I was a complete beginner when I started swimming classes. I started lessons in my 40's, I was a little apprehensive about learning at such a late age. I soon realised I wasn’t the only adult learning to the swim.
Emily has helped me gain the confidence to swim on my back, and I can now do the backstroke. Emily has been extremely supportive and patient. I honestly thought I would never be able to swim but now I can do the backstroke when I go on holiday.
I can’t thank Emily enough for doing an amazing job.

Clare has been great with my 8yr old son. We started in Stage 1 and in just over a year we are at Stage 7! My son really enjoys his lessons and looks forward to seeing Clare every week. She keeps the pressure on whilst making it fun for him at the same time. They have built up a great rapport together. I will be sad when the lessons end!

My Grandaughter has lessons with Cara and is coming on brilliantly. Cara has a lot of patience and is very knowledgeable making her an excellent teacher.

The instructor of my daughter's swimming is fantastic and very professional, she knows how to deal with kids :) Perfect!

Wow. I was very nervous about swimming until I met Neve. She put me completely at ease. I went at my own pace. Neve has given me a lot of encouragement and confidence to get in the water. I never thought that I would get to the stage I’m at . I would highly recommend the company and Neve.

Excellent swimming lessons! Tash is absolutely brilliant with my autistic son. He wasn't able to learn in a conventional class and is progressing so well with her teaching him. The venue is great as well, nice and quiet which works well for us. Best decision I made.

We have been with Swim Now for over 2 years and at the start our instructor didn’t quite progress my daughters, then aged 3 and 5 as quick as we had liked, however since we’ve started with Beth at Hilton Resorts World, my girls have progressed from strength to strength. Beth is always professional, calm and has a great rapport with my girls and us as parents. She has so much patience and we are extremely grateful that she’s assisting our girls to grown in confidence and skill in an areas that is critical.

Swim Now cancelled 6 lessons in four months! At almost £50 a lesson, it was too much to lose so I asked for a refund. Swim Now refused to refund me and I was told I would be given an hours lesson to make up for the missed lessons. However an hour proved too long for my daughter and she gave up after 45 mins. I was then told I would have to gift my remaining lessons to a friend!!! Also the communication between Amy and the instructors is non existent…. The poor instructor didn’t even know about the “hours lesson”.

I would avoid this company at all costs, at least the HALIFAX BRANCH as Amy will pester you to get you signed up and then ignore you when she owes you money.

Shame I can not give a zero as this company is all take. Over priced for service provided and take lessons away from you if ill as I was told to advise as soon as possible but then as usual in small print you have to give a week notice, I mean how do you know a week in advance you will be ill but then ok for the instructor to cancel same day hhmmm. Also clearly see on dates missing and not had lessons but say you have so lose even more. So I would say if you think it is ok for everything to be about them and not you then book otherwise avoid.very very poor customer service.

Don’t even deserve one star.

I left a query on Sunday, November 9th, and received a call back within minutes. The person took my details and offered a tester lesson for Wednesday. I booked it for next Sunday. However, I wasn’t informed that rescheduling or cancellation wouldn’t be possible for this booking.

I realised I had another appointment so I tried calling them but no one answered. The next day I sent an email but still got no response. After another day I called again and was told that according to the terms and conditions on their website and in the email I received after payment I couldn’t reschedule the session. The person on the phone suggested I should have asked about the terms before paying but wasn’t prepared to accept that the person taking the payment should have informed me beforehand.

Swim Now need to make sure they give clear joining instructions for each venue. Because I wasn't give any I was late for my lesson.
Swin Now need to have confidence that coaches are appropriately skilled for level of lesson requested. I don't think my coach was experienced at coaching my level.
Coaches should have access to the information given on booking and make sure that they are prepared .

With the help from the swim now instructors I’ve gone from a complete non swimmer to being proficient in 3 strokes. The instructors I’ve had lessons with (Eloise and Will) are lovely and have helped me develop massively over the past year. And my contract manager Chloe has always been available over email and phone whenever needed.
Each lesson is taken at your own pace, I understand the lessons are pricey but the whole experience has been worth every penny.
I would recommend the company for any adult looking to learn to swim!

I asked for a taster lesson and everything went well, the £50 payment was made, the guy on the phone was very positive and helpful, booked the local baths in Halifax, all seemed great, the swim teacher(Liam) was excellent.
Then it was downhill from there.
The area manager called to book a course of lessons. I wanted 12 lessons, paid up front. Nothing complicated, just a one off payment. The manager didn't seem to understand or didn't listen as they kept trying to set up a direct debit. I eventually managed to arrange payment, although it still ended up as a one off direct debit so it worked out I was going to be charged more.
Then the swimming baths announced it was closing for 6-8 weeks after my first lesson.
I contacted the manager who didn't tell me anything useful and then I received an automated reply that she was on holiday for a week!
Another area manager who was covering contacted me and wanted me to pay for the full course then wait for the baths to re open, I said no, I didnt want to wait. I then received confirmation that the payment was cancelled. I thought this was the end of it.
It is now 6-7 weeks later, the baths must have re opened and I am receiving messages from the teacher saying I've failed to turn up for my lesson.
I am also receiving phone calls from the manager which i ignored after the previous calls I've had with her. I am not a customer and never will be.
I wish I'd read the negative reviews before contacting this lesson provider.
Organisation is a shambles and unprofessional and now it seems I can't escape the contact with them either!

When my son first started swimming lessons somewhere else, he really lacked confidence. But once he began his one-on-one lessons at Swim Now, he improved so quickly and now absolutely loves being in the water! I honestly can’t recommend Swim Now enough — they’ve given him so much confidence!

My 14yr old son has recently completed a crash course in getting all his strokes up to life-guarding standard with the lovely Jas at Cardiff’s Hilton hotel. In only a very short time he has come on leaps and bounds. I was very impressed with Jas’ clear & concise instruction, demonstrating each part of the stroke with fluid execution poolside. Jas broke the stroke & breathing down into parts in a way that really ‘clicked’ with him. Having been mainly self-taught, these one on one sessions have been worth every penny for the speed at which he has advanced. Partly because he has concentrated far better than in a group situation and partly because Jas is a brilliant instructor.
