Nice and easy to list my tickets

Nice and easy to list my tickets. Fees are paid by the buyer so you have a chance of not losing too much and allowing buyers to make offers maximises the chance of a sale.
Buyers also know that they're not being scalped by a tout

Superb!

I never knew about Twickets and despite initially cautious, it’s a game changer. I got an alert and bought my tickets easily, allowing me to see the sold out Paddington just a few days after purchase. I would love for Apple Pay to available, but PayPal is fine. Will definitely use again to try and get Leslie Odom Jr tickets for Hamilton!

Loopholes with buyers Protection

I bought a ticket for Download Festival in March for £250, which was cheaper than the going rate. Everything was fine until this week, when I received an email with the seller’s terms and conditions stating: “These tickets have already sold prior to listing on Twickets.”

I was confused because the email did not explain what was happening, so I contacted Twickets to ask for clarification. They then told me that the seller does not have the tickets and that I would receive a refund.

This festival was sold out, so this seller has completely ruined my plans for the festival. I now do not know if I will be able to get another ticket in time. The seller falsely claimed to have sold the ticket, even though tickets are only sent out two weeks before the festival. On top of that, the seller had over two months to notify me about this situation.

Basically, the seller has found a loophole. If they do not actually have the ticket, all they have to do is pay an administration fee of £27, which is a complete joke. Their account is only “marked,” meaning they are still free to sell the ticket elsewhere at a higher price.

Twickets did not help at all. They did not enforce anything, nor did they even seem concerned that the seller had done this. They did not protect me in any way, and their policies contradict themselves. They claim there is no way to cancel sales, yet clearly there are loopholes if the seller claims not to have the ticket.

All Twickets did was apologise while taking no responsibility because it is supposedly “fan to fan” and therefore the seller’s fault. While I understand that, their customer service was terrible. They did not explain what was going on, and I had to contact them myself for answers. I then had to wait another day after submitting a complaint just to find out what was happening with my refund.

At the end of all this, I have no ticket, I may now have to pay significantly more if I can even find another one, and the seller has gotten away almost completely without consequences.

-To update on the response, as I said, it was a fan-to-fan sale, so this is the seller’s fault. However, your company has taken no responsibility for what has happened.

The email I received was pointless, as it only repeated the terms and conditions along with the seller’s message, rather than contacting me personally. I only received a response after I messaged again and then waited another day for a reply.

You also failed to explain what action has been taken against the seller. In my opinion, the seller should be banned, as their actions reflect negatively on your company.

We’re very sorry to hear about your experience and completely understand your disappointment.

As a fan-to-fan marketplace, we facilitate transactions between buyers and sellers, but unfortunately we cannot physically compel a seller to transfer a ticket if they refuse to do so. In this case, your seller let you down tremendously and failed to honour a confirmed sale in breach of our Terms of Service.

In line with our buyer protection policy, a full refund of £277.50, including all fees paid to Twickets, was processed back to your original payment method immediately upon your seller confirming they will not transfer the tickets.

We would also like to clarify that sellers who fail to fulfil orders do face consequences. In this instance, sanctions were applied to the seller’s account, including suspension from the platform and administrative penalties for breaching our policies.

We appreciate this does not undo the frustration caused, particularly for a popular event such as Download Festival. However, as this is a high-capacity event and there is still time before the festival, we do expect many more tickets to become available on the platform closer to the event date. In line with our ethos, tickets listed on Twickets must always be at face value plus original booking fees, or less.

We are genuinely sorry that this seller’s actions tarnished your experience with us and we appreciate your feedback.
