The UU representative
The UU representative, Kane Wiltshire, was very helpful, courteous, polite, understanding of the issue, empathetic, very reassuring. He called back the same day, as he said he would, explained that UU took responsibility and that there would be remedial action to solve the issue. Excellent customer service provided.

I live alone in a 2 bedroom house and…
I live alone in a 2 bedroom house and I’m currently paying £86 a month for my water bill. United Utilities say they can’t do anything other than put me on a water meter because that’s the value they’ve place on my £80000 two bedroom house. Basically they’re trying to force me onto a meter. So I’ve run a hose from my back garden to a few of my neighbours who are on water meters so they can get some value out of me being robbed blind. I won’t get a water meter after the debacle at my last house where there was a leak into the toilet cistern and I got a £500 bill even though I didn’t know about the leak. That bill got quashed but then there was a leak on an external pipe and that bill was over £1000 and wasn’t quashed. So United Utilities can kiss my hoop.

Rang on 24th March problems with my old water meter struggling to read the meter which is situated under the stairs. I am on priority list and they arranged to have a new meter fitted on the 22nd April
