Please do not buy a car from this place.
We bought a car a few months ago and within a day the engine light came on.
We sent the car back and it was a nightmare for almost three weeks. They had the car and kept fobbing us off as to when we could collect it.
They constantly lie and try to intimidate you. Jack will become incredibly rude and dismissive when you challenge him.
It got to a point that I brought another person with me to intimidate them back and cause a scene - this seemed to get them to do what I’d asked of them in the first place.
It seems this place only respond to you fight fire with fire.
I’ve spent upwards of £800 fixing my car as I will not let Vision Motors take it to fix it as I do not trust them in the slightest.
I know we have gotten off really lightly in comparison to others.
There is a Facebook page and Google reviews that I wish I had of seen before purchasing our car.
When I picked my car up for the final time after they had had it for 3 weeks, there were three other families in there complaining and asking for refunds. They will try and quote legalities to you, they’re talking rubbish. Vision Motors skirt around the law.
They’re not affiliated with the Motor Ombudsman nor the AA, so you can take them with you before checking out a car - that should tell you all you need to know.
They will also ask you to do a review on here as soon as you’ve bought your car, wait a few weeks and then do it.
Please, do not buy from this place - we got lucky a lot of other people have not been so lucky.

Update - Deposit returned after about 3 months.

The Golf Match 1.6TDI DSG we liked wasn’t on site, so we paid a £100 refundable deposit so the car wouldn’t be sold and would be prepared. We arranged to go back 3 days later with the view of buying it there and then if it was ok. Car not there when we arrived (very annoyed as we are not local). They didn’t know we were coming as the salesman had gone home sick and told no-one. New salesman said he would take over the sale and get the car there in the next day or two, he rang on day three saying it was having a new gearbox, getting concerned so I did an online check it came back as having outstanding finance, at which point I cancelled (10 days and not seen the car yet) - I have now spent over 2 weeks asking for my refundable deposit back, I’m still waiting, and after reading some 1* reviews about the withholding of refundable deposits, I have started a chargeback with my bank.

I rang Liam at Vision to ask about a car. I explained I was quite a distance away. He recommended I paid a reserve and verbally reassured me it was protected and fully refundable if I changed my mind. Thereafter I decided on another vehicle closer to home, so requested a refund, only to be told that I'd not met the requirements for a refund and they'd incurred costs. I emailed them to say these terms are in breach of the distance selling consumer act laws. They've chosen to ignore me. Hoping I would give up. They purposely word their sales patter so they can later say, they told you "you had to see the car in person, to get your refund" Non of this is true nor legal. I will continue to post reviews and contact Trading Standards until they rectify their terms and refund me. Be careful if you are asked to hand over money.

This company’s a fkn joke, bought a blue Mokka off them kept me waiting & waiting to in the end said I would get it today, Just phoned to tell me it would take another 3 weeks after waiting over 3 weeks already, Won’t tell me what’s wrong with the car and just keep lieing about it.
I should of read the reviews, stupid me, So now it’s time that this company pays customers back, I’m going to take action, reporting to trading standards and work on getting there FOC Licences Revoked, & I won’t rest until they are shut down.
Excuse after excuse & promises after promises, BEWARE & KeEP Well Away From Vision Motors LTD Haydock & Leeds.

I bought a car from them last year, and have had all sorts of problems. First thing was the brake pads that went. The next thing was the juddering, when at a stand still. I took the car back for them to look at, but they told me I was crazy. I thought nothing of it because I don’t know much about cars, and it was my first one I’d bought. Anyway, the judderikf got worse, and I felt unsafe putting the wife and kids in the car. I tried taking it back to them, but they turned me away, pretended they didn’t know who I was, and the rates to call the police if I didn’t vacate the premises. Not only that, I saw a nasty little blonde, grin at me as he picked up a wrench at threw it at my car. Luckily it missed it or else there’d be even more series
Consequences then a CCJ. I warn all who will listen:DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS GARAGE. THEY ARE NOTHING BUT LIARS.

All scum bags had my home address threatened when tried to enquire about some repairs on my car. I go to see them and they had weapons in the car show room. The owner then told me how he’s been in jail for murder and how I am not getting my money back. So I am now sat with a Jaguar xf worth £2000 after paying £7,000 Please don’t give these people your money

Sold me a broken car, got quoted 2k by audi because it needed a new ECU then they refused to pay for repairs because “checking if a car is mapped is not something they do” absolute joke of a company as long as the moneys in their account they couldn’t care less

If you are thinking of buying a car from this company,proceed with caution.
I recently purchased a fiat 500x. Great car for fuel economy which I wanted but I didn’t have expect to be paying for new tyres ,new seat belt drivers side,break fluid,new oil, new key and new driver side handle.
All these issues totally unacceptable and as as result of zero communication from them I have issued a small claims through the government web .
So please proceed with caution

If I could put 0 stars I would. They have had my Audi q7 since Nov 2024 for repairs I’ve paid £1000 towards repairs, bought this car June 2024 and only been in my hands for 11 weeks out of about 59 weeks due to constant failures.

Received such a warm and friendly welcoming, and made to feel extremely relaxed by all the staff I encountered. Can safely say that it was an amazing,experience from trading in old car, to purchasing new car to after sales service and advice. It’s a family business and I was almost made to feel like one of the family. Can safely say that Vision Motors will most certainly be my first point of call when looking to change my current vehicle. I don’t normally write reviews, but it was such a great experience that I just had to find the time to write one. Stephen White- An extremely happy customer.

I am writing this review to warn other customers and share my full experience with Vision Motors.

I was sold a car with serious engine damage and multiple hidden faults that were not disclosed at the time of sale. After waiting over six weeks for the vehicle to be collected, I was given a courtesy car — but without valid road tax. As a result, the courtesy vehicle was clamped, leaving me without transportation and facing unnecessary stress.

Now that the vehicle has been returned, Vision Motors is refusing to return my £1,500 deposit, claiming £900 for supposed “damage” — with no proof, no breakdown, and no justification. I strongly believe this is a false and opportunistic claim.

To make matters worse, I have recently been informed that someone attempted to register the car under a new keeper and changed the number plate via DVLA — without my permission. This happened after I had returned the vehicle, which raises serious concerns about how they are managing vehicles and documents.

I am aware other customers have experienced similar issues with delays, false damage claims, and misleading communication. I would urge anyone considering Vision Motors to proceed with extreme caution.

This experience has caused significant stress and wasted time, and I feel it’s important to speak out.

I was approved for finance on a nice family car despite my credit not being great. The process was fast, and the car came with history and warranty.

Viewed the stock, reserved a car by phone, they took £100 for that priviledge.

The photos on the site didn't match the appearance of the car in person (so be warned and always view it). It was also on a piece of waste ground with a porta cabin as the 'sales office'. Not good.

We decided to not proceed with the purchase, but Vision haven't refunded the £100. Fairly telling when a company grasps for money so much they value £100 so much. Phoned twice, also did an online request for the money back, but still nothing. Have now opened a chargeback with my bank.

Avoid this bunch of cowboys at all costs. Imagine the kind of service you'll get if anything actually goes wrong with a car you've bought from this lot.

Sold us an economic and physical write off as almost perfect. Home insurance helped us get a refund but same car back up for sale. Beware. Would not recommend buying av 23 owp

We went to look at a car but it wasn’t at the garage so they convinced us to put £100 (which is a lot to a 17 yr old) deposit down which was fully refundable but still waiting on it being refunded we didn’t buy the car as in between I read so many awful reviews that I didn’t trust they would sell me a decent car

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. Go to Facebook page...'Vision Motors Direct Complaints. I personally had to go to a Small Claims Court to get my money back. Cars sold often have serious/dangerous faults. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Atrocious. Bought a car from the Haydock branch in January this year. Disaster from start to finish. When I went to look at it, told couldn’t take it home as alloys needed replacing. And the Wet Belt (Citroen Cactus 1.2) Stupidly, I went ahead with all the paperwork and paid! My Fiat 500 which I was trading in, offered £2400 part ex. Then told it was a Cat D, couldn’t be sold ( now know this isn’t true) and as a result could only give me £1200 for it. The £100 admin fee was going to be waived, as a gesture, but no it wasn’t.
Eventually get the car, and go to Blackpool for on overnight stay. On my way home, on the motorway, the brakes fail, totally. Horrendous situation. Call them to tell them, “how are you sure the brakes failed” You having a laugh? So someone comes to take it away and fix it. At this point, I decide to download the MOT certificate, which they put on for me …. It has 2 advisories of which im unaware, concerning bald tyres. So I end up paying £400 for new tyres. Few days later it’s back ( with parcel shelf I had to nag for as it was missing) another couple of days an engine warning light comes on, so I ring again. Says engine failure, deal with immediately. “Oh it’s just a sensor, bring it in we will fix it” So off we go again (this is all within their 4 week warranty!) So they sort it.
Middle of all this, I see my Cat D Fiat 500 that was “spares & repairs” on their website, FOR SALE, at 3 times more than they gave me. So I ring up, furious, Im told it’s a mistake and shouldn’t be on the website. When I go for the final sensor fix, there it is still complete, on their sale lot.
Fast forward to today- decided not to renew insurance on it when it ran out on the 16th and to get rid of it.
Reputable garage comes to buy it. Guess what? First off, the brakes are rusty but have very thick, new pads. And need replacing. So another lie. The service? Well, not had that either it would seem. And absolutely NO COOLANT in it.
I went here, as a single female. How naive was I to think that buying from a dealership would be better than a private sale?
Wont be doing that again in a hurry. Best advice, avoid like the plague. Honest I was told at every stage, NO you are not.

Avoid this place at all costs, absolute joke, worst experience of buying a car from a dealer Ive ever had, con artists, sold me a faulty car, and a £700 warranty that covered absolutely nothing,took the car back for them to do the repairs , took over 2 months to get the car back,held it in their compound until we paid for the repairs that should have been done before we bought the car, got the car back looking like it had been in a scrap yard absolutely filthy inside and damaged paintwork, having to have my alloy wheel refurbished because of the damage , absolutely no respect for peoples property . White substance like glue all over my back leather seat , mud on the carpets and seats , central locking still not working, door pillars and paintwork with a dull film like substance that I can’t get off , my car is so damaged it’s unbelievable ,how this company is still trading is beyond me.

Bought a car just over a year ago as it needs taxing
Went to car paper pile and could not find log book so rang dvla as I could not tax online to fined out I never received a log book was never put in my name so car is unregistered

I’m still waiting on my second key I was promised

Also had to do timing as it went in the car with in 1000 miles blowing 10 valves and bending rest

Few other issues with car no air con as it’s knackered was ment to of been topped up prier to buying
