My car is only 14 months old. I tried to get this recall service done 4 months ago. My courtesy car was cancelled at 8am on the morning of the appointment in January. I was told that Porsche Silverstone didnt have any cars they could loan me. The next available appointment with a car was some 4 months later.

from the initial call to the handover the service i received from Oli was fantastic. the help and guidance on doing the spec for the car was very helpful and his knowledge was comforting when making decisions.

everyone i spoke to at Silverstone Porsche was polite and friendly and i couldn't recommend them enough.

i was cautious about buying a car further a field when Bournemouth is my local dealer but the service has been incredible and when i buy my next Porsche it will be through Silverstone.

Disappointing overall really. Had fault with car under warranty. Took 5 weeks before they were able to accept the car. Was asked to bring the car in for 08:00 which I did but it didn't even get to the workshop till 15:30 hrs. Then received a call to say kit wouldn't be looked at until the following day. It was then looked at and decided I needed new parts to come from Germany, they were to take a week.
Car booked in for 2 weeks later again as to wait for a courtesy car would mean a 10 week delay. Delivered as requested at 08:00. Warranty work completed for collection at 16:00. Arrived at dealership car hadn't been cleaned inside or out was told short staff but I could get it cleaned elsewhere but would need to bring the invoice into the dealership and I would be repaid. This was a reasonable touch but frustrating really as each journey I have needed to take 2 cars on a 50 mile round trip. Its taken 3 full days to sort a problem that was basically changing the boot mechanism.
Staff were all very pleasant and courteous. However, I have had far better service elsewhere on similar "prestige brands".

I booked the car online from an email, I then was asked to book it on line by text. Later I received a phone call about booking the car in and when I dropped the car off I still had to see somebody to sign something. I don't see how all this booking in helps the customer, it just takes up the customers time.

I had a call to say the car would not be returned on the agreed day which was ok with me, I was told it would be ready the following day. On the following day I made a call to see if the car would be ready, the service receptionist was with another customer, I was promised a call back that never happened. I am now without my car for the weekend.

Always awesome. Friendly, professional service. Everyone knows exactly what they are doing and what is going on. That might sound simple but the details matter.

Pick up and drop off service is fantastic. Kept informed of progress and timings of collection and drop off were spot on.

And....... just to respond to the Managing Director response below, one week after this I still haven't been contacted. I am getting more insight as to where their problems begin!!

My own Experience of Porsche Silverstone is extremely dire. Let me headline this by indicating that due to my previous experiences Porsche Silverstone bought me off with a complementary service in order that I wouldn’t complete the Porsche UK survey – something I now regret. Nevertheless, I think this is an interesting insight to their ethics.

Initially Porsche had my car, a 2004 911, because the date on the car is incorrect (indicates 2005, a minor but irritating issue) and I had support from Porsche UK to get the dealership to look at it - I indicated at the commencement that it was my understanding this couldn’t be corrected, but poor Silverstone spent Porsche UK‘s money to actually discover the same. When I went to collect the car, which they informed me I could, the car was still in bits and was returned unwashed despite committing to this – some 2 hours after I arrived. It is perhaps of embarrassment to Porsche, who pride themselves on technical competence and having more than 50% of these cars still on the road, that they allow tens of thousands of their vehicles to advertise this failing on a daily basis – my own analysis of this fault is that a data field in the car software has been insufficiently sized by one bit!! But, hey ho, move on!

So more recently I sought to take advantage of the complementary service and arranged for the Porsche to go to Silverstone – of course, I am now a customer that they are trying to rescue a reputation on – FAIL!! What transpired was shambolic - the service was completed (supposedly) but I asked that they also validate the heating system on the car which wasn’t functioning correctly. The next I know is that they’re calling me to ask if there is a tracker on the car, fortunately not because it had been stolen, but because the alarm on the car was going off, and they believed the tracker may be triggering it. After several days (!!!!), they then identified that a fuse had blown - how they managed to blow this is quite beyond me and why it took so long to identify it is also a mystery. In the meantime, they indicated it was going to cost me a few hundred pounds to put coolant into the heating system, which I agreed to – after 5 requests to understand whether the coolant had corrected the issue (whilst the car was immobile due to the alarm problem), there still wasn’t a straightforward response! An MOT booked elsewhere had to be cancelled due to the delays with them, so they then agreed to do the MOT gratis due to my inconvenience. Unfortunately, the car failed on a handbrake issue, for which they requested the best part of £500 to analyse the problem – yep, not fix it, just analyse it! Given I wasn’t prepared to continue to support the incompetence, and refused to pay this money, the car was then returned to me in an unroadworthy state – well, sufficient for them to drive it to my home, despite the lack of an active MOT! The paperwork that they committed to provide supporting the work that they had done has never transpired, a side benefit of that being that an invoice didn’t appear either – surely no-one would pay for this calamity anyway? – on that we can agree.
The same day as the car was returned, I took it to an independent garage, who corrected the handbrake issue and issued an MOT that same afternoon for £180, including MOT. So much for Porsche superiority.

My summary is that Porsche Silverstone seems to want it all their own way, they want customers that will write open checks and demonstrate little in the way of capability, expertise or customer service in the way that they do things. It is with great pleasure that I shall not return to them either to get a car serviced, repaired or to purchase a different Porsche (which was on my list).

After waiting three months for an appointment to rectify an issue with a leaking Macan sunroof ( known factual issue ) once again the very evening before the appointment ( even after I had to pass the ridiculous txt check in system they have introduced which basically tries to sell you batteries wipers paint jobs etc ) they called me at 4:30pm to tell me in pigeon English they haven’t got a courtesy car available Porsche service levels are so shocking I have bought 7 Porsches over the years NEVER AGAIN will I deal with these idiots … I have two friends one just bought a 911 Turbo from Leicester Porsche he is fuming at the lack of service and after care sales terrible terrible out of touch management

Shortly after arriving to drop off my car for a software update I was told that my appointment and provision of a courtesy car had been cancelled by Sytner without my knowledge.
What could have ended up being a PR disaster for Porsche Silverstone turned into the complete opposite following the involvement of Jack Giles.
Jack was nothing short of outstanding in all aspects of the way he looked after me and my car.
By the way jack had nothing to do with the cancellation of my appointment. From what I could glean it was a mix up between your central service bookings team and the dealership.
Jack is a credit to Porsche GB.
