Ethical and genuine

Knowing that I was dealing with an ethical site selling genuine tickets at face value prices.

Easy to register via the app (had a bit of trouble registering on the website).

Genuine, human responses from Help Desk.

Deeply grateful to the person who sold me their concert ticket via Twickets.

I have already recommended Twickets to several friends.

As a way to fill an empty evening at…

As a way to fill an empty evening at short notice in London Twickets is outstanding. The process from me making an offer for the tickets through to receiving the e tickets was good. Using PayPal for the payments does make it feel a little clunky. I like the fact that you can make an offer for the tickets.

It was my 1st time using Twickets.

It was my 1st time using Twickets.
It was very easy to find what I wanted directing me to the tickets for show. This site is very straightforward so was a great experience especially the price of the tickets. Will use this site again 100%

Twickets told me I could be paid instantly Weeks later I am still waiting

I used Twickets for the first time to sell tickets for Big Thief on 29th April. I looked at various options but was attracted by the ethics of peer to peer sales and by the information they provided that included the fact that if I used Paypal I could recieve the money paid by the buyer immediately. I proceeded to set up a Paypal account. After the payment had been made I was told by Paypal that the payment to me would be delayed until May 11th. I went on to provide photo ID and waited. I did not get paid and as far as I can ascertain from my account they need further information about my 'business'. I have provided a copy of the email from the buyer. I have had a conversation with customer care and been informed that it will take between 7 and 10 days for their customer service team to validate that information. I have communicated with Twickets who have said sorry nothing to do with us.

I have suggested that a warning that this can happen with no notice after payment has been arranged would prevent this happening to others. I made my decision to use Paypal in good faith on the basis of information on their website. It feels to me like the use of Paypal to facilitate immediate payment was part of the way their service was advertised. I am very disappointed that approaching 4 weeks later I am still waiting and wrangling.

We’re sorry to hear about your experience and appreciate how frustrating this situation has been.

To clarify, the Twickets transaction itself completed successfully and the payment was sent immediately to your PayPal account at the point of sale, as advertised. The subsequent delay has been caused by verification checks being applied directly by PayPal to your new PayPal account, rather than by the transaction or by Twickets.

From the information provided, it appears your PayPal account may have been set up as a business account. In these cases, PayPal is legally required to carry out additional identity and business verification checks before allowing funds to be withdrawn. These requirements are set entirely by PayPal and would apply regardless of where the payment originated from. This is typically a one-off verification process for business accounts, and PayPal should be able to provide more information about the checks required.

For reference, there is no requirement to use a business PayPal account with Twickets, and standard personal PayPal accounts do not normally require this additional verification process.

While we unfortunately have no visibility or control over PayPal’s internal review process, we do understand the frustration caused by the unexpected delay and appreciate the feedback you’ve shared.

Last minute bargain

I have bought and sold on Twickets for bargain last minute offers (as well as full priced ones). I like that sellers can still get rid of spare tickets late in the day whilst buyers can get a reasonable price.

I bought a ticket for Paul Simon at the Armadillo for a reasonable price, a few hours before doors opened, and thoroughly enjoyed the concert.

Pleasant exchange with seller.

Helping out fans and not ripping folk off!

So glad when I decided I couldn't make a trip to see Devo and b52s in Manchester that I was able to sell my tickets so easily to another fan. It's great to know that such good seats I bought on the day have gone to a true music fan at cost price. I've been that person before and have been able to see a sold out show I missed because I didn't realise it was on. Ticket prices on resale sites have nothing to do with music fans. This site keeps it simple and helps out those who really love music. Thank you!
