That’s why our nationwide network of out-of-hours pet emergency clinics are open through the night, at weekends and on bank holidays, so we’re ready and waiting to provide expert pet emergency care when your regular vet is having some time off.
Our pet emergency clinics are the pet equivalent of A&E and our purpose is to give you and your pet the care and support you deserve, at the time you need it most, whether it’s four in the morning or in the middle of Sunday lunch.
Vets Now provides this trusted service to more than 1000 veterinary practices across the UK — from over 60 dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals. In total, we treat around 200,000 small animals every year — our highly-skilled team works hard throughout the night, weekends and Bank Holidays. So whether you’re in Aberdeen, Belfast or Portsmouth we’re there for you and your pet when you need us most.
We’ve also pioneered other ways to help pets, pet owners and the veterinary profession, such as our comprehensive referrals service and providing our staff with industry-leading training and development opportunities. We also support the pet blood transfusion charity, Pet Blood Bank UK. £405 and the vet didn’t do anything
£405 and the vet didn’t do anything. Just tranquilliser for dog to see vet on Monday. He was in such pain with his eye. They did not have a muzzle to fit.

Dishonest and Heart Breaking
Was sent to out of hours after my cat suffered a serious injury, my vets opened before consultation finished and wasn't updated that I could transfer to my vets. Told that if surgery went well bill would be £1200. Was told surgery couldn't have been simpler then charged £2300. Told would only need 2 further vet visits then on collection told every week.
As an example .... a BANDAGE was £72... i could go on and on. I dont have issues specifically with the veterinary care but the charges and the communication was horrific.

Amazing staff, extortionate prices.
I took my cat to this vet practice after he broke his leg during their after hours. The staff was amazing and helpful but like all vets, the prices are extortionate. I don’t understand how can vet practices be so expensive. If it was a review just on staff, it would be 5 stars. Unless you are rich, I wouldn’t recommend this place.

The receptionist was wonderful and sympathetic to my position with having to have Toby put to sleep however the actual way he was treated I’m not going to say it was unsympathetic but a very bad experience the way he in my mind suffered due to the procedure being clumsily performed

Cocoa's late night emergency
Our fur baby Cocoa was in a pretty bad way Mon evening after having some urgent treatment on Saturday for a severely blocked colon. We made a decision to call them later at night and took Cocoa to Farnham asap for urgent treatment. I can't fault the team who were on shift from the receptionist to the vets and nurses for looking after her and giving her the best treatment possible. We were worried sick as we thought we might lose her, but she's a little fighter, warrior who wasn't ready to go yet. We're pleased to say she's at home resting and hopefully will make a full recovery fingers 🤞.

A great emergency pet care service
I was able to be seen quickly. The team were caring whilst also professional. An accurate estimate was provided and I got regular updates on how my cat was doing and when she was able to come home. Slight negative that a (not inexpensive!) charge had been left on my invoice that was no longer relevant, but these things happen. Overall a great service that saved my cat in an emergency.
