I would not give any stars at all if it were possible. Booked a taxi for 3.40pm. At 3.35 got a call to confirm the pick up point, waited and waited at 4pm I started to walk as I was going to catch a bus. At 4.10 another call asking did I book a taxi. A bit bloody late now. I had planned this to be a daily pick up from my work to where I catch a bus, but this company is totally bloody useless.
Even tried to tell me the traffic was busy. I’m not blind the traffic was not busy. I didn’t even get an apology. USE A DIFFERENT COMPANY

I am writing this to warn anyone considering using Value Cabs for an important event. Please read the reviews before you book—I unfortunately only looked at them after they ruined my wedding day.I pre-booked a taxi well in advance for the morning of my wedding to get to my bridal makeup appointment. Everything was organized and confirmed ahead of time. On the morning of the wedding, the taxi simply never showed up. Because it was morning rush hour, it was impossible to secure an alternative ride at the last minute. This caused a massive delay, completely disrupted the schedule for the morning, and caused an immense amount of unnecessary stress on what should have been a special day.This company is entirely unreliable and untrustworthy. If you have a significant event, a flight, or an important appointment, do not risk it. They have zero accountability, and I strongly advise everyone to look elsewhere if you actually need to get to your destination on time. Worst experience ever.

I ordered a taxi online weeks before pickup on arrival at the airport the driver called me to say he was waiting outside. I then got a text about 15 minutes later to say they are to find a driver. Stood in the rain for about 30 minutes luckily enough we found another taxi from a different company. I will never use Value Cabs again rubbish service. It seem to me they will take anybody that comes first rather than the person who booked well in advance.

We ordered our taxi the night before from the reception of the Holiday innExpress for 8.50 am to be at the tour bus for 9.15 by 9.00am no show hotel called them and said they were very busy and said they may not make it . I have to thank the hotel staff as they gave us a lift. We were only going a short distance and o think that they decided it was not worth coming to pick us up. We were tourists i would not recommend them to anyone if there was a no stars i would have chosen that . I dont know why the hotel uses you as you give them a bad name service really bad Not Use they will let you down

Booked taxi and kept getting messages saying trying to get me a taxi after excepting my booking 50 minutes prior to arrangement. Standing in hot weather as an older person is not acceptable. If value cabs can't commit don't take booking in first place. 2026. upper Newtownards Road.

Booked a taxi to Grand Central to make a bus to the airport. The taxi was booked the night before, the bus was at 8.50 and the taxi was booked for 8.20. I live a 10 minute drive away but gave it 30 minutes because of rush hour traffic.

The next day 8.20 came and went and the taxi still hadn’t shown up. What is the point in having a booking system if they don’t show up when they’re booked for???

Anyways the taxi shows up 10 minutes late. The taxi driver could see we were freaking out in the back seat about missing this bus to the airport. We were super polite to him and when he asked what side of grand central we wanted dropped off at I said “Whichever is fastest, our bus leaves in 6 minutes.” And this driver says “Well you should’ve booked an earlier taxi.”

I did. You were late. It was rude, unprofessional and super stressful. I had to sprint through Grand Central and made my bus by begging the bus driver to wait. Almost ruined the whole trip and the taxi driver was so nasty, for no reason.

I’ve never had an experience like this with Value Cabs before. Usually I would recommend them and have used them loyally in the past for pre-booking taxis. But this experience has ruined that and I will never rely on Value Cabs again.

I got a taxi from Belfast City airport to the city centre on Saturday evening. Realised after getting out that I had left my wallet in the cab with cash, cards and my passport and drivers licence. The kind staff at value cabs very kindly helped me get my stuff back. Shout out to Kathleen, who is an angel. Cannot thank you enough!

if i could rate it 0 stars i would. horrible experience. we booked hours in advance for 2 and we’re waiting on the side of the road for over an hour for both and it never showed. they didn’t answer any calls or texts and left us to walk majority of the way with big bags. highly unreliable and unprofessional would not recommend

All drivers are amazing ( 5 stars )

But their booking system is a joke. If you pre-book your ride and expect to be there on time - forget about it.

What is the point of offering a service that you fail to deliver each time?

Quick and easy to arrange a taxi for my dad to the anirport yesterday. Arrived a minute early this morning.

The previous time I used VC the driver recommended that I use the app rather than the telephone to book since if I write that I’m going to the airport I will get priority So last night I book a taxi for 04:45 this morning for the airport and had it confirmed. By 5am it had not arrived. I went into the app and it said it was ‘searching for a driver’. I called from the app and an automated voice told me to hit ‘1’ for an ETA. It then said ‘sorry we cannot give you an ETA as we are still searching for a driver’!. I then called the number not using the app and was told my driver was 4 minutes away When he arrived at 05:10 he apologised and said it wasn’t his fault as he had just accepted the job. He said that the problem was that at that time of the morning drivers can choose their fare and that because I was only a 6 minute drive from the airport I was likely to be ignored. He had dropped someone off and decided to accept because I was ’ just round the corner’ Fortunately I had allowed a lot of time and it wasn’t raining, but naturally it gives me no confidence in this company - If you book it the previous night and yet they don’t assign you a driver and It is a lottery whether someone will accept your fare…. . If you have a plane to catch Avoid!!! The driver himself was great and I’m grateful he picked me up, but Value Cabs? Nope!

First visit to Belfast and my partner"s Dad was taken unwell day one so we all needed to use taxi service a lot between Royal Victoria hospital and Crown Plazza Hotel each day. All Value Cab taxi drives we met were fantastic, shared stories of Belfast and given history lesson. We are very grateful for the excellent hospitality you all have showed us x

I got off the bus at Grand Central Station late at night after a long day travelling. There were two taxis sitting in Glengall Street. When I asked the first one if he was available he asked me where I was going and when I said to East Belfast he just said ask the taxi in front. Same thing happened. Obviously both wanted to see if a better journey for them turned up. I hope either of them didn't get a fare. Disgusting behaviour and especially as I'm an older lady travelling alone and don't like to walk around the city centre looking for taxis. This is the second time recently I've tried to get a Value Cabs Taxi from the station after a long journey by bus. If you can't provide a proper taxi service from a big new Grand Central Station I suggest you give over that office of yours in Glengall Street to someone who can. I feel sorry for tourists who arrive in Belfast late at night if they have to depend on you to get anywhere

I have order a taxi from my mother's place and I give them the address and they took the address wrong so I rang said they have took the wrong address done so am not happy with this so am not going to use this company again

Abused and sworn at by Cab driver Value Cabs Toyota Avensis F N 1 8 J D O Wednesday 18th March 2026 11.30am.
I am disabled and was crossing a clear road. Driver Value Cab, drove recklessly towards me blasting his horn as I was close to the kerbside.
He stopped holding traffic up abusing me in a threatening manner.
Went on to hold the following traffic up again on a Green Light ( Yes Green ) and swore at me as I took a photo of the vehicle - reported to Value Cab manager and Taxi Licensing NI. Not fit to be a cabbie representing Value Cabs or the City of Belfast. He was carrying a customer in the back of the vehicle whilst committing a Public Order offence. Awaiting replies.

Is there any point in booking a taxi , giving plenty of time and notice...
Had to carry heavy bags in wet windy weather ..not nice
For them to then state there is no specific time when.. or IF IT ..will Arrive ?

Not enough drivers available, what's the point of advertising this service ?

Absolutely horrendous service since they unfortunately took over my local taxi depot. Every single taxi has been late to the point my employer is docking my wages ,even though they are prebooked at least one day before. Calling the depot is just as painful, to be told " pre bookings and the app take priority " yet they don't? It's one thing to take over a local company but an entirely different thing to alienate the customer base they were trying to buy? It honestly makes zero sense.
