It's true. Tiger Direct is no longer trustworthy. They took my money immediately & then said they won't process the order (charge me) because they won't ship to a mail annex. They did charge me & now tell me I won't get my money back for 3 BUSINESS days. So almost a week. Cred card processing said they did not charge me but the money is gone. They don't even list their business on Google as Retail. It says web hosting. STAY AWAY from this company

I am visiting my elderly mother in the US from Australia and saw she needed a computer upgrade. I tried to purchase from TigerDirect but nothing on their website nor in the payment verification email I received said anything about not being able to us my overseas card to ship something to a US address. I have encountered this before, but the other websites prevent payment from even being processed so this issue does not occur. So I had to cancel my order and try to place it again using her card since the billing and shipping addresses would be the same. No luck. They would not process the order due to my previous attempt using my email address and the same product. So, payment verification took over 24 hours with several phone calls with my poor old, deaf mum trying to talk to someone on the phone with me. Finally the order is approved for processing and what happens? The computer is now out of stock and won't be available for 2-3 weeks....well past when I will be leaving to go back home. HOPELESS. Don't waste your time. For a company selling technology, they sure don't seem to use any. Ever heard of identicheck for verification? Like trying to buy something in the dark ages before the internet. What a joke.
The company no longer accepts international credit cards. Having been a customer of over 20 years and affiliated with the US military overseas, I find it unbelivable that such a large company refuses to accept credit cards even after phoning them to verify as requested just because of a non US based address. Looks like I'll be giving my business to another company that actually wants it.
TigerDirect.com used to be really great, but no more. I ordered a Grade A refurbished HP laptop and it took several days just to get the order and shipment confirmed. The worse part is that while I did receive the laptop, there were a couple of issues. I emailed and called the salesperson, but no response at all. Fortunately the refurbisher has agreed to warranty the laptop, however I should not need to do this with an item I only received two days ago. Since then I also wrote TigerDirect Customer Support, but have yet to receive a response. Horrible customer service and as such I can no longer recommend TigerDirect.
I used the option to show only items "in stock" on the TigerDirect website to make my purchase (2 Cisco switches). Two months later still no switches. I have called and e-mailed Customer Care and received varied responses, but they refuse to cancel the order. They tell me Cisco will not cancel the order. I have reminded them repeatedly that I made the purchase through TigerDirect (based on their website showing availability) and that my purchase was not through Cisco. Still, they will not cancel. AVOID the DECEPTIVE TigerDirect website, QUESTIONABLE business practices, and incredibly FRUSTRATING Customer service.
Ordered this PC and got an email confirming the order. However, when I checked on the order status later I found that it had already been cancelled. Did not get any notification of the cancellation. When i called customer service, the first one told me to just wait and the second told me the inventory was gone. On the website it seems there has been no update and you can still order. Really terrible way to run a business and makes the company look sketchy. At least notify the customer when an order is cancelled and don’t waste their time.
Paid for Standard Overnight shipping. Order was shipped FedEx Ground instead. Took several phone calls for TigerDirect to agree to refund shipping. This was not rocket science. Really poor service!
TG showed the hard drives I needed in stock. And the cheapest price around. I called and was told the drives would ship the same day. That was a Wednesday. On Monday of the next week, I had not heard a thing. I called several times between the Wednesday and Monday and was told several different lies. Finally, one person said the hard drives were being fulfilled by a 3rd party. As of typing this, they don't know if they can cancel my order because it's "packed and ready to go in their warehouse". This company is a liar! Why would you even pay for overnight shipping like me when the item is not going to ship for 5 + days???
Truly terrible customer support. After being billed twice for an order, I was bounced around between two departments with both saying they could not help. It felt like old school 1990s style call centers where you would sit on hold and get transferred around for 45 minutes until you were so fed up you had to yell at someone. It shouldn't be this hard.
TigerDirect: Thieves and Liars
Date: 04-06-2022 until 06-10-2022
Issue: I'll make this as simple as possible. We ordered 2 UPS in 2 different orders on 04-06-2022 that showed as "In Stock."
We were given a delivery date in April around the 15th. Order did not come. Contacted cs by phone.
New delivery date on 05-29-2022. Order did not come. Contacted cs by phone - given new delivery date - I asked if this date was absolute and ironclad - they assured me it was.
New delivery date on 06-10-2022. Today is the 10th. I called support and asked them if this order is still going to arrive today - our clients who have been waiting for over 2 months. They said no. New date, the 14th. I said give me a manager. They said they'll call you back. I said no, I'll hold...1 hour and 20 minutes, nothing. Still no call from a manager.
This is the worst customer service and the worst management of a company of this scale I have seen. We will never do business with TD again. I requested a refund for my client. I have no expectation they will actually do it. They have openly lied each step of this process. I have no faith in this company and I hope this dissuades others from ever doing business here again.
They are horrible. Order an item that says it will ship soon. Oh wait the status is Drop Shipper. That means they gave it to there outside vendor. Let's wait 2 weeks or maybe cancel the order. Sorry can't do that because the vendor won't respond. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. Its like the online electronics spirit airlines.

I have been a TigerDirect customer for over 25-years and I never had any issues until this past order. I paid for my order in full then low and behold I was double-billed for the more expensive item. I called TigerDirect's customer service where I was told to call their credit department, the idiot on the phone wouldn't even transfer me! I called their credit department where I was subjected to upsell ad after upsell ad each one lasting a minimum of one minute! There wasn't a way to decline the ad and if you did you were hung-up on! I never got to speak to an actual person! I proceeded to call customer service where I was hung-up each and everytime ten times. When I finally got hold of a customer service representative, I told him my experience and the double-billing issue and the fact I never reached anyone in their credit department. He said he was going to check into my issue and call me back. That was Thursday and I'm still waiting for that callback. I warned TigerDirect I will be going to financial institution and reporting their billing as fraud. I have pulled my business and my residential accounts from this piece of crap business! I am done with TigerDirect!
Ordered a certified refurbished HP X360 on 19 January.
Unit arrived the following week. Charged it for two days, but the battery would not charge past 79%.
Was told to contact CNB for Repair, and they subsequently shipped a replacement battery, but in the meantime, we discovered the track pad did not work correctly, contacted CNB again, and was told to ship the unit back with the battery in the same box when received, and they would cross ship, which they did, another unit.This one only charges up to 62%. So, I understand the refund policy of 30 days from date of purchase, but this set of shipping things back and forth gave us only a few days to figure out if the unit worked right. They now say too bad its their policy, since it's been 30 days since purchase, even though 16 days of that was transit in shipping. They really suck, and as a customer of theirs for over 20 years, I'm done, and I suggest you do not do business with them either. Customer service this bad deserves to be communicated so that others can make a choice if
they want to risk getting into a bad situation.

HORRIBLE customer service, IMPOSSIBLE to place an order. 3 weeks and I got something, singular, I didn't order in place of 3 items
I wanted and they sent me an email telling me I already have what I ordered and that it shipped 10 days ago, 7 days before the replacement order was actually made!!
When I contacted them, they said that if I checked the (incorrect) email they sent: I DID in fact get the items I ordered!!
And this included EIGHTY minutes on the phone to make the order!!
AVOID like the plague!!!!

"I ordered an External Hard Drive from TigerDirect and it could not be delivered in a timely manner. After countless contacts, I had the order cancelled and confirmed online that that indeed was the status. The item got shipped anyway and I could not get the item stopped. Before delivery, I contacted the seller and asked for an RMA in order to get a quick return. I was told they could not do that but to deny the delivery. I kept denying delivery with FEDEX but after the third time it was dropped off without any interaction that I could provide. I then called TIGERDIRECT and asked for a RMA and that was two weeks ago. I explained to the rep it was due to their error to begin with but it was talking to a stone wall. Still waiting for a RMA that should have been provided earlier. I am still in daily contact with TigerDirect fro a RMA but just get the scripted response of we wil put a priority on it and it will be resolved . What TigerDirect is doing is either getting close to violating FTC regulations or have crossed the line. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE."
Purchased a printer represented on the website only to find out after the delivery the representation was not the correct. Requested Customer Service to remediate the error to no avail. With all the major competitors out there I really see no reason to do business with this vendor. Highly questionable business practices and would encourage potential customers to shop at a more reputable company that actually have customer service.
