Wilfully Colourblind
The company is in the business of selling eyeware - yet I have good reasons to believe they are short on supply themselves. In the past I have placed several orders for the same product and in the same colour: Green. The success rate in delivering the correct product currently stands at 2 to 3 (not bad you might say). On this most recent occasion, they sent me a black pair instead of the usual - almost customary green. It may seem to the casual reader and the standard spoilt western customer that there is an easy solution: taking the black pair back and resending a green one. But no, VisionDirect have developed a new pathway to deal with such mishaps, based on a course of swift emails requesting the customer to take photos of the received product and send them along for investigation, then further photos taken under different lighting conditions, and then photos of products purchased earlier so the investigative team can compare and identify that green and black are indeed different under most lighting conditions. As we stand I am currently awaiting their reply to my most recent comparative study. The amount of time I have so far spent on this project outweigh the cost of the glasses by far. Next time I will have to choose a more expensive pair to make the follow-up communication justified.
They sent me totally wrong prescription…
They sent me totally wrong prescription lenses. Told me to return and they would refund me in 15 days.
They refused to send me a new order out until I paid them again...

Never ever again will I use this company, the worst service ever provided. Placed an order, didn't arrive, rang was told it was damaged in transit, bearing in mind I had to contact them. Then said to send again, nope can't do that, had to get a refund, reorder and wait again. Then lo and behold UPS only went and damaged them all again so same scenario. Here I am into the third week and no lenses. Refuse to give a managers details for escalation. Totally incompetent, am contacting trading standards and UPS direct

Don't bother ordering from this business. They take your money then don't delivery and just come out with excuses, a month since ordering and several calls I have still not received my order. Any saving they give you is not worth it.
NOT QUITE RIGHT
I've had 2 pairs of glasses from Vision Direct and both times they were not quite right.
The prescription was right but when wearing the glasses I cannot see properly (as I can with the ones I got from the Optometrist) and I can walk while wearing them - something is just off.
The frames are still and made from nasty plastic and the lenses also seem to be some weird cheap plastic.
All in all super disappointed but more upset that I've thrown away around $400 hard eared dollars.
I'd genuinely recommend you shop elsewhere.

Avoid at all costs
I used to order from them for nearly 10 years without issues until recently. Virtually no customer service that can help, once you do get through, they can't actually solve any issues. Took me weeks to get my money back for two orders that weren't completed. They just take your money without any real updates as to when your contacts would be delivered. Have since moved to another online store and had no problems there. Never again am I ordering from Vision Direct again and I suggest you avoid at all costs.

Really bad. I ordered some contact lenses it’s been a week I’m waiting for it. I don’t have any idea where it’s going to be dispatched. The customer service is very poor, they just keep reading not buy don’t provide any solutions. Im actually with one contact Lense on my eyes and I’m waiting for my parcel since last Tuesday! It supposed to be updated and delivered today. I don’t hear anything, I keep contacting them but they are no giving me solution. It’s the last time I order over there there is no update nothing. Shitty company and it’s expensive!!

The company has gone to the dogs. No delivery made and the business cannot get the delivery information from Evri, the courier company they recently moved to. Don't bother wasting your time.

Unfortunately this company has been taken over. The whole service is a shadow of what it was. They take your money even if the lenses are out of stock and you are just left waiting with no confirmation of when the lenses might be delivered. Staff do try and help but the system the company now has is not customer friendly and is just designed to take money without providing a decent level of service.

Atrocious service and company! I ordered lenses on 30th September. No updates ever available. I have now contacted them on 5 different occasions by phone and online chat. Have been blatantly lied to, promised refunds and cancellations all to no avail. Still no delivery 2 weeks later, although money has left my account. Have now raised a PayPal complaint too. In the meantime I’ve used Vision Express who are cheaper and my lenses have been delivered in two days. Never using this company ever again.

Order for next day delivery still hasn’t arrived over a week later. When I call customer support they provide no help but the standard excuse of “we are waiting for supply chain to update us.” Bad customer service, and not trusting them again. I hope they grant a refund.

Worst customer service
Worst customer service. It's impossible to change an address JUST after you have placed an order. Personnel won't provide you with the descent help.
Unhelpful customer service
I ordered contacts on the 10/09/2024 (says delivery 2-3 working days in Ireland). When I emailed the customer service worker was rude and unhelpful where they asked me 'how did you expect them to come earlier' when I have a screenshot of the estimated delivery day WHICH CHANGED when I emailed them (I have screenshots which said 19/02024) I was notified 10 days later that the contacts had not been in stock which would have been helpful when I was ordering them. I have been a customer for years which they are aware of as the customer service worker said they thought i 'would know the policy' but after that I'm going elsewhere
There were other issues I let slide because of the price such as contacts splitting several times.
Order never came with no help from vision direct or Royal Mail
Unfortunately my order never arrived. Not only that but I’ve tried to contact both vision direct and Royal Mail via email, phone and online chat and nobody has got back to me. It’s a shame as I order off of vision direct every month and this is the first time I’ve encountered such an issue and poor customer service
