⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding care
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding care, compassion and kindness for 15 years
It’s hard to put into words just how amazing this veterinary practice has been to us over the past 15 years.
They have cared for our beloved cat, Tobias Eyre, and our beautiful Boxer, Sugar Murray, and the care, compassion and kindness shown to both our babies has been nothing short of exceptional.
Every single member of the team, from the vets to the receptionists, has always gone above and beyond. You can genuinely see that every animal comes first, and that their comfort, wellbeing and dignity are at the heart of everything they do. We have never felt like just another customer, and our pets have always been treated with such love and care.
Sadly, last night we had to say goodbye to our precious Tobias, and once again, the team showed us such compassion during one of the hardest moments a pet owner can face. We would also particularly like to mention Loran, who helped us say goodbye to our beloved Sugar over seven years ago. That kindness has stayed with us all these years, and we will never forget it.
Now that Tobias has gone, it is heartbreaking to think we won't be visiting the practice anymore. After 15 years, you become so much more than just a vet. You become the people you trust with your family, the people who reassure you when you're worried, and the people who help you through the most heartbreaking goodbyes.
We wanted to leave this review because the whole team deserves to know how appreciated they are. Veterinary work isn't always easy, and we hope they realise the lasting impact their kindness has on the families they care for.
Thank you to every single one of you for everything you have done for Tobias and Sugar over the years. You have been absolutely amazing, and we will always be grateful that our babies were lucky enough to have you looking after them.
We couldn't have asked for a better team to care for our babies. Thank you for 15 years of kindness, compassion and going above and beyond. You will never be forgotten. ❤️🐾

I’m not usually one to write a review…
I’m not usually one to write a review but after discussing my experience at the Feltham practice this week with my husband he advised that I do. Thankfully my cat is fine but my issue is with the staff. Their whole attitude, admin and veterinary, was appalling. I was made to feel belittled, dismissed and like I was a neglectful pet owner, for something that was no fault of mine and also unavoidable. I would have made a complaint whilst I was there but as I said before the attitude echoed throughout all the staff. I find this practice very uncaring for somewhere that deals with peoples pets which they consider family. Avoid at all cost, unless you want to leave distressed and upset.

Took my little dog today to get his nails cut at the pet vet Feltham a new vet’s just opened they are absolutely brilliant. The young girl on reception Michelle so helpful and really good at her job and also a very pretty young girl. The young vet we saw was very good and very professional and the price was unbelievably reasonable.if you are looking for a vet for any reason this is the vet to go too they are so good and professional if you have and animal or pet I would really recommend these vets to go too because they are so professional and good and Michelle at the front is a diamond

the Nurses were great BUT
the Nurses were great, the bad review however is for the admin or lack of and money first attitude, after having my pet put to sleep and was in a period of mourning i myself had to chase the vets on multiple occasions to respond to the insurance company for basic details, the impression i was given was as i had already paid up front which is there push policy they just were not interested, wouldn't recommend and will not use again.
Don't use Portsmouth the pet vet
I have always had issue to get a written solenia injection then they gave me one then 6months later I had a medication recheck with the vet and then I had a email two week after seeing the vet to say no I can't have a written prescription with out any reason. I am in a veterinary industry so I know I have done everything and my last vet show me how to do this and I have done for many years. When I took my cat for her health check with the nurse for her blood pressure they gave me her results but I question it as it was not my cat name on it but they corrected there miss take and told me that the nurse has dyslexia and sorry but I said that is not an excuse for this big miss take as if she had high blood pressure and needs to go on treatment my insurance will not pay as it did not have my cat correct details. Then I took my African greys parrots in and she was not well and they contaimanted her blood and did not fill the index form out correctly then made me to sign a waizer for there miss take which they can kill a beloved pets which they have incompetent staff. Now I have been banned because I been asking for reasons . So people don't use this vet in Portsmouth they are rubbish and just after money they don't care about any pets or pet welfare.
A Concern Regarding the Reception Team…
A Concern Regarding the Reception Team Pet Vet Lincoln
We and our dogs have always been treated so warmly by the Reception staff. They are always polite, welcoming, friendly, and genuinely willing to help. They are a wonderful part of the practice and deserve to be treated with the same respect and care that they show to clients.
That is why I was heartbroken to see that they currently have no proper chair or desk.
While I was waiting, I witnessed one of the receptionists holding a tablet with one hand, writing with the other, and holding the telephone between her neck and shoulder. This was honestly awful to see. Has a risk assessment been carried out for this working arrangement? Holding a telephone in this way for prolonged periods could potentially cause neck, shoulder, or back problems.
It is also very difficult for customers to make payments comfortably when there is no suitable desk or counter. This is particularly challenging when you have something in your hands, such as a dog lead or even the dog itself.
What upset me even more was seeing a member of staff who had a broken leg having to stand up for a client, even though the client had not asked her to do so. I found this extremely upsetting and unnecessary, especially given her condition.
A company that does not provide its staff with basic, safe and respectful working conditions risks losing good people. You may not realise what a wonderful team you have in Lincoln. I genuinely feel very sorry for the Receptionists, who continue to provide excellent customer service despite these conditions.
In every customer-service environment I have worked in or visited—including hotels, where I have extensive experience—Reception staff are normally provided with suitable chairs, desks and proper working conditions,in the last few years,as part of Health ans Safety.
I sincerely hope that management will reconsider this situation, carry out an appropriate risk assessment, and provide the Reception team with suitable seating and a proper workstation. They deserve to feel valued and respected.
Many vets have already left the practice, and it would be a real shame to see the Receptionists leave as well. They are an important part of the practice, and I hope their wellbeing and working conditions will be taken seriously.
GREAT PRACTICE WITH EXCELLENT STAFF
My dog has been unwell over the last couple of weeks and been seen several times. On every occasion we received first class service. On the last occasion was seen within an hour of making the appointment. The staff are very helpful, caring, empathetic and kind.
Particular shout outs to Havia, Kate and Georgia.
Georgia must be commended for her customer care /communication skills, professionalism, tenacity in dealing with issues and keeping me updated at all times. She is a star!
I would like to say how compassionate…
I would like to say how compassionate and empathetic the staff are at Pet Vet Southampton. Our dog was taken ill a few months ago and we sought help from the vet. We were able to get an appointment very quickly and after some tests, which were not free but were certainly a lot cheaper than the vet practice in our own village. We had a diagnosis that meant that our dog Teddy had lymphoma. We were able to have a very frank conversation with the vet about treatment options. He was caring but also clear about what was possible and what would happen to Teddy. We want to thank the vets as the steroids Teddy was prescribed kept him going strong for nearly six weeks. In the end we were able to give him a send off at home surrounded by his family. The Pet Vets in Southampton sent us a beautiful condolence card with some flower seeds to plant. This was so thoughtful and arrived a couple of days after Ted left us. I would thoroughly recommend this practice. They are there when you need them and they keep the costs down too.

Shambles of an organisation, they just want your money. I've been taking my rabbit there since 2023, she needs work on her teeth.
Sorry, we don't do that anymore. Wait, what? Also, here's a place we recommend that is 2HRS away!
Sorry, we don't know how to look after rabbits anymore - the bloke that did left last year.
Find a local vet, pay a little extra if you can.
The Pet Vet is brilliant
As always the pet vet is a brilliant place to take your pet to be treated.
I recently wrote a review about our black kitten having a Pyometra on google reviews and how well our girl was looked after.
This is another one regarding the sister of that kitten.
I bought nova in as she had hurt her leg due to what we think may be a dog attack. She was in a lot of pain and we didn’t know what we were going to do.
Novas vet FIONA has been brilliant caring for her. We were treated as an emergency straight away as we had been to an emergency vet the previous night. Nova was kept in for the day and examined and treated for her pain. All while Fiona was making sure to try and keep it as affordable as she could for us.
We have been given so much reassurance that with treatment she will be okay.
Nova still had a long road to recovery but we can’t thank the team enough for your continued care and communication.
Great Caring Vets
We've used The Pet Vet at both Rotherham and Nottingham and cannot say enough nice things about them. They were the first vets to listen to me when I suspected something was off with my first Lurcher and whilst it was too late to cure her they helped us manage things and when the time came helped us with Dignity and Care. We have two bouncy greyhounds now registered with the Nottingham practice and they are fantastic with them and actually do care for your pets. Don't listen to the Negative reviews as these are outliers.

I recently visited the Pet Vet…
I recently visited the Pet Vet Warrington because my dog was in severe discomfort . Her back legs kept collapsing the Vet was Excellent with his examination of her explaining everything she had disconnected nerves from her neck to the base of her spine. Also she had a heart murmur. it was my decision to have her put to sleep. The staff were excellent in everything they did .

The vets and recepionist in here are amazing especially greigoiry (sorry if I spelt your name wrong, brilliant vet so happy
SHOCKING and UNORGANISED.
SHOCKING. Booked in for 11.45 purely just to have a 5 minute check up so the vet could write my dog a prescription. Miscommunication with the receptionist who told me to order his tablets and they would send my prescription through, to then get told he needs to visit the vet for a check up. 1 hour of waiting frustrated amimals in the waiting room for the vet to tell me he will do me one prescription for 45 tablets. I’d already been told by the receptionist to order 90 tablets which I had and had paid for waiting for the vets prescription. The vet then wrote the prescription and the receptionist had sent it to viovet so my order could be dispatched, days later still no prescription sent I had to ring the vets back up and it had been sent to the wrong place. Just a very unorganised place in my opinion my dog had to be without his medication for a week due to the unorganisation.
caring & compassionate
Avoid - Warrington Vet Pet
Avoid – Communication issues, oversight, and broken promisesI brought my pet in because he had stopped eating, was drooling with a discharge, and was visibly spitting out his food. I explicitly told the vet I suspected a mouth issue. During the consultation, the vet explained that she could not see clear signs of pain or mouth discomfort and therefore did not prescribe pain relief, despite my reassurances that his behaviour at home showed he was in distress. Instead, she suggested £300 blood tests to investigate further.By the next morning, my pet had deteriorated severely, and a significant part of his tongue was lost to a massive infection. When I raised this with the clinic, they explained that mouth injuries can develop rapidly and that the vet had not detected the issue during the exam. However, the clinic's own medical records confirm that I had repeatedly flagged my concerns about his mouth during the visit. To address the situation, I was offered a complimentary follow-up appointment. The receptionist, Adam, personally assured me we would see the same vet he saw the following day to track his progress consistently and discuss any issue’s. When we arrived, we were seen by a different vet who informed us that the original vet was not working that weekend. When I spoke to Adam at the desk, he seemed completely unaware of our previous arrangement even though he had been the one who had promised it.I have since moved my pet's care to an independent practice to ensure better continuity of care.
I took my pet her as she was in pain…
I took my pet her as she was in pain and I did not no what was wrong the vet I seen told me it could be one of 3 things including spine /arthritis and something else I was charged £85 pound she got a injection of anti- inflammatory and bottle of same stuff but not as strong. After another 4 days of pain and nothing to eat AT ALL or drink AT ALL I then took her for a second apinion and they found what was wrong in 30 seconds I was so disappointed in this so I went back and explained that I was not happy with this or the fees I was charged for nothing at all but they seem to not care or bothered by this situation.it is disgraceful I have lost all that money for nothing . (BE CAREFUL)
I would not recommend The Pet Vet…
I would not recommend The Pet Vet Rotherham.
Only weeks after our dog Dolly was last seen at this practice, a vet at another practice discovered a large necrotic abdominal mass within minutes of examining her. The mass was approximately the size of a large orange and required urgent surgery, despite Dolly having been examined at The Pet Vet only weeks earlier where no mass had been identified.
Histology later confirmed a large necrotising ovarian tumour together with severe chronic uterine disease including pyometra, indicating that the condition had been developing over time rather than appearing suddenly.
Dolly first presented with these symptoms in October 2025, yet the condition requiring urgent surgery was only identified in March 2026 after we sought a second opinion at another veterinary practice.
Given the size of the mass and the chronic nature of the disease later confirmed on histology, it was difficult for us to understand how this had not been identified earlier.
We fully accept that Dolly would ultimately have required surgery. However, had the condition been identified earlier she would not have had to suffer severe symptoms for such an extended period of time.
Dolly had been seen at the practice on numerous occasions between October 2025 and February 2026, and we also had several telephone discussions with the veterinary team during this time, as her symptoms continued without resolution.
During this period she received consultations, tests and multiple courses of antibiotics. Much of the focus during this time appeared to be on treating a suspected urinary tract infection, despite her symptoms continuing.
On a number of occasions I spoke directly with a senior vet about my concerns and was reassured that Dolly was likely fine and did not need to be seen again at that stage, despite the symptoms continuing.
The notes show that only an AFAST/TFAST abdominal ultrasound was performed. Despite advertising a 128-slice CT scanner for advanced imaging, this option was never discussed or offered and only a basic scan was used that cannot properly assess structures such as the ovaries.
Given that Dolly initially presented with severe bleeding from her vulva, it was extremely concerning to us that more advanced imaging available at the practice was never discussed.
In total we spent over £4,000 on Dolly’s veterinary care.
We raised our concerns directly with the practice and attempted mediation through the Veterinary Client Mediation Service, however the practice declined to take part.
Thankfully Dolly has now had surgery and is recovering well, but this experience was extremely distressing for our family.
Awful.
Awful company with awful staff. Left a detailed review on Google for this place a while ago.
Glad to see the majority of reviews here are negative. Truth will out, as they say.
Here is that review:
Absolutely awful creature supposedly in charge of the receptionists at the front desk called ‘Natalie’. Horrible to deal with and extremely rude. We won’t be giving this place our business purely based on her bad attitude. Great way to put off new customers.
It’s worth mentioning we were surprised by the extreme mark-up on prescription items. We were charged around £50 for each item on our prescription for ear drops and ear cleaner. At the time of our first review, both of these items online are available for a total of £30. That’s £70 wasted on nothing but mark-ups. I would avoid purchasing anything from them that can be obtained online. We offered to return the items (sealed and still boxed) for a refund, but they don’t do this as it’s ‘against policy’. Fair enough, but good to know for future reference.
In regards to the encounter we had with the ‘Customer Experience Manager’. We walked in for our follow-up appointment and were completely ignored for several minutes as she was on the phone, with no acknowledgement of us at all we stood and waited, which is fine. We got talking to a couple with a puppy the same breed as our dog in the meantime.
After she was finished with her call, we told her we have an appointment that we had scheduled for 12:45pm. I misspoke at this point as I was looking at my phone for the time and almost said 1:45. She heard me say one and then looked for us on the system. Her already unwelcoming attitude completely changed at this point and she told us we had missed our appointment as it was 11:45am.
My partner and I are both professionals who monitor our calendars quite strictly and at our previous appointment had stood and entered our appointment into our phones separately at the point of making it with the receptionist at the time. The likelihood of us both entering it incorrectly is slim to none. Mistakes happen and I showed her my phone so she could see that’s what I had it down as. At this point her attitude went a step further as if she was playing up for the audience as the other couple were now in the queue behind us. She said ‘well you said 1 earlier and then changed your story, which is it?’ – which is an extremely odd and hostile thing to say in that setting. Rather than being impressed by her the couple behind us made eye contact with us and were equally as surprised by how hostile she was being toward us.
At this point I asked my partner if she ‘was for real’ as I was in disbelief that she was actually behaving like this and speaking with such a poor attitude after we had been nothing but polite.
We then shook our heads and asked when the next available appointment was. She asked us ‘Well, do you work?’ I informed her that it doesn’t matter either way, and asked for the next available appointment. She then questioned us again if we work. It took three attempts back and forth to get her to divulge the next appointment. We then entered it into our phones again and went to leave and she clearly sarcastically offered to write it down for us and made a show of making sure we were handed it on a card. This is normal in most settings but it was the way she insinuated that we couldn’t be trusted, was patronizing and made us walk back up to the desk for the card.
We contacted the place after leaving this review to check if the prescription we had already paid for was repeating and were told no. We then received an email from the personal work account of the person this review revolves around accusing us of being ‘abusive and derogatory’. We didn’t reply. We received another email previous to the reply by the MD here from the ‘area manager’ stating that as we’re abusive, they are withdrawing their services and instruct their staff to report this abuse to the police. The letter was as bizarre as our encounter in the branch as we were nothing but polite. We have at no point been abusive. We are the ones who felt attacked.
We now have a call with the MD to discuss after she reached out from this review. What an utter joke that call was.
