could not get any money back! It doesn't say anywhere that I saw you have to say its online or its only online for the price? Poor business practice... I will stick with The Healthy Place! They stand behind all their pricing and products!!!! When I asked if I could get any money back she just laughed and said no. She obviously find telling people NO funny!

This company doesnt care about the…

This company doesnt care about the customer experience at all. Sent probiotics that need refrigeration via a long route through dhl and then the post office. It was delivered almost a week later and sat in the hot sun for 2 days because we were not notified it had been delivered. When contact company via chat and told them I had pictures of the bashed up pill box and the sun exposed package label they did Nothing! Nothing. Said i could go to a store (closest is 45 min away for me) or paid for shipment to return the item (which I am quite sure they would resell)

Vitamin Shoppe Does Not Care About their Customers Policies are more important

Came up to the Vitamin Shoppe, that I have been shopping at for years now, about 4, in the state of texas, with some products that did not work well for me. I called before I came, and came up to the store hopeful that the store manager Josh could do something for me concerning the issue since when he and I spoke he said to me he would see what he can do. I hauled these items in to the store only to be turned away with no assistance or willingness to assist whatsoever. It became clear to me that at the end of the day the store and policies are more important to the vitamin shoppe than the customer and customer retention. To that I say honestly think twice before shopping at this store location. Now if your of the Caucasian persuasion you may have better luck than this African American Woman Had as I have witnessed first hand exceptions being made to their policies by Josh. Aside from that I believe that he reached out to his district manager ahead of me to give his input to blatantly stop me from getting any additional assistance. That became evident when the corporate office also reached out to the district manager who went solely off of what the manager Josh messaged to her. Jan the district manager did not try to reach me or discuss this issue with me at all. My initial assumption of the fact that I felt Josh had reached out while I was also in the process of reaching out, was confirmed when I went back into the store and asked Josh if he got a chance to speak to his district manager. He first said no. As if he had no communication with said person, then as I mentioned the conversation with corporate then proceeds to tell me that he messaged Jan about the situation. Josh basically is picky and choosy about who and when he is going to help someone or make an exception because as I mentioned before they have made exceptions regarding similar issues that I personally witnessed first hand. I’ll be filing additional complaints regarding this since Josh took it upon himself to reach out to his district manager after the fact instead of reaching her while I was in his presence right then and there. I would look at this situation differently if he had chose to say hey let me check with my district manager to see what they say because I want to help you, but no, he was sneaky and underhanded about reaching out and so now I’m forced to never shop here or any vitamin shoppe ever again. Great Job Josh! & Jan. Great way to treat a loyal customer.

Terrible company

Terrible company. Ordered my first order from this company and never received my package. I didn’t even want a refund just my package. Robbed for $48 and change and customer service is terrible. The worst company. I just want my package.

shipped expired and near expiry vitamins

My husband ordered several hundred $ of supplements in November 2022. We noticed in December that some of them seemed to b disintegrating in the bottle.
When we checked the expiry, several were expired in 12/2022 and several others were very close to expiry.
Do not buy from this store. When I wrote to them to return the items, they said they were over 90 day ( they were not) and they could not accept a return.

So I signed up for a reoccurring order…

So I signed up for a reoccurring order with the vitamin Shoppe for our vitamins and some teas that we wanted to try because they were not available at our local store and they gave you a nice discount if you signed up for the subscribe and save. Well, the only time I get on is for those vitamins or if I wanna find a new tea I just received an email stating that my order has been processed and is being shipped and I never got any email prior reminding me of the subscribe and save. I feel like most companies are fully on board now with giving their customers reminders and letting them know hey you have 24 more hours to get this order correct. So I was pretty disappointed that I did not receive any order notice until it was being shipped out! Now the good news is, they said I can take whatever I don’t want back in return it but most people live check to check what about the people who are trying to be healthy and we know how expensive that can be to begin with and they just had $100 order placed on their card and were not properly notified prior to those charges being placed!
Just really bad for business and I hope the vitamin Shoppe fixes that! It is just a simple email reminder the week before the shipment is supposed to go out

WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND PRODUCTS

I emailed the company twice, first time they lost my case of energy drink, second they replaced the shipment with a janky brown box with the cans flying around. To top it off, it wasn't even the correct amount I ordered and it had leaked and became dis formed. I emailed customer service and they said "my products were not damaged." I can not open the cans to even drink as they are so damaged. Customer service hung up on me when I called to address the issue as well.

Store #101 Brandon FL Bathroom not working

Loyale Vitamin store shopper and while at ask clerk to bathroom. He stated they were out of order. It seems very odd for a facility that focuses on health to not have place wash hands / other personal. How are the employees functioning. I spend about 120.00 per month in this store but may now turn to GNC as there bathroons are working

Terrible company

Terrible company. Ordered some pre workout powder. Sent it to me all congealed and hard in the tub. Sent photos and asked for my money back. Refused and would only offer a gift card. Now ignoring me after I asked them to use this to send me a replacement item. I have even emailed their CEO Sharon Leite at her email sleite @ vitaminshoppe.com and been ignored.
