No returning a salutation so won’t be saying a good morning going forward. Likely I don’t use this service often. I am referring to the 292 from Borehamwood bus. A lot of other reviews have already said what I think. There are some good – even very good – drivers, particularly on the 243 route and among some of the younger drivers on the 614 route. Other routes seem to be more mixed particularly the 602 and 653.
As many other reviewers have noted, the rudeness of some drivers is staggering. Some of the late middle-aged and older male drivers appear to lack even basic politeness and customer service skills. Unfortunately, I don't get the impression that Uno is particularly concerned about this.

Came to leave a review but obviously everything that I would have said is already been said about this uno bus service and still yet nothing is ever been done that's why they don't improve there service's (the worst bus line in the whole UK 🇬🇧 never take this bus)
This company is rubbish
This company is rubbish, buses are completely ghosted and I had to spend so much money on Uber. Drivers are also rude to passengers, this company should have shut down permanently!
Unreliable terrible service
Unreliable terrible service, no point in this bus even being on the road I’ve had to get cabs all week because the bus didn’t turn up. Tried to contact their customer service via phone with no answer just 20 minutes of ringing. Emailed over 5 times with no reply. Hope this service gets replaced with one that actually works. Experience is awful on a daily basis. Hope this service gets replaced - gap in the market for a more reliable service for sure

my bus didnt show up two days in a row with no warning at all and i wasnt able to get where i needed!!! there was no sign of cancellation or anything it just didnt show up. not happy at all, we’re meant to be able to rely on our public transport.

One of their drivers nearly crashed…
One of their drivers nearly crashed into me, and would have had I not steered out of the way subsequently causing my tyre to burst due to hitting the curb. The driver was on my side of the road and speeding round a corner on a tight country lane. I have issued a complaint to Uno, I receive a response asking for more information which I provided. After nearly a month and multiple chases later. I still haven’t had a response.
Rude driver, unfair refund policy
Bus driver was extremely rude and wouldn't accept my valid activated mobile ticket. Forced us to purchased additional tickets. When I tried to explain again that I already had a valid mobile ticket, he grabbed the physical ticket he had forced me to buy and screwed it up. This later meant that I had no evidence to get it refunded and customer service wouldn't accept the mobile banking proof of purchase. They would also only refund the additional tickets purchased rather than the rejected mobile ticket, claiming that I downloaded it after boarding the bus, despite the fact that I can see on the app that it was downloaded and activated before boarding. So essentially I paid £17 for a single 20 minute journey for 4 people when we could've just paid the £10.40 we were forced to pay additionally anyway. Won't be using Unobus again. Back to Arriva.
Unreliable
Since taking over 292 the service is unreliable. Live times are changed every minute making the bus time later and then it eventually disappears and have to wait for next one. This route is my lifeline as I am 73 and have no other means of transport. This was a reliable service before December when UNO took over.Should be bus every 20 minutes but now lucky if more than 1 an hour.
How can you rely on this service?
My first time trying to get the bus from St Albans to Barnet.
My car in the garage, so had to get too work at the Hospital.
6.30 I was at the stop for a 653 to Hatfield on a Monday morning.
It never arrived. I stood in the dark watching people walk dogs. Exercise, then kids going to School, then people off too work. Still no Bus!!!
3rd Bus came 45 mins late (been over 2 hours at stop!)
Then Bus from Hatfield (already missed two connecting Bus because of no 653!)
States arriving in 3 mins. Then just disappeared from the board & never arrived?!
Ended up in an Uber, costing me a lot of money & missing over 2 hours of work!
Since then My Wife had to get the same bus on 2/3 occasions as I needed her car & every time was no sign of bus according to timetable & at least an hour wait each time!
How do people rely on this service to get to work or study on a daily basis?!
I would be sacked after a week.

I was on a journey from Barnet to Hatfield university it was the 614. I had my partner on the phone to direct me as to where I should press the bell to get off. The driver thought It was appropriate to tell me to come off the phone because it’s a distraction, and refused to listen to what I had to say. I received a notification this afternoon from uno actually telling people to not use there phone on loudspeaker and I find that to be very inappropriate for them to tell people that pay there fares what they can and cannot do. This type of living situation is not only controlling but is even audacious as I pay my phone bill and sim bill to be able to speak to who whenever or wherever….
This incident happened on the 20/10/2025 at 13:56 bus’s stop was Barnet Union street
The driver was a blonde white women middle aged.

AWFUL service. If it isn't the crummy contact with customer service where an issue cannot be resolved or phone calls rarely answered, the unreliable service in general, they are the most incompetent bus company out there. It is a University bus, fgs.

I had an excellent driver
I had an excellent driver. Her name was Georgina (not sure if I spelt it right).
I've just started uni and I am blessed to have her as one of my drivers. She's so lovely! And I love that she actually does her job by ensuring students have their tickets.
Having professional drivers like Georgina is vital for students because her diligence ensures that my university is making the money they're supposed to from bus fares. If not, students may lose the privilege of the bus service, meaning a very long walk!
Thank you Georgina for your professionalism - you care about the students ❤️

I took the Comet 614 bus and Jinu the bus driver was super friendly and helpful. I didn't think id ever leave a bus review but he deserves a review for how polite and friendly he was. I also forgot to press my stop and he had remembered and stopped for me where I needed the get off. Thank you Jinu

Uno bus SUCKS! Always late. I’ve been overcharged. I’ve been charged twice. Rude drivers. Busses that smell like piss.
