Great for Jellycat

I collect the vegetable jellycats and ordered a broccoli from them, it arrived quickly in very safe packaging and in perfect condition looks exactly like the picture. I’ll be ordering from them again 👍

Scammers

My partner ordered a JellyCat through this store. The quality of this was disgraceful, and I am not entirely sure it’s genuine. We sent it back to be called liars and accused of washing the product. I had it for 24 hours, why would I wash it!
I have other jelly cats which have been washed and their quality is still better than a brand new jelly cat from this website. Spoke to a manager who said the products is ‘damp and smells of washing detergent’ which is impossible because it hasn’t been washed. This company are happy to send out and charge people for faulty/ fake products but are unhappy to refund them.
Don’t buy from this website unless you want poor customer service and terrible products.
I have had to contact jelly cat and trading standards to try resolve this issue because management can’t!

Terrible Quality Control and Even Worse Customer Service

Ordered a JellyCat through this store for my girlfriend for our 1 year anniversary as a present, upon arriving the quality wasn't the best but at the time I was none the wiser as I've never owned one, I wrapped it and gave it to my girlfriend on the date of our anniversary and she told me it wasn't right all the threads were sticking out and the quality was no way near right, we then elected to send it back to check as something didn't seem right with it, after sending it back we have been accused it has 'Obviously been washed' by Sharon Norman when it's been inside gift wrap and my partner had had it for 24 HOURS and we have done absolutely nothing to it, apparently the product was still damp it's genuinely ridiculous to be called a liar and accused of dishonesty when we have done absolutely nothing we were not happy with the quality and have been made out to be liars, worst customer experience if you have the option between the product you want from here or going without, save yourself the time and go without.

Great seller for gifts

Was looking everywhere for a couple of hard to find Jellycats. A search popped up with this company. After reading reviews, I took the plunge and ordered. I have to say this first time customer will be returning.

Items were despatched quickly with traceable postage and both Jellycat came as described.

No issues at all and just a great business to deal with

Quick and efficient.

I ordered an item at the weekend, which was delivered by the following Wednesday. Speedy, efficient and simple with good communication throughout. I would very much recommend.

order not fully sent yet charged for

I ordered and paid for 3 pairs of socks that was needed as Christmas gifts but sadly only 1 pair was sent out in the biggest box (what a waste of packaging)
my confirmation email stated all pairs would be dispatched and ive had nothing to say why whey wasn't nor did I get a refund so very unhappy and wouldn't recommend

This is a terrible company

This is a terrible company.

As a first time customer, I am simply unaware of limit per person for some popular items. And the only reason why I exceed is just because I want to get a free shipping. AND then a stuff cancelled my order and just accused me of ‘clearly found a workaround on our site which bypasses this rule’. As a first time customer, how would I know these hacks. And how terrible is it for the head of technical to just accuse customer like this.

It’s clearly a terrible accusation that would make everyone very unhappy amid of this festive season.

So just don’t buy from this store if you want to enjoy life. A waste of time in communication with such rude people.

Thank you for your review expressing unhappiness at the decisions taken regarding your recent order, and the way those decisions were conveyed to you.

We make it clear on our website that there are limitations with regard to multiples of individual Jellycat products that can be bought on any order. Jellycat is currently in huge demand, so we have imposed a limit on all our customers to try to ensure that the maximum number of genuine customers can acquire the products they seek.
However, I agree that my colleague’s use of the phrase “workaround” in his correspondence with you was unfortunate because it implied intent on your part to circumvent our terms of business and you have subsequently assured us this was a mistake. Frustratingly, we have had a number of customers trying to circumvent our rules on the number of Jellycat items which can be purchased, - we suspect in some cases, with the intention of re-selling the items. Since our terms of business with Jellycat forbid us from selling to anyone who intends to re-sell the product, we are extremely cautious about orders which break our rules, hence the decision to cancel your order in full. We do of course accept your explanation that this was a mistake.

I am very sorry that you have had a bad experience on this occasion, and I hope you will give us the chance to do better in the future. But once again may I stress, that you must order within our terms of business.

May I take this opportunity to wish you and your family a very happy Christmas.

I much prefer giving praise but...

I much prefer giving praise to a company.
After paying for an order through Amazon pay, I received a mail saying it was declined. I reordered the next day on their site. I ended up being charged for both. It cost me two lots of postage to return one of the parcels £7.90. I tried to explain to customer services but they wouldn't accept there had been a glitch causing both orders to go through. Not happy. A costly experience.

Big shoutout to this fab company!
I’ve had so many delays and problems with parcels missing etc this Christmas (from other companies) so thought it would be nice to highlight a fabulous transaction! Placed an online order (for items that were out of stock at 2 other stores but found them here) paid for order and everything was packaged carefully and delivered very next day. Brilliant service!!! I keep forgetting to shop with them (probably because they don’t spam my emails like bigger store do) but every time I do, it’s just an utter joy! Thank you so much:)

Wax Melt Fiasco

I ordered 3 'Black Friday reduced price' Yankee Candle Wax Melts from Temptation Gifts, intended as a cheap-ish stocking filler.
Whilst individually these were cheap items, collectively, with the additional (rather substantial) postage price, they amounted to pretty much standard high-street retail price.
Upon delivery I discovered that 2 of these items were unsealed, with the peel away front packaging completely non-adhered, and no sign of residue to indicate that they were previously sealed, which seemed odd.
The postal packaging used (a disproportionately large box and rough packing paper) seemed rather poorly chosen for small, loose items, allowing for lots of movement in transit, so I gave the benefit of the doubt that this may have caused the damage to product packaging during the delivery process.
I immediately emailed Temptation, with photo proof, to which in fairness they responded within less than 24hrs, saying that they would send out 2 replacements promptly (which is the reason I have given a 2 star rating).
I have received the replacements as a next day delivery, and guess what?
The same oddly chosen packaging, and 2 wax melts that are not only again completely unsealed, but with one being completely scentless.
Within the initial email response from customer service it was stated,
'We do ensure that they are fully attached when they are packaged, however, as the lids are designed to be easily removable for customers, in transit they can sometimes be shifted by the packaging, resulting in them beginning to peel'
With this in mind, and given the nature of complaint, it seems unfathomable that they would use exactly the same delivery packaging to send out replacement items!

I now find it hard to believe that Temptation aren't knowingly sending damaged/seconds/out of date stock (as mentioned in other reviews).
This is not mentioned during the advertising/sales process.
Having prompt customer service is not a substitute for selling inferior product, or (should the product be legitimate) using appropriate packaging for transit.
As such, I simply cannot recommend this company.
I could go through a protracted and annoying process to (again) raise this issue, but frankly can't be bothered. Instead, I shall simply honestly review my experience...
The only legitimate 'melts' associated with Temptation Gifts appear to be running the business.

Thank you for your review. I’m very sorry to hear that you have had a negative experience with us. Please be assured that all of our Yankee products come directly from Yankee Candle themselves. These items are quality checked by their team as well as ours, both when the stock is received and again prior to dispatch. I’m sorry to hear that on this occasion the wax melts did not arrive intact. We have recently contacted Yankee Candle regarding the glue being used to seal the wax melts, as we have recently encountered more issues with them arriving unstuck. Previously this has not been a problem.

I would like to reiterate that these items are checked prior to dispatch. We would never knowingly send a faulty or damaged item to a customer and always aim to resolve any order issues that we are made aware of. I do apologise that both your original order and replacements arrived in this condition. Please may I ask you to send us a photo of the wax melts you’ve now received to customerservice@temptationgifts.com with your order number in the subject line and on this occasion we will offer a part refund or a prepaid returns label so that the items can be returned for a full refund.

My sincerest apologies for any disappointment this has caused.

Perfectly UNSATISFIED

I am perfectly UNSATISFIED with this shop in Henley-on-Thames. Rude staff, who tries to overcharge you. If you take back something, they do NOT give back your money, but you must spend at them from an unwanted/useless item to other useless/ unwanted one.
Couple of days ago the shopkeeper served a lady earlier then me, just because she had more items in her hand to buy.
I took back 2 cards, and the young girl wanted to charge me for them, even I clearly said I take them BACK. Though they do NOT give back money, I asked their gift card, and had the nearly £10.00 on it. Later I decided to go back and buy stamps at them, just using up my own money for something useful. The price was around £13.00 , and the older shopkeeper, after giving the gift card with over £10.00 on it , that my payment is nearly £11.00! Maybe they should go back to the primary school to have some basic Mathematics classes! It happened with me in about 10 minutes there, and at last the manager came and solved the simple math problem, if you need to pay £13.00 and you own over £1.00 on them, you should NOT pay over £11.00 to them. No more temptation at Temptation. Their gifts are NOT unique or better any way, than other gift shops in Henley, but I can prove, their staff is rude and they try to cheet you and take advantage on you!
Averagely awful experience at Temptation!! AWOID Temptation!!!
GO to VINEGAR HILL GIFT SHOP, where you can have professional service, you have back your money if you take back something, and they have never tried to overcharge me.
Or go to STOCKS, where you can find a nice gift selection, not just clothing.

One item is not satisfied

I ordered over 100 pounds worth items. Only one item was not satisfied. The Sarah Miller pen case. The Zip part was dense and not completely closed to the end. The shop send it replacement but still the zip didn't close to the end. I don't know why they just make sure the product is absolutely OK or not. The zip supposed to be close properly. Other staff are no problem at all. So, I will leave 3 stars, I am afraid.

Outstanding delivery service

I found a retired jellycat which I desperately wanted, googled for Bailey Sloth and temptation gifts was the first website that showed had him in stock and for a very reasonable price.

An exact time stamp of Stanley the sloths journey;

I purchased him yesterday at 3pm - I paid paid for priority delivery cos I hate waiting. I got the dispatched notification at 5pm and he was delivered at 10.30am today.

He was well packaged and although it doesn’t arrive in the jellycat boxing I really am not fussed cause that would just end up in the recycling.

I’m really impressed with the delivery time and highly recommend for my fellow jellycat fans 🩷
