This university repeatedly exerts financial pressure on students, especially in critical situations such as exams, graduation, or obtaining a Bachelor’s degree. Alleged payment claims are raised without clear or transparent explanations of what these charges are actually for.

Administrative processes are highly opaque. Students are passed from one office to another, responsibilities constantly change, and no one seems accountable. Reaching anyone by phone is extremely difficult; calls often appear to be routed internationally, leaving you unsure where your request is even being handled.

The overall impression is clear: the focus is no longer on students or education, but primarily on generating revenue. Transparency, support, and academic integrity suffer as a result.

I strongly recommend documenting every payment, email, and confirmation. The process is exhausting — and unfortunately not an isolated experience.

I strongly advise caution when considering UE Germany. My experience has been extremely negative.

False promises from student advisors: I was misled by an advisor who gave incorrect information about refunds and contract terms.

Vague and misleading contracts: The contract itself was unclear, and when asked for clarification, the advisor’s explanations turned out to be wrong.

No accountability from the university: Despite the advisor’s role in providing false information, the university refuses to take responsibility for their staff’s actions.

Harassment over fees: Instead of resolving the issue fairly, the university continues to pressure and harass about semester fees.

UE Germany is an absolute scam. The staff is rude and does not find any solution for you. Transparency, honesty, and accountability are severely lacking, and I would not recommend this institution to prospective students.

I write to say that UNIVERSITY of Europe for Applied Sciences is a very reputable and distinguished institution.Considering the little time and conversation I have had with some of the staff of the institution,I want to confidently say that they are concerned about their students,they want their students to get the very best,they show love and care,they are ready to go extra miles just to make sure that every student is comfortable as they are also ready to discharge the very best knowledge and bring out the academic excellence in their students. this uni has no issue with scamming you. time. after. time.

once some fellow students and me wanted to do shoot a video, so we rented an LED lamp from the arsenal. (I heard from Film & Motion students that the gear at the arsenal is really old and not at all the industry standard, this is another topic tho) anyways, what was given to us without a comment was not an LED lamp, but a UV(!!!!) light, that caused the five people in my group a strong irritation in our eyes. Every single one of us had to go to the ER/ eye doctor after the incident, because our vision was blurry and our eyes itching. We wrote an email to the uni, complaining, and they didn't apologise once. they told us they'd had complaints in the past (which is crazy because you would think they'd warn people about the effects of a UV light then) they also said something along the lines of "this is ultimately not harmful" which, again, is crazy, because we all went to the ER and had a worsened vision for days.

Anyways, that is just one story. the way this uni tries to take more and more money from you is beyond me. One thing they do is send you an email every semester, telling you that you didn't pay the semester fee. this may or may not be true. they send this email to everyone, regardless if you paid or not. in the mail they include something like "if we're wrong, send us proof of the payment"
if yo choose to ignore this email because you know you paid, they'll send it again, this time asking for more money (and threatening with exmatriculation). before I knew they were doing this to everyone, I responded to their mail, asking where these costs originate, because the semester was already paid for. they didn't explain anything, just told me to pay.

Other stories include professors postponing a bunch of classes, or straight up cancelling them (these might just be exceptions, but still it's relevant to mention) . For Communication Design, which is what I'm studying here, the classes are extremely underwhelming. I have probably learned more about communication design on Instagram reels than from this university. some professors are excluded from this description, but especially in the first semesters, where you can't choose your professors, you need LUCK.

Furthermore, this is more of a side thing, the eating situation at this uni is really bad. we used to have a cafeteria, but it got closed, allegedly due to health concerns, but these might just be rumours (I believe them tho) either way the only food that was sold there was slices of dry pizza for 3€ or so, muffins and donuts. they had a whiteboard with a "menu" of another 4-5 options, these just seemed to not be available most of the time. now there's a self-checkout fridge with snacks, drinks and to go-meals, which is honestly better than whatever the cafeteria was, but still expensive and I don't think that redeems all the other stuff I laid out.

All in all, I have almost nothing positive to say about this institution. I feel like I'm being disrespected continuously and I just know when I finish my degree here I won't even be able to take it seriously. I've thought about quitting multiple times, but was always held back because I didn't want this invested suffering to have been wasted.

I could go on and on about how much time and money I have lost to this university, but hopefully these points are enough for people to not apply here.

Seriously, just go ANYWHERE else.

Unfortunately, the University of Europe for Applied Sciences is more like a company than a university. Normally I was paying my first semester fee in installments, but suddenly they asked for the second semester fee in full in advance, I had actually enrolled in the school because there was a condition of paying in installments, and they started to send me emails like harassing me to pay the money.

I refused to pay and when I told them that I wanted to deregister, they told me that they would not deregister me until I paid the full amount. After not responding to my questions about the installment for months, they returned in bad faith that you should have notified us 2 months in advance. They still continue to send harassing e-mails and because of them, I have lost interest in education. Find yourself a real educational institution that is more respectable.

If you care about your degree and wish to deal with professionals, please do not attend this institution. The organisational aspect is horrendous, and IF they are willing to help, the staff is extremely rude and bothered by your presence. The professors are not engaged, and will bend the rules of the grading system to punish you with their own interpretation of who you are. Expect no help after you have paid them, and expect to be stuck in a loop desperate for help without them even caring.

Please read all the negative reviews before applying. There are dozens of people who have been borderline scammed by this institution.

Da una università tedesca ti aspetti precisione. Da una università privata tedesca la perfezione.
A livello amministrativo questa università sembra una sagra di paese. Prima dell'iscrizione ti rispondono al millesimo di secondo. Una volta firmato il contratto sono prevalentemente affari tuoi. Documenti già inviati chiesti più volte, risposte dopo settimane ecc... A livello formativo sembra buona. A livello amministrativo un disastro.
