I used to like the quality economic and business commentary in the Telegraph and was a long time reader. However it appears to have become dogmatic and idealogically aligned to a rather extreme right wing view of the world. This has tainted what should be objective commentary. If you have ultra right wing views that you need re-enforcing this maybe for you.

Telegraph always publishes racist specifically anti Muslim racist articles. As a young British Muslim every time I read its contents it hurts me, I feel I am not wanted I donnot belong, its very painful. The worst part is they are never accurate , truth is always twisted for racist agendas. It's poor journalism overall.
Bunch of lying homophobic scumbags
Don’t accept free trial
Offered a free (4 month) trial with no grace cancellation period after the first 2 weeks (who is going to remember that!). Disingenuous and sly, all just to get £15.

Review of The Telegraph Online Experience
I recently accessed an article from The Telegraph via the Google feed, which prompted me to provide my email address to read it for free. However, after submitting my information, I was disappointed to find I was then directed to sign up for a paid service instead of gaining the promised access. This approach felt misleading, as it seemed more like a tactic to collect personal information without delivering on the initial offer. Overall, a very disappointing experience. I invite The Telegraph to comment on this matter.
Subscription renewal
Was going to cancel subs only due to increased (but not unexpected) subs increase.
Rang DT subs team today and renegoated a fair price and I accepted. No hard sell and agent was very professional as expected.
Don't know why others say they can't cancel subs - yes you can by phone. No business wants to lose paying customers and want you to stay and have a conversation. You can always say "no thanks" and cancel.
If you want quality jouralism, you have to pay - it's that simple. If you don't - then cancel it's that simple.
Miserable Journalism - Won't Renew
Been a reader for years and now I honestly feel like it's affecting my mental health.
Positives: Global Event, Sport, Business and the big issues of the day generally well covered.
However every day (and I do mean daily) more toxic sludge is added to the platform that covers at least one of these topic:
1 - There is no problem that cannot be solved by more tax breaks and support for the poor Buy-to-Let Investors and Landlords.
2 - Millennials and Gen Z are lazy and ruining the country. While never evolving with Technology past 1975 is a touted as a virtue.
3 - Endless Conservative party politics and the willingness to pretend Kemi B is now competent.
4 - Absolutely every single thing the Labour party does or say is wrong. (which is correct 99% of the time, but an honest account of the 1% is important).
5 - "how I'm struggling on £100k" articles / how tuition fees will bring about the apocalypse.
Over 6 months left on my subscription but I'll be uninstalling the App. I don't need this constant bitter and resentful ranting in my life.
Incredibly difficult to cancel
I cancelled my subscription recently because, while I had signed up to seek a wider range of viewpoints, the unexpected level of pro-trumpism and borderline climate change denial I found is not something I wish to make a financial contribution to.
Cancelling can only be done on the phone, and boy was it a difficult and long phone call. I can imagine elderly and other vulnerable people being cowed into giving up on cancelling because of the level of assertivness that was required to actually get them to cancel my subscription.
Just horrible
Just horrible. It pops up on my feed when I open a new web page, and not once do they have a positive headline.
These are literally the taking points for that one horrible man that sits at the bar in the pub. Urgh.
top tip
top tip - avoid subscribing to digital/app - its a scam - editorial may be great but digital service is poorly managed and difficult to cancel once they have your credit card details - i am 12 minutes into a conversation whilst i type and they refuse to cancel my sub until i provide them feedback on whether i have 'enjoyed' the content so far....
Best balanced professional newspaper in the UK
Unlike most left wing newspapers in the UK, the Daily Telegraph provides robust balanced news.
Often Labour as well as Conservative MPs provide articles. Labour Ministers often use articles to justify their proposals.
This is in stark contrast with the neo-communist Guardian and I where extreme left wing views or fake news is provided without any attempt at balance or integrity.
Yes, you do need to pay to read it, just like with the Times etc. Professional journalism is not free.
Yes, like many companies at renewal the offered price goes up. However, I always got an email and after a short call with their membership department you can typically get a massive reduction. Just be polite.
Annoying Telegraph articles on line because you can't read them!
If you're including The Telegraph on line ~ I can't read it now unless I pay. There is article after article put up and you can't see them ~ only the first headlines and a couple of snippets to draw you in......then nothing ~ just the pay request. Soooooo annoying littered allover Google Chrome.
A grim reading experience
I subscribed to the Telegraph to seek alternative viewpoints of the news, as I also subscribe to the Guardian and thought it would be good for balance for the opinions. The reporting is really poor quality and incredibly, disingenuously selective of quotes and events, which means I cannot trust it as a source of news. It seems purely motivated by whipping up the anger and therefore engagement of subscribers, which means the comments section is one of the worst and most depressing I've seen.
I cancelled within a day and fortunately this seems to have worked, unlike other unlucky people here.
Such worrying and miserable times we live in, so sad that we can't rely on the news to report accurately.
Shocking reporting
Zero subscription reminders or notices.
I would like to preface this review by saying that I am a digital native. I am very comfortable with technology and grew up on the internet. So imagine my surprise when I found out that I had been charged £24.99 for a Digital Telegraph subscription that I did not recall agreeing to. And then finding out I had been charged £24.99 for the past three months.
I initially had absolutely no idea how this occured but I can assure you that I would not have voluntarily paid this amount. It wasn't until speaking to my partner that he reminded me we signed up for a 33p trial in September, to use one single article. This trial was not stored in my Google subscriptions, as all other trial subscriptions are. I received no confirmation email and no communication of any sort to remind me, or to indicate that I was about to move to a paid subscription.
For the three months that I unknowingly paid a fortune, I received no payment confirmation emails. Therefore these payments were taken without any warning or confirmation; perhaps in the hopes that I wouldn't notice (correct). When I accessed my Telegraph account, I found that I did not even have my payment details linked to my account which begs the question: how on earth did they keep my payment details in the first place?
I have contacted the Telegraph to request an immediate refund. Failing that, I will contact my bank to request a chargeback. I am shocked at how this managed to occur, and angered that this could happen to others who do not have the knowledge or tools to easily check their banking statements or subscriptions. Accessing a single article has cost me £75.
Cancelling a newspaper subscription at its worst.
Surprising the DT does not reply to the scathingly criticism of the way it handles its cancellation process of it's digital subscription service.
In August 24, I had exactly the same experience as many have posted - trying to cancel was a absolute nightmare, I considered it "pressure selling" at its absolute worst.
The renewal price went from 29.99 to 260.00 in one foul sweep.
I called the 0800 number to cancel - immediately I said I want to cancel, the price dropped from 260 to 60, I said cancel, the price dropped again to 40, I said cancel, immediately, I was told I could renew at same price as last year of 29.99 - I said cancel as I refuse to accept any form of "pressure selling".
Finally, I was told the subscription would be cancelled. Within 5 minutes, I received a email confirming cancellation. What a total relief I thought, until 2 weeks later, when I was horrified to see that my Credit Card had been charged with the full amount of 260.00.
I must give credit to DT as, when I called the 0800 number to complain, the 260 was refunded within 3 days.
My point of posting this is that it appears that the DT has listened and, recently decided that, if you pay by using Google Wallet, you can cancel via the GW app. and no longer need to put up with the "high pressure" selling from the DT call centre.
DT bosses who made it very, very difficult to cancel, should hold their heads in shame.
I am waiting, at this time, for DT to confirm that you can actually cancel the subscription via the GW app. without the need for a phone call.

Great Customer Service
I’ve just made a call to customer services with an issue - I was fed up and wanted to cancel my subscription - I spoke to a lovely guy and then I was put through to the lovely Calum in customer services - who was a perfect example of a professional, courteous, empathetic employee. He handled my enquiry with ease and helped me with my enquiry and even managed to upsell me! I came in the call committed to cancelling but Calum made me change my mind - I own a business with many call handlers and I can only say - you are very lucky to have Calum in your Team! Thanks and merry Christmas to you all x Lisa johnson
