Exact same experience as another reviewer. Someone texted me with an interest in buying a used car I had for sale on Craigslist. They asked for a vehicle history report, so I emailed them the Carfax which I had already purchased. They immediately emailed back with a link to vintrustreport.com. When i clicked the link, my browser (luckily) stopped me from going to the site, and warned that it was a scam. So, i did some googling and arrived here. I found another review, and the language that the scammer used in that review is completely identical to the language they used with me.

After setting an appointment to see the car, they texted "okay one more thing can you share me the VTR report so I can be sure of the vehicle's history". I then emailed the carfax, and got the link to the scam website. I told them they had the carfax and the vin number, and they could run another report if they wanted. They texted back "never ask for carfax VTR papers has more options and detailed things from the carfax and other reports that's why I need to see this report." I told them no, and then they got testy, texting back "I sent you the link for the report. It's not my vehicle to be purchasing a report for. You are selling it or else I would do it as I always did whenever I post my vehicle for sell online. I didn't haggle or negotiate nor do I need too. Just need to see a report before I drag a friend with me and take a day off work". I sent a sracastic response back. They then again used similar language and tactic from the other review, texting "If you are concerned about pay for the report I can do one thing for you when I'll be there so I'll pay you back for the report with the full amount of the vehicle".

The morning after posting a car for sale this week, I was texted by someone expressing interest. They asked a couple of general questions and set an appointment to see it the next day. Then they texted: "Great one more thing can you share me the VTR report so i can be sure of the vehicle's history" and "Here is the link which i am asking for", a link and "You can get the papers from". When I noted the price of the report, they offered to pay me back for it along with "the full amount of the vehicle". Suspicious of a sight-unseen full price offer coupled with a specific report request, I texted that I'd get a CarFax and indicated if that was a deal-breaker we could cancel. No reply, no show the next day.

Its a scam! Don’t fall for the people texting you to buy your car and asking you to have this report. I got three texts with same words, asking for specifically this report. I fall for the first one and then 2 other guys asked me the same. The report is garbage! Nothing in it not even comparable with Carfax. Showing nothing valuable and ask for $29!

It’s a scam, I never got the report and can’t get any response from the chat. Can’t get a number to call. I contacted my credit card company to cancel. Update-report received the next day but specs of vehicle are not correct.

I get VIN report from this site they gave us good report.

I just purchased their report, Each and every detail are accurate. Their customer representative Mike is also responsive he gave timely response to my queries.
